I really appreciate this short. Oswald was such a forgotten character, he wasn’t even known when he was brought back (save for Epic Mickey), but he’s a character that deserves plenty of acknowledgment because had Universal and Disney not been at odds, Mickey probably wouldn’t have existed. Oswald could’ve been the one known around the world (and he was for a moment but barely). He deserves the new recognition and I hope Disney does something with him
@@wilsonweiseng6485 they did multiple things with him. He got his own short after years, showed up in a commercial, got his own Lego Minifigure, showed up in once upon a studio and returns in epic Mickey rebrushed. What are you talking about?!
And for those who are not aware when they acquired the rights for Oswald back along with the cartoons, they created the epic Mickey video game to help younger audiences, catch up with who Oswald was, and it in my mind was a perfect way to re-introduce him to a new audience, cause good Lord, the amount of content from the vault of Disney used the first and second game made it feel like the entirety of Disney was welcoming Oswald home
Correct. Disney/ABC traded ESPN's Al Michaels to Universal/NBC for rights to Oswald & the 26 Disney produced Oswald toons. Universal still owns the Walter Lantz produced Oswalds.

Walt Disney’s first job was in Kansas, right before this at 18 years old he got hired for the Kansas Commercial Illustrations!

We need New Epsiode of Oswald the lucky rabbit

Epic mickey players know about Oswald

Oswald is cute and mischievous. He has a knack for tech and loves his gf/wife Ortencia.
And then we had Epic Mickey
What I know is that I am legally in my rights to make my own Oswald Cartoon now, thanks to the Public Domain.
