I like that car points budget is tied to car level. I don't like that what upgrades you can install is ALSO tied to car level. Upgrades shouldn't be locked, just limit my budget per level
So Indianapolis isn’t being raced “backwards” the oval races are pretty much the only ones that run counter-clockwise direction. Nearly every road course race there is run clockwise.
The upgrade system isn't as annoying as I thought. But its still frustrating knowing exactly what your car needs, weight reduction, better tires etc. but you can't because you need to level up.
I wish they'd do it like this (my personal opinion) For career mode you have to level your car up like it is right now. But when wanting to go online or just mess around in free play you should be able to upgrade to whatever you want I don't hate the system think it could be better tho
Honestly Nick. I think the upgrade system is good because, it's basically what we asked for and every other UA-camr. We all asked for a longer progression system. Start from the bottom (e.g start with slow cars and working towards faster cars). but on the other hand the developers also didn't listen to us- (We're not really starting with sh*t boxes) so everyone basically got a little bit of something we don't like.

honestly i like the feeling of being forced to take a car and build it up. feels like you learn the car. i think levels should stay, but everything should be unlocked to buy. keep the car points, but let us spend the points where we want
i like the system because it makes me think about what upgrades would work best like in a race i did i drove the lotus Evora and after doing the first race i noticed its main flaw was power not brakes since in the first race i did brakes so i changed it up to better meet the car not once in the events have i used parts after level twenty I'm on 7/8 sport difficulty all assists but abs brakes and manual off and my one gripe is that i like the system but i feel what they should do is move some upgrades like tire type should be level 4-5 instead of the current level weight reduction should stay at 20 drivetrain should be before engine swaps aero should be below 10 and i could name a few. the reason this should happen is because the ai can get access to any of the upgrades while your still stuck at level one back to the lotus im on a pretty much stock lotus and my ai rivals have race tires aero and other upgrades that im at least 5-10 levels away from. so i feel these changes could still keep what they are trying to do but make it easier for casual players to enjoy the game in a way because the ai get unfair upgrades right now or they should do a re design of the whole system.
Personally the upgrade system is a mixed bag. It allows for experimentation and an understanding of learning the car and seeing how upgrades can affect it outside of just slapping on race components. However at the same time whenever you unlock the ability to get an upgrade, you just get all of the stages at once so it defeats the purpose of using non racing parts if you have enough CP. If they did it so you unlocked the parts slowly, lets say sport brakes at level 5 and race brakes at level 10, I think that would allow for a slightly better upgrade experience instead of making you wait to get the max level parts. That being said, the fact that if you take a new car into an event that you just bought and the entire ai field has tire upgrades, especially race tires allowing for them to be on wets, that automatically puts the player at a disadvantage in my opinion. This doesn't incentivize using new cars since you would have to start at the beginning leveling the car up whereas a car you already have in the garage could be on racing tires so it makes the player question why try using a new car if I don't have to. I see its purpose but when I know what upgrades my car needs to perform and I either have to let the ai level up the car or drive around for hours just to unlock it, it just isn't fun.
They need to at least make it to where a certain car level should be the same if you have duplicates. And they also should make Car Points universal to all cars when you earn them, instead of being for individual cars.
I really think that cars should have randomised unlock patterns for parts. Like cod with guns, you unlocked attachments differently depending on the gun. So some cars could have turbos at level 5, some could have engine swaps at level 20 etc cause right now, I know exactly what order parts have to go on, which makes it not as fun or surprising
Man Hakone is the most gorgeous track in the game hands down and the lighting effects are incredible my only real complaints are the upgrade system and the stock force feedback are horrendous so terrible literally everything is inverted out the box on mine but once you get those settings dialed in this game is incredible
So I actually like being forced to upgrade slowly. Why should I be able to do professional upgrades on a car that I just got. I wish though that they took the Gran Turismo approach where you have access to all base upgrades. And then level 10 you maybe get the sport stuff, level 20 you get the pro stuff. And then maybe 30 you get the customizable stuff? But really I do like they they force you to spend time with your car before you can really change how it is.

If I could make a suggestion to the Car Leveling, I would make it so that the Car Points acted as credit discounts for upgrades instead of being the be-all-end-all. That way, if you have the cash, you could fully upgrade your vehicle from the get-go, but if you wait to level-up your car, you could essentially get the same upgrades for free. That, or have the engine swaps and body kits be the only unlock milestones.
I truly do not mind the upgrade system, but I do think it needs to be severely lowered. You should basically know how your car drives by level 10. That is why I believe the max level for each car needs to be level 20 or level 25
I haven't played it yet since i didnt get the premium edition but i do think they chould have made it to where higher tiers of upgrades chould be locked by car levels and not the entire upgrade category
Honestly all they have to do to make the upgrade system actually good is make it like just to level 30 or 40 and maybe only do 6-10 races to max the car out since that would make the community 1000x happier. Because lets be honest no one wants to afk for 3 hours. That is just way too long
I like the car level and I think that (controversial opinion) its almost perfect but I think it should take about an hour and a half or about one career season (like super sedans premium performance etc) should get you to level 50 and if you buy multiple cars they would all just fall under essentially a folder like how it is pow but there will be a little down arrow and that will show you all your cars and maybe you could give them nicknames like drag race or drift and also every 5 levels or so starts you out 1 car level higher idk just a thought
I like the upgrade system since it makes you pick more carefully your cars and also you are playing less cars, less overwhelming then Forza Horizon, so it's cool to change thing sometimes, I really like the game (20 hours so far and my first Motorsport experience)

hello, i bought the game yesterday and I’ve ran into an issue, I am on pc with a ps4 controller, but since the start of the game my keyboard and controller keep bugging each other. The AI braking at the apex is driving me bananas. I'm actually quite surprised at how poor the AI actually is compared to what they've been promoting. I mean, it is a lot better than FH5's AI, but in it's current state, it is not groundbreaking. Hopefully they're correct in that it will be easy for the developers to continually tweak it because as of right now, unless I start in the top 3-5 positions, good luck catching P1 because they're just gone. Even if my race pace is better, trying to navigate the AI who constantly brake checks me or parks it on the apex on a medium/high speed corner causing me to slow down or go way off the racing line to avoid punting them, I still can't catch up to P1 because they didn't have to put up the bullshit their AI colleagues pull. I like the idea of earning "Car points" to buy upgrades, but I HATE HATE the fact that certain upgrades are locked behind your "car level." I don't understand why we can't have all upgrades available. If you still have to earn car points by driving your car, you still have to pick and choose your upgrades. This still lets you try new things and strategize while still encouraging you to keep driving the car to earn more points to upgrade your car more. This upgrade system is going to go down as one of the WORST implementation of an idea yet. Don't get me wrong, I actually do like the idea of earning car points by driving the car so you can gradually upgrade your car and actually see & feel a difference in the car your driving. I just hate the current implementation of it. If this was a game that had a limited number of cars, say

You hire hundreds of chil- i mean workers in India then you tell them to mine iron.Then that iron get's shiper to a factory somewhere in Europe to get procesed,after that that material goes to car factory where they make cars,they make body,doors hood,engine gearbox etc.After that some of those cars are being shiped to america(that is a case if the ship dosen't caught on fire and sink) where dealers sell those cars 40k over sticker.
