Loved Ashes mod. Really filled that space of "Post Apocalyptic FPS" that was missing during the heyday of DOOM and BUILD engine games when everything was space and marines.
Yeah I really like Ashes too. I think it so good it should be for sale on steam.
Valiant has an alternate version called "Valiant: Vaccinated Edition" with no custom weapons or monsters. I don't really mod beyond custom MIDI packs but if you can't live without smooth doom and PSX effects you definitely can and should play Valiant.
Love the color palette of Valiant... gonna grab this one as soon as I get home
My top 3 wads is 3 ancient aliens 2 alien vendetta and 1 lost civilization, though i quite like your picks too

So you say "don't use mods" on the wads... but is it because it won't run properly?
I would really love to try these out with the "Brutal Doom" (v21) mod in place!
I always recommend keeping it simple but if you are more experienced with modding then try it out. It will remove some custom items and enemies however but I have tried Brutal on all of these.

@@spectakil Oh, I just use the ovulus 2 and the sidequest app to sideload different mods. I just mix and match and see what I can get to work really. But it definitely looks cool and has a good feel in VR. You try voxel mod that makes the enemies 3d but still pixelated?
BD or PB. I cant go back to vanilla Doom.
I do enjoy BD but there is something about the vanilla experience.
