Everyone else has already said it, but I'm grateful to know the rules. I didn't even realize there were rules. I use diminutives, but just from hearing them, not from knowing how to form which.
HI, it's really a good idea to study how words are being formed in every language because it's the better way for good understanding and building vocabulary. My local dialect in the Phil. comprises of Spanish words, we use in a different way but the meaning still the same. Thank you so much!
Finalmente yo entiendo cómo hacer este. Gracias.
+LaDoris B you’re welcome! 🙂
Gracias por la explicación! Finalmente supe las reglas.
Estoy un poco confuso acerca de lo que dijiste sobre los plurales. You said diminutivos only work for singular words. Does that mean I can't pluralize diminutives, like "perritos"? Or just that I can't use the formula on a pluralized word. Like, "perrosito".
+Justin Richmond-Decker that's a great question! You always need a word in singular form in order to make it diminutive, and then you can pluralize the diminutive word (like perritos). You can't use plural words (like perros) and make it diminutive. Hope that answers your question. 🙂
I really like the pace of your speaking in this video, so many UA-cam videos have someone presenting everything like they are being timed in some quick speech contest. You presented everything nicely and you used lots of examples and provided the rules. Thank you/Gracias!!
Thank you so much! 🙂👍
Hi. Could I ask you where you are from and how you learnt to speak English?
This is a very good idea to learn nouns but you just put up in the video
How about someone's name? Por ejemplo, would the name Blanca be "Blancita" or Blancacita. Also would Amanda would be Amandacita or Amandita? Or something like that lol
