I feel like this is a good lesson for not only club fitting, but ball fitting as well! A high spin ball might be too much for some, but if a person prefers to play a lower iron spin ball...these would be great! Glad to see some PXG on here as they seem to be a top competitor in the DTC market.

I'm hoping you guys (going forward) will be doing more PXG reviews and comparisons to other manufacturers. PXG makes great equipment and they are not as expensive as they used to be.
I tried these in my fit, easily the best feeling wedges I’ve tried. Couldn’t justify the purchase - at the time you could get 2.5 Vokey’s for price of one.
I recall Nickalus being asked by a punter as to how they could create more backspin. He asked them whether they hit approach shots long or short. The reply was, "short", to which Nicklaus replied, "So why do you want more backspin?" 😑
I like PXG, i went to their shop on International Drive in December and got treated fantastically, their 0211 range is great. But i do question their prices on their premium range, its just insane asking $300 for a wedge, it just prices the majority out of getting them.
@@SePhO11not MG3 but I played Vokey before I switched to Sugar Daddy II’s a year ago. My wedge swing speed is 105mph, within 4-6 months my vokeys were toast. There are 2 big positives about these PXG wedges: 1)The availability of a C-Grind in a 52. If you're going to be a 52/58 player, you absolutely want a C-type grind on the 52 to increase the flexibility. 2) I like bounce so I can be very aggressive into the ball - thus a 13, that can be bent weaker to 12or11 or played at 13 is a huge positive. The price is not a positive. An alternative for C-grind 52 is a 54/12 Cleveland CBX2 Fullface bent to 52/10 (which I've ordered)
Interesting about the heel bias weighting in some wedges because of the longer hosel, I’ve always noticed that I tent to hit my wedges way closer to the heel than my other irons… definitely going to check out some different weighting next time I buy wedges
Please do a video on the PXG 0311 forged wedges. I was fit last month and chose these because of price and they feel phenomenal, softer than Sugar Daddy, I think. Playing well for me. Thanks gents!

Always love the vids !!! Great wedges but at over twice the price of the Vokeys you can replace your Vokeys once and still have money left over for a dozen balls !!! and that doesnt include the shipping charges they add on , but great wedges for that guy on Monday's Q&A with his Bentley clubs !!! I can probably get 2 years out of these wedges, which I’d go through 4-5 sets of Vokeys. Also they’re just amazing. They’re like cheat codes for the short game.
Love the performance, don't love the price. PXG has some bizarre pricing and I would have thought if they priced these competitively, they could really disrupt the wedge market. BTW, would love a wet ball test against the Ping, see how that spin holds up.
The other irons and drivers have reduced in price because they have refined production lines and developed those products in a linear manner to reduce the costs. These wedges are basically one off and extremely expensive to produce. They have other amazing wedges for much cheaper, but these will not drop in price much. Sugar Daddy wedges will likely always be a super premium price because of how much R&D goes into them.
Not these. Do you understand how they're made? They're milled from a solid block of steel like a Scotty Cameron. It's wild overkill IMHO but it takes a very long time so the price is no surprise.
@@krusher74 Sure but the reason they cost way more than the PXG Forged wedges is the production process. It's wholly unnecessary to mill wedges out of a single block of steel but they are very nice. 🤷♂️

PXG woods, hybrids and putters for the most part look good. But their irons and wedges look like trash. Reminds me of a prototype that they don't bother to put the finishing parts on.
Depends on your land angle. Steep land angle with high spin can be a recipe for disaster on soft greens. But if you flight it lower then it offsets the high spin. If you're worried about too much spin a ball change would probably be the best option
Most pros are working on reducing their spin. Into the wind I like Mickelson's advice, take a longer club and hit a 3/4 shot. Lowers spin and trajectory.
@rsg2704 - Mine off a mat is closer to 8500. But I'm a bit lower spin/launch than most. My 58 launches at around 27-28/9500. I have to cut it to hit 10k.
That sounds like a decision problem to me. Never hit a high launching, high spin wedge into a a breeze. All it’s gonna do it balloon and push it back at you. Always play a lower shot to combat the spin and the wind
Had a set of Gen 3’s in my bag, just sold them and fully regret it. PXG gets a ton of hate because of their marketing and price fluctuations but in my honest opinion they make the best irons out of anyone else in the market when it comes to raw performance. The Gen 3 and 4 0311 T’s are imo the best sets of irons ever made, all around package from feel to performance. I’m a fellow club junkie and I’ve probably had over 30 sets of irons over the past 5 years and nothing has ever come close to PXG’s performance, their woods are a different story… hopefully they get it together with Gen 6. With that being said these SD2 wedges have me drooling. 😂

They will be £100 in a year
How much spin is too much spin? I spin my 50° at around 11000 and get stuck in a front wind
If off a mat 9500 about right for a 50 degree
@rsg2704 - Mine off a mat is closer to 8500. But I'm a bit lower spin/launch than most. My 58 launches at around 27-28/9500. I have to cut it to hit 10k.
That sounds like a decision problem to me. Never hit a high launching, high spin wedge into a a breeze. All it’s gonna do it balloon and push it back at you. Always play a lower shot to combat the spin and the wind
Get ready to be buying a lot of golf balls these things have to be tearing the cover up
I went with S23 wedge, just couldnt justify $299 a wedge
As a mid to high handicap player, this seems like a tool that's a bit beyond my ability to maximize...
Too expensive = Who cares!!
What settings are the greens on your FSX set to? I can get 8k spin but it doesn’t zip back like yours do 🥲
Had a set of Gen 3’s in my bag, just sold them and fully regret it. 😂
For everyone complaining about the price: you’re going to use this club far more than your $500+ driver.

Your wedge and putter are the most important clubs in the bag.
