Great video, I've been commercial fishing for years and just picked up some great advice and tips from just watching your video, my jiggers now on order cant wait to try them out, thankyou.
Thanks Kayleigh - I wasn’t sure what this float was having recovered one from the margins recently. Gonna have to give it a go now……can’t wait (though may have to buy 1 or 2 more).
Hi Kayleigh, just wanted to thank you for all your videos they are great . I only started match fishing last year . I was always last in your club matches but since watching you I won my first match the other week . I was up at Lindhome a few week ago and it made my weekend and saw you up there . You was with rob Hughes doing some filming . Never got to say hello you was busy but made my weekend seeing you . Keep the UA-cam going I love it 🎣🎣
👍
well done Kayleigh, never used a jigger before, will have to try it one day, thank you
Thank you Kayleigh I wanted to know what the "Jigger" was and listening to you and seeing how you work it has cleared that up for me. I'm relatively new to pole fishing so still have a lot to learn and I'm now thinking that I should have started using a pole years ago. Thanks again Martin
Awesome Kayleigh 🎣🐟🐟🐟
Fabulous, looking forward to giving this ago 🥳👍
Cracking video thank you 😊
Amazing catches 👍
cheers Kayleigh always wondered the correct way to use the jigger. look out the f1s. great video again. keep em coming
👍
Great video Kayleigh good advice as our club are on Bonsai in a couple of weeks time so a good idea to set one up just in case they come up in the water so tight lines 🎣🎣🎣⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
Perfect for that lake 👌
hi Kayleigh great vid thanks
I’m new to pole fishing but wondered why you had three rigs set up ? Couldn’t you just move the float stop up and down the line looking for the taking depth ? Thanks.. Great vid btw
Great video
As regards to storing the rigs I put mine on the round hook length storage spools to stop the line kinking. Works well for me so hope this help someone
👍
Preston💙💪💪💪🏆
Really good video Kayleigh now I know what to do I’ll get some. What size do I use as there are two in the pack please?
There are two sizes available. 4-6mm pellet size and 8-10mm pellet size.
They come two in a pack and come with a pack of rubber line stops too 👍
Great video and well explained. Never fished a jigger before. But definitely gonna be giving it a go 👍
It's a superb tactic
Hi kayleigh would a artificial maggot in the band be OK then loose feed live maggots.
Супер
Great video Kayleigh, do you ever do "slapping" with this method. ?
Yes usually Soon as you ship out. A few slaps can work well
@@UKprestoninnovations "A few slaps can work well" Said the Bishop to the actress.🤣🤣
Spot on again Kayleigh...
I've tried it before without success.
Gonna be trying again on Saturday
Have you tried drowning your maggots in water over night ..
Easier than nearly popping em
Leave them in the water when your there aswell otherwise they come back to life
👍
Just made a couple of rigs up
Even managed decent looking 2" hooklengths 😂
Gonna try with micro bands on a
16 Kkm b
Theory being they will present a 4mm pellet better
Can only try 🤞
I was thinking of using a jigger fishing across in about 2 ft depth, reckon it would do any good there..just before the reeds?
Yes you would want the smaller 4-6mm size float
@@UKprestoninnovations Nice thx hun.
Kayleigh, I'm a great fan of the Jigger. I can understand the reason for the short hook length but could better results be gained by using a slightly longer hook length (4") or longer. How the heck do you tie a 2" hook length?
It's personal preference. Alan Scotthorne for example swears by a 6in hooklength so there are no hard and fast rules.
We will try do a video on the short hooklengths
Use a loop tyer.
Kayleigh what are the two sizes for in the preston jiggers
The two sizes are 4to6mm pellet and 8 to 10mm pellet size. Sometimes on bigger water with lots of wind the larger jigger can be better
Hello. Is it possible to lower the hook to the bottom? Or only to catch in the water column?
Generally you're fishing for fish in the upper layers.
@@UKprestoninnovations thanks
Hi are those pellets on a lasso ??
Yes
@@UKprestoninnovations Nice one. I always use a lasso as I find bands tend to snap.
Who first came up with this brilliant method and can you use it in matches,by the way, great video Kayleigh.
I featured it in match fishing magazine when I was editor. Ian haywood was doing very well with it and was making them. Not sure who came up with it first.
Definitely a good and funny technic when fishs are ready . Tx for this movie ! Think , when small fishs raise to the gozzers swapping to pellet on the hook , more difficult for them to catch it .
What is this yellow ''soup ''shown during the video ? What is the purpose of use and how to use it ?
It's a slop made from supercrush expander groundbait. It can be very effective for f1s as they feed well in the cloud it creates
@@UKprestoninnovations noted with tx , so we can use it on the surface to make the water cloudy, correct ? In this case what is the benefit , I mean what's the action regarding the carp ?
Guys ,newby here, why kill the maggot? I thought a wriggling maggot would attract the fish better? Thank you for your help.
You are right. But when using a live maggot, it can wriggle out of the bait band. A dead maggot will stay in the band for several fish.
@@UKprestoninnovations ok, thank you appreciated
Would one of these work in the margin?
If you have a deep margin and Reed cover, f1s will feed shallow and the jigger can work
@@UKprestoninnovations how deep would you say is deep?
Do you not find that 11 laccy is a bit light?
It depends on the stamp of fish you're targeting
She literally said it was fine for smaller carp and F1s.
It always amazes me how you seem to be the only one on the lake. I’m assuming this is because you are fishing lakes that are only used for matches.
Funnily enough there was an angler to the right of kayleigh
Be
So, a slip float. Ok.
No, an inline float called a Jigger. Did you not listen?🙄
Why do you need a float ? Its not doing anything.
You need a float on most fisheries
Why would anyone want to catch a f1 ? ,
They have ruined match fishing , no real angler would want to catch a f1
Please elaborate
@@UKprestoninnovations they are just cheap x bread fish used to stock cheap run money making day ticket lakes ,
People want to catch real carp not cheap imitations , maybe some nice tench , bream , roach etc
Fishing all about the £££$$€€ these days not about the sport of it or the love of the outdoors or nature just the money
@@mikehenry7479 "cheap x *bread* ? Maybe we should call them Hovis fish then.🤣
If you don't want to catch them that's up to you but don't have a go at people who do. I don't match fish but I go to places where F1s are stocked and I don't have any trouble with catching them. They put weight on quickly and they fight well, so where's the problem.
Cheer up mate whatever you do.
