Funny way of showing respect and love by killing him and then electing a PM who shares his murderer's ideology.

Loved it. I grew up in Pukhtunkhwa, supported National party in some elections, attended their political rallies and read some articles and books on Bacha Khan in the USA, but this discussion way more detailed than all those. Great job !

Whatever I have read about Badshah Khan I can very well say he was one of the great person of Indian subcontinent of the last Century. If India would have remained United then his stature and respect would be just equal to Gandhiji or Subhash Chandra Bose and after the demise of these two great Indian sons that is post 1948 he was undoubtedly would be the tallest person in India.

Bacha Khan one said " you have thrown us to wolves" when country was partitioned. He was right about Pakistan and how Pashtun were treated by paksiatni punjabis.

I know Bhagavad Gita preaches lying, but here are the facts:
1948 war with India - Pashtun Akbar Khan
1965 war with India - Pashtun Musa Khan
1971 war with India - Pashtun Yahya Khan.

There's a section of Bacha Khan's arrest and exile on Wikipedia. Read it and tell me how many Punjabis arrested him. But I do agree that Pashtuns like Abdali were taught a lesson to remember by Punjabis, so they went elsewhere and decimated Marathas like Balaji Bajirao.

He said this when the CWC accepted the partition plan and the NWFP was accepted to be a part of Pakistan despite it being a non Muslim League ruled province. It is high time that India reposits Bacha Khan's movement in its national narrative. We must do justice to such a great soul. This will also help in restoring the list ground of Indian secularism.

Frontier Gandhi or Bachha khan great ,visionary leader, second to him was Keizer Hayat Tiwana, then Allah Bux soomru but Pakistan Muslims rejected his visionary leaders and accepted Jinnah communal politics .Moreover British were establishing secularism in Britain but encouraged Jinnah to establish communal or two nation theory in Pakistan. Results of Hindu hatred are facing Pakistan even today and more troubles are still awaiting.

Can you name one Pashtun scientist? The only one I can recall from the back of my mind is half-Muhajir half-Pashtun Abdul Qadeer Khan, and we all know how he got his fame. Bacha Khan may have been a hero if we were in the 20th century, but in the age of information, he's just another relic that present generations exploit for political benefit. Bacha Khan was the very anti-thesis of Pashtun ideology, but he's redundant now, especially when the age of revolutions is behind us. Using Bacha Khan as an example of Pashtuns is like using opening of electronic media as an example of Musharraf's democracy. The root of all Pakistani problems is money. The sooner we realize this the better. Every second you spend watching existential videos on UA-cam is a second you don't spend on watching programming or digital marketing videos readily available on the same platform.

Wonder about the journey of Pashtuns from being builder of Takshashila University to creating Baccha to Pashtun tribals who raped & marauded J & K in 1947.

Bacha Khan was rejected by Jinnah, Sufi Pashtuns and Shia Pashtuns.
Pashtuns rejected him and accepted Pakistan which was either a mistake or deliberate.

The natural habitat for Pashtuns is Afghanistan, not Pakistan or India. India can't even control Kashmiris, who are much more docile.
