- This week on WE|Sail, we take a little break from diving and head to another anchorage in Fakarava, where we learn for the very first time how to fly. We attempt to kite surf with a local school and get waterboarded instead.
After we have friends over for a pizza party and then take the day off to do absolutely nothing and just chill on the best little beach ever.

I"ve always loved Fakarava. I think the craziest thing I saw though was when a channel chummed the sharks and almost lost feet and possibly legs ect !

I'm not a fan of being water boarded or drowned, so I would probably pass, but DAMN that looked like sooo much fun!!!!! Maybe I could learn wearing a snorkeling mask? 😂 😂

Always wanted to learn to kite sail.....great job Erica.....if you ever would like to have guest that would just love to do what you would like to do at your pace my wife and I would volunteer....some one's got to do it.....we would love to talk to both of you about boats and what you've learned to help us get the best overall boat and the right size....hope you win the best channel award....cheers

OMG! you did so well with the kitesurfing! I spent 5 days in Mexico learning (an amazing place to learn I have to say), however I still have scars from the bloody kite throwing me around like a rag doll!

It's pretty much flying a kite when you were a kid. But you do have the drag of the water.

NO one learns to kite that quickly...wow way to go. Its a great sport to pack on you cat. Learning to rig and launch from the stern is another ball game. Whats wrong with the port engine? MDI box shot?

Oh thanks so so much!! Ya I think that they are when we were first transitioning from land life to sea life, we did a few of our “road-trip goodbye to the US” so maybe that’s them??
Love your content. Would you please reduce your distance from the microphone when you are doing voiceover. you'll significantly reduce the echo and improve your vocal dynamics. I'm not suggesting you need to buy anything, just improve your technique. Podcastage on YT is great reference material for this kind of stuff too.
Hey thanks for the suggestion, really! We do struggle with the audio and it’s our biggest challenge I believe (I also believe that’s true with most channels, audio is tough) but we appreciate the kind message

Ya we have wanted that for a while- it’s just tough to mount and then retrieve, and a permanent one that’s waterproof is very expensive
