I wear compression socks!! I recently had heart surgery and a pacemaker placed in. I also have POTS! you can get really cute compression socks online with different patterns for people who dont want them to look like “nanna” socks. (nothing wrong with those btw but who doesnt like cute socks) So far ive worn them during the day for 3 weeks and while on hikes. Definitely help with circulation

As an ex owner operator trucker, I know the feeling of waking up and having NO idea where i am....for a bit, until my brain runs up. It is truly one of the weird things about constant travel.
I enjoyed this video with the more “real and unfiltered” version of a luxury travel experience. It just felt like good friends sharing their honest thoughts without worrying about what people would think. Love that! Also, it’s more relatable (babies cry, seats aren’t perfect, but food is great and you slept well, etc). It was also fun seeing the flashbacks.
My husband and I started doing this after seeing it here. On a recent Southwest Airlines flight during safety announcement the flight attendant said “to those of you who brought us chocolate thank you! To those of you who didn’t, please take note.” 😂😂😂
I love this because it reminds me so much of the older Kara & Nate travel videos that were put out for the first 3-4 years of their travel adventures and I always felt that's what hooked people to this channel to begin with.

I came here to say this also, I flew in the 70s and 80s and got a sad piece of something chickenish if the flight was over a few hours. We did get peanuts then though.
It's amazing how it transformed from one of the worst airlines into the best over the course of 20-30 years. As you said, even the meal service in economy is excellent. I have been to Istanbul since the new airport opened, though. Ataturk Int. wasn't nearly as nice as the new one appears.
Ive flown that exact route many times in economy and the trip back from Istanbul to Chicago is never that great, because of the people who are also flying back.

Flew Turkish airlines in 2019 from Chicago to Istanbul (and back!) and one thing that stood out to myself and others in my group was even in economy we got little complimentary pouches with goodies like chapstick, socks, headphones, lotion, toothpaste, etc, but we also got a single serving wine bottle! Had never experienced that in economy before it was amazing

Years ago our country awarded certain presenters on television a merit for being great to those with hearing impediments. Then I had no issue but now I struggle to hear without volume and subtitles. Both Kara and Nate are lovely to listen to. No subtitles.they’re both crisp in their speech
I bring chocolates as well for the crew and on one flight the pilot came out and thanked me and then over the PA system he held up the box and said "take note.. This is the best way to thank your cabin crew. LOL. I was so EMBARRASSED 😳

Three things I travel with: 1) a small grinder of fresh green peppercorns 2) individual packets of crystallized lemon juice 3) Za’atar - a blend of herby thyme, tangy sumac and toasted sesame seeds - sprinkled on plain yogurt on a pita or cream cheese on a bagel, or bland salads or chicken, it adds a fresh savory punch to food everywhere

Yes! My daughter and I also synchronize our movies on flights. On our last flight a couple of weeks ago, we watched "The Impossible". I've also done this with my son as a fix when his headphone jack was broken. I started the movie on both our screens at the exact same time, let him listen to mine while watching his, and I read my book. The flight attendant was impressed with my solution, since she couldn't do anything about the broken jack.
I’m sorry, but these extravagant, expensive trips feel really tone deaf, in an economy where most people are struggling just to stay afloat. Also, some of the comments about breezing through security, etc, just feel so entitled. Maybe tone it down a notch.

Great video! And OMGOSH… brought back fun memories when I was able to go on a work trip with my daughter to Abu Dhabi we flew Turkish Airlines same set up. It was such an amazing experience! We flew from LA, California to Istanbul then on to Abu Dhabi. Thank you for sharing!
