Raymond E Feist is the man , one of my top 3 , Robert Jordan , David Gemmell , and Feist ,I’ve read his Midkemia books many many times , on the very small chance that he reads this , thank you very much for the countless hours of entertainment your talent has given me 👍👍👍

I second that wholeheartedly. I have read the Riftwar Saga, and the Serpentwar Saga as well as Daughter and Mistress of the Empire (along with every other Midkemian novel countless times starting at the age of ten. When I read the last page of Magicians End last month (now 30 years into my love of this world and Raymond's style and characters I have been friends with for so long), I actually had tears streaming as I read. I smiled as Raymond closed a chapter of his life, while I set the tome down with a sniffle and sigh. A chapter of my life closing in cadence, happiness, nostalgia, and loss mixed with an odd fullness. It was a strange moment in my life actually. Besides RA Salvatore, I have never been so emotionally invested in an author's work. I will continue to read Raymond Feist novels, and read them a few more times. But it was if my life would never be the same, as that thick paper back novel thumped down with finality on my desk. And all I can do is offer my sincere thanks. And that simple sentiment doesn't even due this man justice. 💕💕

Happens to be the first interview I have ever seen, and the first time in 30 years I have heard the voice of my mentor. You have a new sub, needless to say. And I hope to see your channel grow from here. You may look into some R.A. Salvatore works. If you aren't familiar, they are very similar in style and structure.

@@mickmack8999 Absolutely. You won't be disappointed. He has a fencing background and writes his fight scenes are very descriptive and well thought out. You may not be familiar with the author, but if you have read any Forgotten Realms novels, he's the creator of the Drow Elf Drizzt Do'Urden

@@D_Chess thanks for that , I always struggle to bond with writers as I inevitably compare them to my favourites, Brandon Sanderson has made my list ,but I’m always searching for the next Jordan ,Gemmell or Feist ....Terry Goodkind held my attention for a while until the books started to irritate me with the repetitive plots , any recommendations are appreciated 👍

@@mickmack8999 It depends on the genre for me as far as how I would rate my favorite authors. You're familiar with Piers Anthony I would assume, but getting out of fantasy and into action/suspense, I would recommend Vince Flynn. Very talented author who passed far too soon.
