I agree. People joke that "araki forgot" which it does seem like he does on some things lol, but he mostly nerfed a lot of abilities like you stated. Another example is Giorno having damage reflection at the beginning of golden wind. An ability like that would make him even more OP depending on how he used it if he kept it

Only pet peeve with his writing I have is when multiple plot points are made and never explained or characters are brought into the story and never really used which mostly happens with jojolion specifically. Other than that, I still love and enjoy Jojo lol

1:18 I always imagined that when Jotaro got Pucci caught in timestop and noticed the knifes falling he could have just point star platinums finger at Puccis skull, launched star finger (which is shown to be able to peirce skin and bone through dark blue moon) and while that happening grabbed Jolyne. Most stands are basically just a second pair of hands so why wouldn't the strongest non upgraded stand user be able to multitask?
Araki had to nerf him, otherwise the part would end a bit too early.
Honestly, he didn't even need Star Finger. He wasn't using Star Platinum while he was grabbing Jolyne, just grab some of those knives and aim them at Pucci's neck. They're time accelerated, too, so good luck dodging them.

Jotaro’s reason for not rushing Kira was because he knew Kira was a stand user, but didn’t know what his ability is, so he didn’t want to accidentally put himself at serious risk.
Counterpoint: If he rushes Kira while time is frozen, no matter what the ability is, isn’t gonna be any kind of useful in stopped time, so he doesn’t need to be cautious.

Here’s the thing though, Jotaro only had 2 seconds of ts duration during his fight with Johngalli A so that gave him less time. But other then that amazing work
he actually had 5 seconds, in jojo part 4 he had 2 seconds. in jojo part 6 he has 5 seconds but a weaker version of star platinum

Если противник отобъёт гарпун с такой близи, то мы понимаем, что противник видит в остановленном времени, а значит с большей долей вероятности может им управлять, а зная способности врага, можно придумать тактику. Если же враг не успеет отбить, но выживет, значит либо стенд обладает отличной реакцией, либо противник очень живучий, и одолеть на кулаках его будет непросто. А если противник погибнет, то ё моё.
Но есть одно НО. Прыжок. Джотаро, увидев, что Пуччи видит его в таймстопе, должен был среагировать и хотя бы ПОПЫТАТЬСЯ ДОПРЫГНУТЬ ДО НЕГО. Даже если время возобновит свой ход, Джотаро уже БУДЕТ ЛЕТЕТЬ К ПУЧЧИ, а значит будет запас времени, чтобы отвлечь внимание противника. Даже если схватит по мордасу, гарпун уже будет лететь к Пуччи, а он вряд ли уже среагирует на то, что его уже прибило насмерть. А он так-то не такой живучий. Он не ДИО.
Так что всё равно с интелектом Джотаро можно было много чего придумать.
А остальное... Насчёт 4 части ты действительно прав. Фанаты думают, что таймстоп всё законтрит. Но нет! Таймстоп у него длился почти мгновение на момент Бриллианта, а потому лучше пораскинуть мозгами и понять, чё делать. Всё равно они его догонят. Они ЗНАЮТ, КУДА ОН МОЖЕТ УЙТИ. Опытный убийца не будет оставлять следов, потому он точно сначала убьёт свидетелей, а потом уже пойдёт по своим делам. А если он забирает пиджак и уходит, значит, у него уже есть способ всех махнуть. Да и к тому моменту они уже поняли, что у противника есть стенд - деда ёбнул Приступ (нет, буквально Sheer Heart Attack). Так что опять же майндгейм.
И в том же Stone Ocean был момент, который давал выбор.
Таймстоп меньше мгновения, даётся выбор - либо дочь, либо раб божий. Выберешь одного, умрёт другой. Убьёшь Пуччи - умрёт Джолин, спасёшь Джолин - упустишь Пуччи. Так что тут Джотаро среагировать не успеет.
