Good video. Thanks. Always fascinating to see intermodal services threading in between commuter rail timetables!
It's a remarkable filming : bright colors, very steady image, captions as needed, very clean windshield, great sound… keep filming ! especially those tracks around London, a precious heritage from last century
WOW. Beautiful and perfect. This video should be a model for quality for all others.
😉🥰
❤
Stay well, drive safe.
PS: Having this quality and weather in mind that all London railway videos becomes scenic, worth to watch and enjoy. I have no doubt that you will get only compliments on this video as it is top of the top. ''Give us more''😉
Nice one!
Really appreciate you taking the time to record & edit this. It's a massive help. I'm Gateway- Wembley return via that route today but as usual, it's at night!
Thanks again 👍🏻
Ill be back on it in a few hours... On the first one up tomorrow morning off Ipswich just after 4am...

Sorry to be a pain but if ever you get a chance to film after Primrose tunnel to Wembley that would also be great! 🤣
Thanks again, really useful & great quality.
@@MrGrunter0 I’m on the case…🤣
@@MrGrunter0 guessing you're at my depot then!😂
@@martins.9352 Yes, I am indeed Martin 🙋🏼♂️
Ben.
Excellent! Well done train ride captures!
glad I found you. enjoyed this ride. thank you
What great memories. I used to collect and deliver to the Marks & Spencer Fashionflow depot on Oval Road at Camden most nights of the week in the late 80's and early 90's. Being a spotter I got the best of both worlds with the Euston departures and freight traffic via Primrose Hill. The area where the electric generators is to the left used to be the lorry park
Great Video!
Do any passenger trains use the track through the site of Primrose Hill station, or is that link freight only? Great view of the Roundhouse.
Is the westbound platform of the NLL (as opposed to ELL) track at Caledonian Road permanently out of use, or was it fenced off temporarily for some work at the station. I presume eastbound NLL trains diverge left at the junction where you cross over the MML, use the more northerly platforms at Cally Road and then the emergency crossover that you mention to the east of it, just west of Highbury and Islington.
It took me ages, comparing lineside buildings with Google's aerial photos, to work out the exact point where the video starts: shame that Google and OS maps don't label Lea Junction and Channelsea Loop ;-)
Awesome
Great video, the picture quality is excellent!
Nicely done 👍
Back in the day, an office colleague would take a steam-hauled commuter train from Hemel Hempstead to Broad Street via Primrose Hill.
So sad to see everything covered in scribble.
The loco sounds like my mum's old washing machine on spin. Great video though.
Good stuff. I've only been on the North London Line once. Not saying it was a while ago but I boarded at Broad Street.
In 1977 I used this line from Richmond to Broad Street, so it was via Gospel Oak. Not electrified in those days, and poor old Broad Street station was rundown.
Don't those 66s burble sweetly along.
Thank you from Australia.
Third viewing, now March 2023.
Many yanks, good photography , however couldi recommend captions, and or commitory, these would maintain interest, when the route does not. A route would also help providing context and orientation. Many thanks for an remarkable journey, not often seen. Patrick, Northamptonshire
Can the manufacturer of the train not build in more soundproofing for the cab and driver.
Great video, lovely weather, but did anybody see the apparition that appears at 0:52 - 0:58.
Yes, I noticed it too, very strange, a ghost!?? 👻
Maintenance of Way needs to clear bushes.
Only available on the Deluxe version lol
Where does that single track come from at Navarino junction
That’s Graham Road Curve. Joins up with the lines into Liverpool St.
Would be better if it was a real cab ride and not a simulator
I must be employed by a simulator then… Hope they still pay me on Friday! 🙄
@@Freightdriver82 Ha ha
so waste all that money maintaining the electrification for what? to use diesel trains HAHAHA. If i were passengers i be cursing management the fk out. Lets spend $2 billion putting up these power lines, and then put in an order for 2000 diesel cars just for fun.
Another great video - thanks for sharing with us!
Graffiti everywhere, doesn't it bother anyone in London? Vandalism, cant they catch them or dont want to?
Always been like that. Likely too expensive/pointless to keep on top of.
you'll find that in every major city
It gives character to a city, even though it is vandalism.
An excellent video but do the images appear smaller than in your previous videos? Or do my eyes deceive me? 🐨🇦🇺
I’ve been playing about with photoshop editor… I’ve sussed it now so normal service will resume on the next video! I didn’t realise myself till it was all done!
@@Freightdriver82 : No worries 👍. 🐨
Many thanks. Love the sound of the Class 66.
Nice run - thank you.
This line from Gospel Oak was only DC 3rd rail until late 1996. I believe it continued to Dalston Kingsland where trains changed over to OLE.
I hope Primrose Hill station comes back into use.
TfL should bring back Primrose hill station and continue the east London line services that terminate at Highbury & Islington to connect at South Hampstead and then Terminate at Willsden Junction. I know that it has to share the corridor from Queens park with Bakerloo line services, but surely another 4th could be squeezed in?
Especially now that HS2 will terminate at old oak Common.
Fab video, thanks for posting! 👍🏻
What about stratford?
What headcode were you on this journey?
I work In Upminster IECC signal box.
Always wondered why the ELL didn’t get all the way to Camden Road, now I can see it’s all about freight path regulation…
Shame they won't link up the ell to the Watford dc line..
@@matthewdavidcole Absolutely - to Willesden LL via Primrose Hill would be a really useful route
