To anyone thinking of travelling this road please be aware that on a dry day especially at the weekend there would be at least 10 times the traffic that you see on this lovely video. Lots of cyclists and lots of fast moving motorcycles. I live here and travel these roads frequently so I’m just passing this on because it can get extremely busy. Thank you for the great video 👍
@pen25 not busy at all. I'm just back from here today and it's the first dry sunny day we have had in around six weeks and the roads wore fine at torr head, not busy, but just keep an eye out for motorcycles and sheep as both are in abundance and do be on the roads where you least expect them.
How nicely people of northern ireland have maintained the beautiful creation of God...like its very clean , gorgeous the feilds , the street it's very clean. Thankyou for uploading this video we really appreciated it ❤❤
Thank you for posting this. I am returning to N. Ireland after 21 years this Spring with my wife and two kids and we plan to stay in Ballycastle for 4 nights exploring every nook, including Rathlin Island. Both kids have never been abroad and I am looking forward to showing them all of the Causeway Coast. Watching your video brought back great memories - the landscape is largely unchanged, which is why I love it there. Frozen in time and simply breathtaking scenery throughout! Again, thanks!
It’s been 2 years since driving those roads. I would occasionally recognize a spot and appreciate the fact that I was fortunate enough to see the beauty of Ireland. Even being there 3 times it seems to draw you back.
I love that so many people love NI..so thanks for showing it off around the world..I’ve travelled many times along the coastal route and in all seasons and each time I see something new and beautiful .. I was hoping you would make a right turn down to ballintoy harbour .. it’s one of my favourite places .. Thanks again for great video.. happy motoring
Hello Northern Ireland, thank you for sharing this video out in the wilderness!! I am really surprised to receive this video but it is very scenic and peaceful! Thank you for connecting I am really surprised. Regards.
Thank you for posting this. In dec/2019 I did a trip through Ireland; It was one of the best trips I've ever made. I drove the same way and the weather was like your video. Great memory.
Have been down that route a number of times now, it's way better during the summer and when it's dry but you do have to be careful as there are many blind bends and sometimes people can drive there as if they've lost their heads.
Greetings from Australia, drove this route twice & stayed at The Bayview Hotel twice, on a nice sunny day we did the Rope Bridge & Giants Causeway, the next day was bitterly cold and wet , adds to the magic of this beautiful country, can't wait to go back, also done a lot of the Irish drives featured on this site
I spent a week in Northern Ireland last October, my first visit for twenty years. We stayed in Ballycastle and made this exact journey stopping off at the rope bridge (unfortunately closed), the Fullerton Arms to check off one of the GoT door's, the causeway and finishing in Bushmills where we enjoyed lunch in an old bank.
Never been to Ireland, but my great-great-grandfather immigrated from Ireland in 1855 to Canada from Carrick on Shannon. Watching these videos, It feels like home!!
Very strange that there was so little traffic on the roads. Wondering what time of day this would have been. Also the soft quality of the light was very interesting.
I live on the southern end of the Northern Ireland coastal highway and as viewers can see, driving on N. Ireland road can be like skiing a slalom. I nice job filming.
Thank you for taking the time to pull into a vista point parking lot where you can swing the camera around to take in most of the view. Beautiful drive. Now I understand why so many Irish moved to the North Coast of California. I love to follow your drives on Google Earth where the following points of interest along the way are noted: 7:29 right-hand turnoff to Kinbane Castle ruins 24:00 turnout overlooking Dunseverick Castle ruins 32:49 turn off from Main Street where Old Bushmills Distillery is just down the road Instead of using batteries, if you have a GoPro Hero camera I believe you can use a GoPro power adapter plug into the cigarette lighter/power point and run a cable to the camera for uninterrupted recording.
Great video as always, if you are still here you should video the Antrim coast road. Instead of heading towards portrush from Ballycastle to to carnlough and on to Larne. It’s a historical road and has many sights to be seen also! If you stop off in carnlough I will give you some locations 😄
I have just returned from a trip to the whole island. The roads are 3rd world quality, no hard shoulders and at points, curbs where to scratch your alloys, full of potholes and ponds… The scenery tough, was marvelous, and the local drivers where very good mannered and patient
Just returned to US on Saturday after two weeks in Ireland. Started and finished in Dublin. Two nights in Belfast after going through this area. Was actually quite hot. Upper 20’s the entire trip. Minimal rain. Beautiful area. Enjoyed the “trip again” with this video. Never wore a jacket. Some rain in Belfast but was great otherwise. Drove about 1200 miles in the two weeks. Want to go back with less driving.
Beautiful country. You probably cannot imagine the contribution that the precision of the exact date would bring! To identify when the vegetation begins to wake up, situate the video in relation to weather archives... This is essential data, few people think about it. Simply indicating the month of the year is not enough. Thank you
