So i play blues harmonica but I'm in a country/ blues bluesgrass band. I thought I'd see what this could do sounds good brother keep it up
Excellent lesson. Well put together, concise, but all advice was appreciated
Just found your channel. I’ve been learning harmonica for about 6 weeks. I can bend pretty good now. I’m wanting to learn all the country and bluegrass licks I can.
Great stuff thank you so much!
you're most welcome :)

That's really great to hear thanks! All the best from London ( I hear Copenhagen is a wonderful city!)
Great video
Awesome stuff! At some point I thought I was done learning harmonica from UA-cam, but your video's are really inspiring me to get into it again.
Funny you mention Mickey Raphael, I just saw him for the first time today on an episode of Monk guest starring Willie Nelson.
Great to hear! Yeh isn't he great! :)
Great info!

Could you share the backing track that you used? Thanks for this lesson Ed. I’m working on a recording of lessons you’ve taught to share with you soon!
Hi Kevin, great !
Yes look down in the comments for the one in French :)
I shared it there
@@TheHarmonicaBarge perfect!!
素敵!
What what’s the first tune you played I really liked it and would like to learn about it nice happy sort of on road type of vibe
Hi there, I was improvising over a nice backing track that I use in my Bluegrass & Country Courses, but it was mostly just a melodic idea from my head :)
When I have a phrase/lick memorized and then I try to change the rythym of it - syncopating or accenting different beats within the bar - I find sometimes that I struggle. Some of my initial memory work produces licks that sound too robotic, almost like a child's wind-up toy if I'm in the high octave. Then when I try to move beyond to something more interesting I lose my way, and I have to slow down again almost as if I'm starting over from scratch. Does that just mean I don't *really* have it memorized yet?
playing around with rhythm and accents takes plenty of practice. Go nice and slow and make these changes slowly, you might take a whole week just to try one lick variation. Remember, good methodical rhythm practice will have wide reaching benefits through all of your playing :)
This is a really good bluegrass warmup! I will be using this. How do I get to the new Beginner Bluegrass course you mention? I don’t see the link.
Never mind. Found it! Gonna give it a try.

Bonjour,
La suite de cette jolie musique s'il-vous-plaît?
ah I will have to translate! :)
@@TheHarmonicaBarge Thank you. Maryline
I wonder if it may be this you're asking about ua-cam.com/video/AVnK9BBPQU8/v-deo.html
I'm having trouble sliding and getting the notes to sound right. Any tips to a very inexperienced person new to the harmonica
Try some really simple melodies in first position, ‘oh when the saints’ etc and go really slowly. Move the harp and not your head. :)
And you may want to take a look at my Beginners Folk & Blues course- harmonica-barge-store.sellfy.store/p/folk-and-blues-course-level-1/
What is the key of this scale and harmonica position of each lick?
All 2nd position, key of G Major
@@TheHarmonicaBarge Thanks!
third lick, the last 4 draw should last two beats, but you only play one beat :-) Nevertheless, great lesson! Thanks
Thank you! And Well spotted sir :)
Beginners site “doesn’t exist”
Sorry, is there a problem with the link?
My apologies, all Links should be working now!
