I've been worried sick about the future of node (worried that y'all would lose sight of the "hang out" quality of the videos.) I love node because when I watch the videos I feel like I'm sitting there hanging with a bunch of friends. Its really nice having a confirmation that the videos will continue to have the style and vibe that I believe is one of the main attractions of the channel. (also please have more vids with the fearsome foursome Brandon, Niko, Sam and D :) )
Thanks for this amazing episode. Don’t be afraid to bring other members of the Corridor to the podcast. I would love to hear a conversation with Christian for example, about his background etc :)
I like the fact that you're moving podcasts to discussing specific topics in depth instead of a bunch of headlines. I still wish you would stick to the longer format as I usually listen to this in the background for long periods but I understand.
Defo glad about the direction of node, the LAN party content is legit unique and fantastic. Been a sub for 8 years and think you guys are still killing it
Glad I get to be in the first 1000 views for the corridorcast on 2020. Also im totally one of those people who found you guys through the first VFX react either trending or just in my feed!! Im so happy you guys made that series, completely blew my mind on the world of VFX that totally went unnoticed to me before. Being born in 1999, year of the Phantom Menace, its safe to say that the vast majority of film I have seen uses CG yet I never gave it as much attention until you guys! Really learning a lot through your channels! I really appreciate the channels and the content you guys output, its really lighthearted, genuine, and all around entertaining. You guys have got something special going on for sure, keep up the great content and good luck for 2020!! I hope you reach all your goals :)))
The fact that the single topic vlogs do better is because its easier to watch for new viewers. Which I understand. You can reach more people. But for the longtime fans it's waaay more enjoyable to watch the old type vlogs.
I loved what I heard about Node. When I heard Niko reference LAN Party I was excited. I remember watching those videos drop and I’d love to see some more of them. On the other hand, when I heard about the could you survive series, I was conflicted. It sounds like a direct take from Jake on Vsauce3’s could you survive the movies. Over all good work though haha!
OH MY GOD! I am so happy you guys are continuing to do the podcast! Still one of my favorites and I was truthfully sad to have discovered you too late. Keep uploading :)
I’m glad that you guys are moving towards bigger and better things. But as a university student who doesn’t have a lot of expendable income, I’m worried that I’ll be missing a lot of quality corridor content. Alas, if it allows you guys to grow into the direction you all seek, all the better. You guys have put out a lot of good stuff and I am ultimately obliged to this movement for a lot of the happiness in my life.
Here’s what I would like to see. Not what fans would like particularly but what you would like to make passion projects and things you’ve been afraid to try
Friggin' loved the horse analogies. 😄Also, I'm VERY excited about the website. Have yet to become a Patron for you guys cause I was waiting for something substantial to contribute money to, but I like the sound of the new site with a point system. The whole idea of getting your funding directly from your viewers is something I always imagined would be the best way to go about doing things so I'm glad to see you guys finally taking that approach. Been following your work since 2011 after seeing 'Frozen Crossing'. Enjoy pretty much all the content you make and am very much looking forward to seeing what Corridor, the Crew, Node and all of y'all do in 2020. 😉 Oh and keep this comfort horse going.🤣The podcasts are great since we get to hear some of your thoughts and opinions on things. 😊
Honestly what I enjoy most from Node was/is spyfall and the airsoft games and more creative games. I feel like there are already so many video gaming channels out there.
The couches idea is amazing, this was one of my favorite podcasts because it felt more like your sitting down hanging out with the crew which is what I like. 2019 was corridors beat year with the crew channel and especially box artist episodes. Might have to bump up my Patreon contribution!
I don't think it changes much. Although I usually watch, this time I just listened and the only difference in listening is you don't hear people picking stuff up/putting stuff down on the desk. So that's good.
I personally loved the vlogs that went between more than one topic, would be better if maybe you didn't cut back and forth between them as much, but also it just worked for the way everything went down. I think trying a little different thing out is a good idea, long videos where it's like the last corridor crew video wasn't as vlog styled as I like, it was a great and funny story, but it's turned into something completely different than the behind the scenes vlog. Sometimes it just seems like it's not the bts that you guys used to have, and that's what I loved about you guys the most.
Loving the podcasts. Been playing catch up on them and love hearing what you have to say about all these topics. Also some really cool guests I knew nothing about beforehand
I gotta say folks, a website is an interesting idea. I run my own website with a bunch of other people, and let me tell you, it's difficult to get people to go there. People want their content all in one place, if it's anime, they will only look at one aggregate site to do it and not leave that site; for independent video, it's UA-cam. So you need something unique on there, a reason for people to visit over UA-cam, and the exclusive videos are a good idea. But since it's not on UA-cam, you'll need a way of notifying people when you post something new - emails, but people don't like to be spammed. One approach I quite like is notifying people of a weekly schedule through Patreon. Anyway, I'm no expert - experiment and find out what works best for you. One other thing you might find interesting, is that when you were talking about what content is right for which channel, it crossed my mind that I barely know which channel it's on when I'm watching one of your videos. Node is clearly separate, but the rest of it is all corridor to me. I suppose I'm not your average viewer though. Loving the videos, especially the AI dungeon ones. Here's to a great 2020.
Not sure if any of you are good with analytics/economics but have you guys tried to create an economic model to see how many people you predict will become members of the new site? Also you could put out a discounted membership for the beta and offer that out to viewers on the Corridor/Corridor Crew channels that wouldn't include the point system yet until everything is worked out within the site. Also gives more time to finish the point system and test it.
I'm so glad you guys are launching your own subscription site. It sure sounds like a nice and direct way for additional contents plus no UA-cam compression. And it's such a relieve knowing the Patron could already cover the start up cost of the website. A question would be, is the site gonna be similar with what College Humor's Dropout? If so, would the Corrider UA-cam channel became more of a preview of your own site?
Look up Floatplane. They have collaborated with Linus Tech Tips (the people who own it) before. It's very possible they do that because Linus just shot a video with Niko, most likely discussing this behind the scenes
When niko said "... we wanted to play old games like rocket league .." I just felt really old at that moment because i still thought that rocket league was kinda new (i still remember when it first came out)
Yeah it's not that old it's just not many people call it that anymore. CS:GO came out a little before it and people wouldn't call that old because it's still one of the most played games currently on Steam despite the core base of the game not really changing much.
Awesome. Would be nice if we could see the videos too while you are talking about them. Also, do you guys think Quibi has a chance? Or will burn up like the other video services?
The plan for this year seems really interesting. Hopefully, you'll bring out the comfy colt more often. It's one of the better podcasts I get the listen in the background while working on university studying. There's this UA-camr, Michael Reeves-the turtle slayer and tech genius of Offline Tv, that I would love to see him on the podcast. I think he's cute and quirky when discussing programming and machine learning, even if he's on the young side. Anywho's, I enjoyed yet another podcast!
I loved your 2019, Bosstown Dynamics videos were the best across all of the channels! Also i second the Node worry and love. I miss the 3 videos a week and what is happening with D?
If ur talkin about older games TF2 is a blast i still play it, i miss the days of when you did, if you need them i can point you to the servers where you guys can play alone
My plans for Corridor in 2020: 1. Bring back LANParty. Sitting around on computers playing some sort of online RPG or something is always good. (Sounds like that’s a check!) 2. More of the Corridor Everyday other day style. 1-2 videos just isn’t enough. 3. DND. C’mon, people are begging, here. 4. If any of these things conflict with your current channels, make more channels and hire some new people. No one loses. I know it would be somewhat of a risk, but if the money from those channels can jump to supply the justification for its existence, everyone wins. People do enjoy all of your videos, but the long-time subscribers that have been around for years, I think, deserve to be heard just as much as the analytic numbers of the newcomers. I dunno, I guess it’s the “long time customers” vs the new comers and the long-timers feel that they are losing to the new comers. Kind of turned into a rant, sorry about that ._.
it's weird to see content from right before all the sh*t hit the fan, no one had any idea what was coming. This was a year and a half ago but it feels like three months ago...
Considered joining FloatPlane(.com) ? Seems like the obvious thing, instead of trying to build it yourself? (unless thats what you are talking about), though they dont atm. have the point system you talk about later on. AFAIK. Its the Linus Tech guys that started it.
Instead of your own site, why not try something like Floatplane, Linus Tech Tips' new video platform. It's very much like that. Sub are channel-only, quality is through the roof, streaming is developed etc also.
Please do a corridor cast about node!!!! i have been watching node since the beginning and would love to hear the history behind it, why Freddie left and how it has changed. I love the idea about taking node back to the old days of hanging out and having fun. i really loved the halo video, that was great! Another idea for the corridor cast is to do an interview with jake, that would be super interesting!
seconded. the fact that corridor "acquired" the channel is super interesting as I've often wondered who actually owned it during and after Tagged. hope Brandon makes more appearances than he has lately.
personally when i say that i miss the old vlogs, its not as much the a, b and c stories its more the everyday life im missing, the past the vlogs we have gottten have been more "set up" i guess?
I like the website idea, but you should also consider LTT's floatplane as they already have the infrastructure needed to host videos and are actively working on it. Hosting your own video website is gonna cost you a lot and I hope you guys are hyper aware of that.
Suggestion: publish a quarterly similar to the vlogbrothers. Maybe it’s different because they run a bunch of charities, but if you want viewers to feel connected to the process, publicly showing a budget and how it’s used may make people feel motivated to bolster the budget. Idk. Just tossing that out there.
I've been watching you guys for 8 years. I think Prism was the first thing I watched and been watching ever since. I can't believe it's been that long. Anyway, have a great year fellas! ;)
I'd love to see more in-depth brainstorming sessions on the next corridor / any vfx video! Maybe discussion on how are you going to create a certain effect. You would release them after the release of the said video. Is that an option?
Super excited for the future of Corridor! I have been a horrible supporter. I recently just subscribed, after YEARS of not being. But I never let a video get away! I've been in the shadows of UA-cam absorbing everything you guys have released. And I have been learning too! I always wanted to dabble in VFX, and if it wasn't for your channel, my love would not have grown. You fellas have opened my mind so much to the film making industry that I am now looking at going to school for it. Its something I would love to do! I'm going to pull a Jake here, but extend the length. In 5 years. I want to be working with Corridor. Call it a dream, but I'm working on making that a reality. Then again, who knows what the future could hold!
I've been worried sick about the future of node (worried that y'all would lose sight of the "hang out" quality of the videos.) For real I thought they were going to stop doing Node all together, I honestly would love more airsoft.
Yeah, it’s like “LANParty” type feels.
Digital: the professional company
Crew: the UA-cam channel
Cast: company business meeting
Node: company employees at the pub
I was about to comment something of similar sentiment, but you pretty much said it better than I would.
getting home from school and Freddiew posted a video with BTS footage, vibes.
FLOATPLANE, guys PLEASE go talk to Linus / Luke (LTT). They've got exactly what you're looking for!
Remco Katz we don’t know what else is there on the site
🤔 Nico did a video with Linus
They talked for sure
Maybe they did it already
This is exactly what I was going to suggest as well.
The fact, that Niko was in a recent LTT video makes it quite likely.
Yup
Oh wow. Never been this early for anything. To add, one of my highlights of 2019 was finding and binging most of Corridor's old content.
Definitely, i really miss the old style
One of the funniest episodes ever made was back in 2012 on lan party mario chase on nintendo and using the wii u
YESSSSS, that episode was what made get a wii u and my 20 year old friends and I still love that game
Proud Crewton here.
Been a sub for 8 years and think you guys are still killing it
You guys always manage to iterate and make what you do better and better and I cannot wait to see where 2020 goes!
Glad I get to be in the first 1000 views for the corridorcast on 2020. Also im totally one of those people who found you guys through the first VFX react either trending or just in my feed!! 24:02 MINECRAFT LAN PARTY 2020 WITH THE NEW CREW PLEASE!!!!!
Why this podcast is underrated
That's amazing, guys! Can't wait for the website, just became a Patreon fan ;)

float plane daddies
So glad to see the corridor cast back. Excited to see what all the channels do in 2020!
Oh fuck yes these boys are back, this is the most hype I’ve been in a while, one of the best podcasts out there
I love your podcasts and everything you guys do. Keep it up!

Are minors even allowed in the corridor studio? /s
@@Coayer Remember, hes both 12 and 22 at the same time. So technically that rule doesnt apply

are we getting any more onewheel vids?
Make them longer
This is probably mentioned 10.000 times in the comments below... and you where with them a little while ago.... Floatplane
If ur talkin about older games TF2 is a blast i still play it, i miss the days of when you did, if you need them i can point you to the servers where you guys can play alone
0 dislikes. Impressive.
Please don't let the guillotine channel die! Where else can I find pure unadultered guillotine content?
Yah
Have you looked at FloatPlane? Why have you decided to make your own platform instead?
FINALLLLYYYYYY
wow they arent dead, i though the videos on corridor crew and the corridor channel were pre-recorded years ago
I'm the one percent here! yoohoo!

Why does Jake sound a bit different, also play more Ai dungeon on Node love it
Jake had a ears surgery or it is his new gangster teenager look ?
do floatplane instead of your own site.
Hey, I'm a one-percent-er!
Yo! Take the crew to Taran tactical!
Another Game of Thrones AOE 2 video?
Longer episodes are way better. You have more time to go into more depth on more topics. Why split it up?
yeet
Sam, bring back a DnD game night. Surely with the crew you can make a hilarious game.
