thankyou for the kind words and thankyou for watching enjoy the rx10iv new videos soon once this weather we are having changes from rain rain rain to something else lol
It's very exciting to learn something new about the RX10M4 as the information helps me be a more efficient and better photographer. I really like the quick access tip for the Format tab as I'm always fumbling for it.
litterally go to menu then purple camera then page 9, scroll down to function menu set and then go in there and just add stuff very easy to do then when you push FN it will bring up the choices you chose
Extremely useful tutorial as ever, Stuart. Still having great fun with this wonderful camera. I confess I occasionally suffer from zoom-envy with my fellow birding friends who are using the Nikon P900 etc. but in the end I'm really very happy with the Sony RX10 (when on earth are they finally going to give us the m5??!). Watching one of your videos the other day I recall you said you only shoot RAW. Anyway, I'm tempted to give that a shot but I'm wondering whether this will mean that I'm going to have to purchase a new editing software. At the moment, using JPEG, I only need to use the simple (and free!) editing software that came with my PC. Cheers.
thankyou but the p900 and p1000 are terrible quality compared to the rx10iv . sony will release it im sure at some point now the a74 is out we may see the new tech being used in the other cameras ie rx10 series or maybe a new era a new camera who knows , try photoshop cc a month trial and see how you feel you can buy elements which is more basic i sub to photoshop and bridge from adobe includes light room which i dont use. for £10 a month.
Hi, have you use the smartphone to control camera? If so how have you found it? I have tried to control camera by phone and found trying to shoot using continuous shooting it just doesn't work. Go to look at pics and it hasn't even taken a shot. Cheers
Great. Thanks. Also thanks for recommending the camera, I bought one after watching a lot of your informative videos. Got me back into photography after 25 years (old SLR) like the camera, first proper digital camera. Still learning it.
I love what you do with this camera. I am a novice and I am taking a trip in a few days and will be focusing on sunrises, sunsets, and landscapes. I don't do videos so I am wondering what I could substitute on the FN menu that would be of assistance. Any assistance would be appreciated. I need to know more about the bracketing modes and settings for these specific situations.
have fun i have not used bracketing for years just no real need any more of if i do for landscape i normally just shoot one shot adjust my exposure snap another etc . fn menu button is there for anything you want or need in there just experiment and you will soon think mmmm damn i need that in there. hope it goes well
Not had the RX10 1V very long so i find your videos very helpfull keep the videos coming .THANKS STUART

Thanks Ron 😊
Thanks again for your very useful advice. The one thing which baffles me is how to assign a function to the Fn button from scratch?

@@Rob-un6pj glad to hear it. Photography is a wonderful thing
I don’t find the steady shot function very good on the RX10 4 compared to my other non bridge cameras ,why is that
You have to wait about 1 second for it to spin up its also only lens stabilisation not sensor stabilisation
