I sewed in a flare into the seam of my jeans for Halloween for my Hippie costume at church and everyone loved it! I'm thinking about making a pair for my actual wardrobe. I love the way you styled these looks! I would wear any of these outfits! I remember when the straight legs were first coming into style in the early eighties and I swore I wouldn't be caught dead in them. LOL! I love them now of course but I would be excited to throw in some bells for fun! Thanks Erin!
All these years I never stopped wearing denim flares/bells/bootcuts! Although all the looks are great, I absolutely LOVE the last look with the poncho. We’ve come full circle to an upgraded ‘70s look! 💗✌🏼 ☮️

Love these ideas! I always found that true wideleg styles overwhelm my frame, but I do have a few pairs of bootcut jeans that I’ve been neglecting. I can’t wait to style them with your suggestions!
I like the wider legged pants because they fit my curvy body better.
The flare leg is probably my best look, but the length and heel height is so absolutely critical that I tend to lean more toward a skinny or crop. Also, I learned that for travel one can't beat "skinny". Makes potty stops in less than pristine conditions so much more bearable.
I was happy to see the poncho idea. I have a question though. How does one wear a poncho with a cross body bag? Or is a cross body bag simply wrong with a poncho? I can never seem to get a look that makes me happy with that combination.

Good point, one time they had just bleached the floor in the restroom and it bleached the bottoms of my flares!
Hahaha you are right... When that happen to me when I am wearing trouser kissing the floor...Before I open the restroom door already one hand is pulling up my trouser... to avoid touching the restroom floor.

I'm 5'10 and 115 lbs so I LOVE bootcut jeans because it allows me to look curvy! The Audrey bootcut jeans by BKE are my favorite. I get them from Buckle and I can choose the length to be extra long to go over my cowgirl boots 😊

Girl, I still have flare bottom jeans that I wore the FIRST time (in my lifetime) that they were in style. Lol! Just found a box in my attic with with at least 10 pair! They're slightly less flared than the ones you're showing, but they're definitely not boot cut or skinny. However, I'm with you...I'm kinda partial to skinny jeans. For now anyway. 😉💕

This is a great video and I would wear all of these looks - especially like the cashmere sweater wrap in look #3. Boot / Flare jeans in both dark wash and white are on my shopping list. I am 5’7” curvy plus size 16 with chunky legs.

I love my flared jeans! I was so sad when they kind of went away for awhile. Whenever i do break mine out i always get compliments. I’m short 5’1” and have a short torso, but i feel like the flares really accentuate my long legs since i have always worn mine this way - with high heels and covering my shoe so they touch the floor. My husband always jokes that i spend a lot on pretty shoes that I’m just covering up with my jeans 😂
Love the video! Love flares! Although I own several pair from my other life, haha, life before skinny jeans, I did buy a pair at the end of summer by Topshop in Nordstrom. They are awesome. White House Black Market used to make good flares. If anybody is going to look into it, they vanity size like crazy. Their denim is fantastic.

It’s a pullover poncho so you don’t have to wrap it!

I am pear and I don't war heels. What kind of trousers would you suggest?
Would these same style tips apply for the wide leg pants that are wide from thigh to ankle? (So not hugging the thigh like in your video). I have a lot of wide straight leg pants (mostly non jean basics) and not sure if I should even be wearing them or have them taken in in the thigh to reduce volume.
Finally found 100% cotton ones. This was a mission impossible. Took a lot of thrifting. Even the length was spot on. I was probably time-warped from the seventies, when they did not knew you could mess up denim fabric with elasthane.
I love my skinny jean uniform but sometimes I get bored of it too so thanks for this video! I'm thin, short torso (despise high waist jeans-they often go drop-crotch on me), long legged and struggle with finding a good silhouette. I'm looking for more hourglass and less Gumby :/ Looking forward to trying your tips.

Erin I’m petite, only 5’2” and I like the look of cropped semi wide leg jeans. I want to try the high waist cropped leg that fits perfectly on my 130lbs shorty leg frame, any suggestions?
Look for a bootcut jean with a 30 inch or 29 inch inseam.
I get the look and I think it's awesome, though I think you look you have to adjust them during the day all the time.
Are these looks for 10 mins to take pics and to look cool or are they actually the ones you can move in and be confident without having the struggle? Just a question tbh

Same length applies! Tailor them 1/2 to 3/4 length above the floor, with whatever shoes you plan to wear! xo

My question is , I am 5,4 just like you, boxy bodyshape , 118 lbs and I have been looking on line for those jeans and I got lost with the inseam! I learn from you, highwaisted is the choice( 10 inch) but I am so lost about the inseam! Can you recommend me an average number please! Hi Erin, do the 7jeans have a higher rise? My experience with them are that they sit a bit lower on the waist but they look higher on you in the video.
What about straight jeans? How do you feel about them? I am curvy, so I don't care much for skinny jeans, but I feel flare are not for me.
