Clone Selected in Tekla Structures 2019

- When editing GA drawings, you often need to repetitively add annotations, dimensions and styles for building objects throughout the drawing. The new Clone Selected feature clones existing annotation objects, drawing object representations and styles from selected source objects to selected target objects in GA drawings. With this feature you can reduce manual repetition considerably.

It will be also helpful if you create similar tool particularly for assembly drawing. Just clone detail is very speedy task rarther creating so many save as, filter, rember and apply. Just do once and apply. It is urgent need for those, who have not done much setting and saved setting.

@@leesnyder6784 If this facility available for other drawings, then there will be great relief to user, like setting up lots of dimension rule , view setting etc. User will make / modify one view as per his/her final result without taking much pain for setting of lots of rule, setting many parameter and save favouties etc. and just use this feature. User may have to work only once for setting one favoured view style as per his / her / orgnisation practise. This can be done by normal user, who is not brillient in setting much rules but ordinary cad person. So, much inteelligency is not required. I also recommand / wish to have to save this view style which may includes dimensioning style , other parameters also and can be use for similar object. Say for secondary beam, one style, which can be saved with one company's / client requirement with specific name - style setting - and can be use for other similar object in the same model as well as other porject.
This feature is available only in GA, right? cuz I've tried to apply in Assembly but icon is deactivated!
Correct, for assembly drawings you would be cloning the entire sheet.
Version-2017:
On the GA drawings, we sometimes need to shorten/lengthen the grids to make the drawings cleaner/better . But when we take a SAVE AS, the modifications to the grid lines go away and it become like the original one. Is there any solution of it?
Do you mean doing a SAVE AS of the entire model? If so, can you explain your workflow and why you do a save as? Would it be possible for you to send your model with steps to reproduce this to your local helpdesk so they can investigate it further?

what is shortcut keys to view selection part or welded part?
If you press SHIFT+ I it will inquire on the object. Or you can right click and select a part or a weld and choose Inquire part/weld. There isn't a hot key set up to inquire on the weld but you can definitely set one up. Can anyone tell How to place drawing exactly at center of layout
Does this apply to mark placing? Meaning if I have some random or preset marks for certain parts on the to be cloned area, it will clone the content and placing for those existing marks as well?
Yes it will attempt to match the source objects for part marks as well. There is a setting you can set that says "Place marks and associative notes according to protections settings" if you'd rather activate that when the marks/notes are being cloned.
Is there a way to clone info to another GA drawing?
You can copy a view from a GA drawing to another GA drawing to then use that for cloning
Is this command work in shop drawings?
Currently this command only works in GA Drawings
