Awesome collection! I've always loved the quality of Yamaha guitar's, my sister has an acoustic that's her favourite! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks mate, great guitars indeed, an a great value for money too
I have SG2000 vintage white like new, it’s amazing guitar
Amazing one indeed. Thanks mate
Amazing collection and playing. The most underrated guitar ever.
Thanks mate, the collection is even bigger now, please subscribe!
Japanese Yamahas have a tonal integrity that I don't find with other brands. Since I bought my Attitude bass I haven't looked at another, I've done every gig and every recording on it. I've had a few SG2000 and 1000 and regret selling every one of them. Still got a Japanese 500 which has been played to death by previous owners but still incredible tone.
I agree 100%. Japan made guitars are master luthiers instruments, consistent and reactive though time. Please subscribe mate
@@TheSpaceGuitar done thanks. Your other videos have persuaded me to get a JC40 when I have enough money. I tried one last week and love the tone.
@@GravyDaveNewson thanks my friend. Play a 120 before buying a 40!
@@TheSpaceGuitar the 120 is too big and heavy for my needs. What I particularly liked about the 40 was the distortion control which you don't get on the 20, even on 1 or 2 it gave the clean tone a lot of 'hair'
@@GravyDaveNewson ok fair enough. Don’t miss the chance to try one out, anyway. 😉
I live in USA and admire your collection I'm finding it difficult to purchase my desire to guitar guitar guitar which is the I'm finding it difficult to purchase my desire to guitar which is the SBG1820There is 1 and Canada and 1 and Germany But neither location can sale to the US, I will somehow buy one soon, it makes no sense why I can not order a custom built one from Yamaha perhaps I can get one spec made by a boutique Luther (hah) at this point I think that might be an option! I am going to look online in Europe to a used one obviously, enjoy
Go on Reverb.com, there are plenty of shops, or if you want I can give an Italian shop that will ship in the US with no hesitation
How do you find the SG-1820 compares? Heading to Japan and the ability to pick one up new. Not sure if I should look at a vintage SG-1000 or SG-1500. Looking to get as absolutely close to a Les Paul Traditional tone as possible. Thank you for the great video!
If you are looking for that tone then the SG1820 is the one to choice. Great guitar, better than any LP but different from a traditional SG like the 1500/2000 which are better imho
Have you ever played an SG3000 with the Spinex pickups? Would love to know your experience/ comparison. Great video, awesome sounds, thanks for the upload!
Unfortunately I've played one few minutes through a Roland Cube amp. I'm trying to buy a good one but I can't find anything at a fair price or good conditions.
But the 2009 SG3000 reissue Alnico 5s from what you say, are higher output and more transparent than the original 80's/90's Alnico 5's? Do you know why they didn't put Spinex into the reissues? I presume that the new Alnico 5's are better than the Spinex. What do you think? @@TheSpaceGuitar
@@bufon63 the Spinex was a unique fusion of elements than imho was much more distinctive than the classic alnico. They sound quite similar though. A thing I can assure is that my 77 SG1500 is one of the best guitar I've ever owned
Subbed...
Thanks my friend
Can you please tell me which effects are you using on 13:18?
Boss volume pedal before Boss OC5 octave generator. Then delay and reverb. Please subscribe
Do these have nitro finishes?
No, thin poly finish.
I have a purple SG2000, they only made 600.
Nice one mate!
Can I buy one of your Yamaha SG collection?
🫣 which one?
@@TheSpaceGuitarCan I Buy Your Yamaha SG 3000 ?
@@G.A.F2024 well the 3000 is a piece of my heart…it would be really difficult for to part from that guitar. Where are you from btw?
@@TheSpaceGuitar so, which one do you prefer to sell your Yamaha SG?
Btw, I'm from Indonesia
@@G.A.F2024 don’t you think would be a too much expensive purchase, considering shipping and custom fees?
