29 minutes of watching shovelware and you get rewarded by an LGR original song. What more could a person want in 2020?
The cover art is just Clint on his way to the thrift store to look for some interesting tech
Few things in life are as pure as Clint laughing over stuff he's enjoying immensely lol
Except maybe STEVE1989MREinfo saying nice.
@@DerthDeboblo Or "nice hiss!" Lol
I typically can’t stand it when people laugh, hum, whistle, or sing out loud in public. But Mr. Clint here simply has a pleasant laugh that makes you want to 😊.
I find it's actually the one thing that ruins his videos for me.
@@RikoJAmado you must hate fun if you hate people laughing lol
"Why does this channel have 100k+ subs?"

Yeah. ”Why does this channel have a silver button?” Then casually drops a sweetly mixed chilll tune with some spicy beats straight out of the blue.
10:12 "Please feel free to distribute copies of this unregistered version to friends, neighbors, lovers, etc."
... my many lovers will appreciate this.
And if they don't, then did they really love at all?
DJ LGR is back with another bop!
Coming from the future of 3022 with his new Mix Tape "Bangers in Heaven 2"
DUDE. You NEED to mix us some chill, retro pc era-inspired electronic tracks. Make them in the vein of house or trance and I'd be absolutely willing to finance the results.
Me too!
A collab with 8-Bit Guy would be awesome
@@Ltulrich This! Holy crap! That would be awesome. Clint has been hiding some pretty awesome mixing skills all along. Wonder if Tech Moan could be brought in for stinks and grins.
I think someone said bring in the 8-bit guy as well. That would be sick.
@@NathanTempleton_Integration Indeed.
But that's it for the moment!
Styxhexenhammer666 is also a decent musician.
LGR just casually dropped a funky beat at the end of this like it was nothing.
Definitely expected "Adventures in Heaven" to be one of those weird Christian games like Bible Adventures or Super Noah's Ark 3D
With the cover art, I expected it to be a collection of Chick Tracts
@@lastcontinue3010 "DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU WILL ADVENTURE AFTER YOU DIE?" and then Discount BJ Blascovich here gives you a sermon while shooting those darn satanic influencers with his tiny gun
Same!! I was expecting bizarre religious gaming.
I was expecting a shoot em up with a lot of girls in it.
You would never get a Christian game called adventures in Heaven. Adventures aren't allowed in heaven because everybody is good there and adventures need trials, tribulations and bad guys
That cover art is the Wolfenstein × David Bowie mashup I never knew I needed in my life.
Looks more like bootleg Nathan Drake
I live in Lakewood Ohio. That address is a balloon store now lol
Hello fellow Lakewoodite!
thank you for the information i never knew that i needed
I live in neither Lakewood, nor Ohio, but I did go to google maps and find out it’s now a balloon store. You should visit them and report back. Send Clint a balloon.
Saw my name and did a double take.
I used to work in downtown Cleveland and frequent the Lakewood Taco Bell for lunch. It was excellent in 2008!
The dude looks like he's blasting a fart and shooting at the same time, plus looks like David Bowie on a Roid rage, classic
I was thinking David Bowie too. lol
Mate I was wondering why it looks like David Bowie after a bad car crash
I did NOT expect Clint to just live-mix some kind of Deep House thing at the end of this video. That shit was fire, too!
Clint, you seriously need to start a SoundCloud.
Or BandCamp
I was thinking this too! That was some seriously good stuff at the end
I was not expecting that level of talent and bruh he just LAID IT DOWN 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I thought I got autoplayed into one of my musictuber subs until I saw it was Clint and I was like "WTF THIS IS SICK".
The bass is fuckin' RAW
This feels like looking through my Steam library at the hundreds of humble bundle games I own but will never play.
Neverlock is absolutely a thing I remember. The irony is... it was widely pirated and I think they went out of business because of this fact.
Seems fair... why pirate one when you can pirate them all... what ya gonna do, go to court?

On first glance I thought it was a Choose Your Own Adventure game. Those covers, man.
"Shockingly" that store is long gone. But this brought back a bunch of memories, I still live in lakewood.
Thought that this video is something related to War in Heaven fps in the 1990s :D

Somewhere out there, a developer is shouting at the screen, "I wrote that game!" 😅
And another one is out there saying "Yeah man, I built that whole menu system thing when I first learned VB3 (Visual Basic), then we redid it in VB for DOS. Good times..."
@Paul Miner
And some developer might lean back thinking: dude, I still can't believe so many people sent me $5,52 back then, I still can live off this...
Nice little banger at the end!
Som much goodness in one single blerb. I really enjoyed the jam at the end as well.
This compilation is nostalgic on another level since it has a lot of DOS games you covered in the early LGR days in like 2011. Good times.
These type of cds always make me wonder if they've managed to include some forgotten program that isn't found anywhere else.
There is much forgotten software. Usually for a reason.
One program i used was desktop delivery. Was the same premise as teamviewer.
Was a great piece of software but I have never been able to find any thing about the developers etc :(
Seriously this is your best LGR Blurbs video so far. Immensely entertaining and fun.
Also can we have a download copy of That remix at the end.
Hey, Clint, can we get a video that's just your little remix that was at the end of the video? I'd like that for my youtube music playlist.
Yes

Came for the box art, stayed for the music.
I choose to believe its Adventures in 'Heaven 2', as in Adventures taking place within a realm known as "Heaven 2", as opposed to it being just a sequel to an initial Adventures in Heaven installment, and since there presumably isn't much information out there on this, my interpretation is just as correct as any other.
For that matter, they might have put in a two as false advertising, pretending they were established long enough to put out a sequel. The two might be totally meaningless, even a typo! I think you're a bit too proud of finding "an alternative". Corruption, not to mention the absurdity of humanity life means hardly anything has any meaning and Heaven 2 might refer to a bologna sandwich or even a good bowel movement.
Some say it's where the wrathful alien god JHVH-1 originates from.

This isn't a game where you get to meet Jesus and ask him questions about the universe? how disappointing!

@@squirlmy so that explains how the rapture is going to be done in the Bible it's going to be through old CD-ROM disc containing shareware that people are just going to put into their drives and get raptured up to heaven if you're chosen. I wonder if God thought this through well considering most computers don't have disk drives now and shareware is a thing of the past. Think he's going to need to come up with a new way to rapture his people.
You don't meet Jesus in Adventures in Heaven 2, you play as him. The game's kinda boring because nothing ever happens and you can't die.
This is too good. Love the sampling at the end
Thank you for showing Oxyd! I played it all the time on my dads Mac PowerPC back in the days.. and I had totally forgotten about it. As soon as you started it I was transformed to 1996 again. Thanks a bunch!! And as always, thanks for quality content
That little mix you wade at the end was seriously awesome! I've never seen anyone use one of those little machines before, I had no idea you could produce something so complex and enjoyable with such a relatively simple piece of hardware and relatively modest skill (I only say that because I don't recall hearing you mention your music producing interest, so I assume it's just a fairly minor hobby; although I have to say that looked - and sounded - pretty skilful to me!)
Given the fact he's kicking a door in with a gun in his hand, maybe the cover art guy is a home invader who shouts "adventures in heaven" right before he executes hapless homeowners.
If I ever go on a k*lling spree I'm totally going to do this lol
28:56 LGR Beats channel when?
Everyone is hoping to come soon!
SERIOUSLY. That's gonna be in my head forever!
If MC Duke is on board, I am 100% in
I want Clint to walk us through all the synthesizers and DAWs he has
Have blerb type episodes where he goes through DAWs for older systems
Oh my god I’m foaming at the mouth just thinking about it
I second this emotion
By far the best lgr blerb yet! I was blown away at the end with your music mix.
Funny! I live in the Cleveland area, and that address is occupied by Up N Away Balloons, which is oddly closed on Mondays. Love the Blerbs and the regular channel- You and 8 Bit Guy are a part of my morning coffee ritual when I'm off work. Keep up the great content!
Dude, I had Neverlock! Ironically, it was a fully registered version I downloaded off of a BBS. I used it all the time, even on games I did buy. It was super helpful for stuff like the AD&D Goldbox games when it would randomly ask you to look up stuff in the manual upon saving.
That coverart looks like David Bowie playing the role of John McClane. It's marvelous.
That music at the end was DOOOPPEE. I want one of those thingies now.
Gosh I'm loving this music stuff you've been doing. Keep it up!
Love the quotation marks around "new and improved".
Also, IIRC at the time I thought Elftree was quite nifty.
I’m dying here for Christmas Clint man... the suspense is killing me
Fuck yeah man loved the sampling part.
Keep rocking it LGR! Love to see both the channel and yourself grow over the years.
Keep it up!
Neverlock, now that takes me back. I used it all the time, mostly with stuff I owned that I lost the manuals for. If I remember right, it worked by dropping a launcher in the game folder that would run before the game itself. Neverlock wasn't the only one out there, I remember there were a few other commercial anti-copy-protection packages out there.

This is the definition of "shovelware"
Yeah, It's not as bad as those CDs they used to sell that said things like "50+1 amazing games" and all of them were made in flash, all of them were obviously quickly made and horrible.
Because you can use the CD as some sort of primitive ground digging device? :)
@@6581punk lolz, it's the idea back in the late 90s when cds first came out, since games fitted on floppy disks the largest you'd get would be somewhere like 20 floppies at 1.4mb each, 30mb so they'd put that on a CD, then just pile tons of crap on top to make it up to 650mb. It's amazing how much you can get on a disk
@@TheInternetHelpdeskPlays Your timeline is wrong. These compilations start showing up everywhere around '93-ish. By the late 90's basically everything was released on CD-ROM's.
@@BobbyOxygen well he's silly to think someone who names himself after a 6581audio chip doesn't already know this. He's also made it sound like this was a low-end shareware tactic. Major software publishers and even PC distributers were putting out terrible software to make it seem like they were giving away whole libraries of software. This useless stuff was on Iomega products like zipdisks and on new computer hard drives. "Educational" software, utilities, "internet suites" everyone was taking advantage of computer newbies. It was sort of a fundamental part of "software" being a product that didn't take up physical space. The transition to CDs made it worse, but it wasn't the cause. Source: being a college graduate who bought a 68k Mac with my wife in '94, AOL online! My relatives, at least, thought me a "techie" and in helping them, found "shovelware" everywhere. The cost and time needed to download things over telephone line modems thankfully spared us from that online.
Your music at the end SLAPS man. Definitely need to release some.
You inspired me to build a 486 DOS PC a few months ago. I'm currently using a very basic and cheap midi setup and have been scouring the interwebs for old shareware games. Internet Archive is my favorite website lately. Thanks for turning me on to a lot of cool ideas and useful info.

Clint you're a super talented dude. First I found out you have a food channel with some VERY nice sandwiches and now I've learned you can drop some seriously sick beats hahaha. Big Earthbound vibes from it! Reminds me of some of the battle music especially with the somewhat spoopy chopped up female audio sample.
MSB moved to Avon, Ohio some time in the early 2000’s. I frequently delivered pizza’s to them and it was all sorts of sketchy. They took over a retail location and covered all the windows. It never looked open, only one or two cars ever in the parking lot, but the orders were huge. Always 4 or 5 half-sheet pizzas, dozens of wings, etc. They were adamant that drivers stayed in their car and they’d send somebody out to get it. I went to the door only once, was let in by a teenaged kid, and saw inside the place. I saw a bunch of kids running around, easily 20+ people all sitting on couches in what I assume was the sales floor. I was very quickly escorted out by a panicked adult, given a $20 tip, and had the door slammed in my face. Again, only one car in the parking lot. That was 15+ years ago and I still remember it vividly. I delivered pizzas for about 6 years, that was by far the weirdest.
In hindsight, given what I saw in that place, all of the ‘heaven’ references make a lot of sense.
