I believe that God brought me to this sermon tonight because I am having problems with reaping the consequenes of wasted years and being lukewarm and I have sought back the blessings I lost as a result of my sins through God's grace. I am glad that God is breaking my chains and restoring me. May he have mercy on me and continue to work within me.

The remnant applies to many aspects. There is quantity, but then there are quality.
Test the spirits 1 John 4 says:
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God., because many false profits have gone out into the world, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.

This sermon was extremely personal for me. Saved 8 years ago at the age of 42, I struggle with regret for all of the sins of my life before Christ. This was an oasis of joy! Who cares if I'm poor and feeble and my best years physically are behind me. I'M IN CHRIST!!! That will never be taken away! And so many locust-eaten years have already been restored! So much grace I can hardly stand it!😂

God has used and is using the tragedy that was once my life for his glory! How else could i look into the eyes of a lost soul and say
I have been where you are how else could i speak to thier heart with compassion for thier burdens and pains
God has given me the free gift of eternal salvation through Jesus Christ ....truly i am undeserving of such a priceless gift yet the benefits of this great gift goes beyond what i can phathom the joy my Saviour has given me the peace that never leaves me the love i have for others and the burdensome fire i have for souls cannot be compared to anything i have ever known i was saved in October of 2010 the greatest decision i ever made was to trust Jesus to save my sould from the lake of fire.
I do not know you but I love you woth a godly love and i will lift you up in prayer this evening :)
May the Lord teach you and shape you and mold you according to his word and may he bless you all the days of your life.

34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.
35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.
36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it.
Your best years are ahead of you, physically, spiritually and in every aspect. God is able to make all things new. He is a restorer, indeed! God bless!

Worst thing I ever did was walk away from the lord for about five years.
Not even sure why I got away from Him, there was no pleasure in anything I did.
I was just being stubborn.
By the grace of God I still have my marriage and children.
Now I am having to fight twice as hard the strongholds the devil put against me for all that time.
I'm talking about a very dark and real demonic principilaty that has come against me time after time and has caused great delay on the things the lord has promised.

Christ has won the victory! We fight not FOR victory, but FROM victory. He has seated us in Him in the heavenlies! That is our position.
All we need to do is apply Christ everyday to have the right condition: trusting in Him, walking by faith, confessing any sins, enjoying His Word, obeying and loving Him.
Then the enemy and all his spiritual forces of evil and demons become nothing. They are defeated.

Wow, I need to hear this. So many regrets making foolish decisions over the years. What a Savior to make restoration to us. It’s so easy to almost give up and wonder if the Lord cares anymore. I wish we had preachers like this man today.
This felt like it was being spoken to me. For 7 years now I have beaten my own self down for the decade I wasted lost in an addiction to prescription pain medication. Clean now for 7 years I feel the weight of the decade I lost and how I will answer for the wasted time on day when I face God. This is such a message of hope! I can finally lay this weight down! The Lord can restore not only the lost sheep, like my self, but also the lost years. What a liberating feeling., I needed this message SO bad!
Kind sir, yes, lay down all of your burdens/sins at the feet of Jesus. Matthew 11:28-29 Come unto me all of your who are heavy laden. You will not have to answer for the time you lost before you received Jesus blood bought sacrifice for your sins. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and His work on Calvary~ Receive Him by faith, Hebrews 11:1 NOW, Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.
Romans 8:1 There is no condemnation for those IN Christ Jesus. So, put on your Robe of Righteousness and receive His salvation, believe Him, His word is true!

I have been trying to rebuild my life and do you truly trust Christ to provide all I need and show me the reason I am here on this earth still. It’s a daily battle define now not the craving for the drunk but instead it’s the consequences that come from the actions during my addiction.
But if I had the choice to go back and do it over I would not want to change it at knowing what I know now. No I don’t have a life that was ahead of me when I was on my trajectory impressions of my goals and dreams and sorrow them all coming through and becoming reality in my life right as the addiction stepped in into center stage.
I lost more things than I can even comprehend honestly. Everything that meant some thing at all to me in my world just pulled out from beneath me. There’s so much I want to say right now but I can’t do it in a text message like this. So I’ll just save what I’m thinking right now. As I read what you wrote I’m described seeing a white washed clean slate clean white board. It’s like an angel has just sent me iMessage through social media. It’s crazy. But it’s something I needed today to here today immediately today! That’s incredible is it not? So this leaves me now as I said truly without words, and I’m using really good with words and expressing myself through words especially written words, But I’m honestly speechless at this moment gone always shows up. He may never show up on our schedule , as I have found out through life the same way Mary and Martha found out at the death of Lazarus. Jesus Adam came too late. What did Jesus Christ he was right on time. I needed to hear this word I tonight and I’m just trying to express a way to say thank you and I’m wondering at the same time hell you knew I needed that. Restoration, restoration, restoration!
Candy, You at 42, me saved at 22 from a life of sin at that early age; My life changed as all the outward sins of drink, immoral thoughts and ways, etc...the Lord kept me so close to Himself, I prayed all the time, read my bible through and through, then after saturating myself (all my days with scripture) I found Spurgeon & all the great old Puritans and the last thing I wanted was to sin.
However, and too long to explain here, but the devil came at me suddenly and for a couple years though I struggled and while I begged the Lord to keep me near him, I in short, was not as near to my precious God. Last, I can say I still clinged to him and feebly fought the wicked one, just as Pilgrim and Apollyn fought in Pilgrims Progress...but for many years now the Lord brought me back close to him...He sent me illness some would not make it through but maybe He had to take me down after my suddenly being attacked and thrashed about by Satan. I KNOW now and always did whom I have believed...the Lord Jesus Christ. Spurgeon often was used to pull me along too. Amen. w
What a refreshing sermon. The locusts have eaten over 2 years of my family. It's been and still is tragedy after another, yet, I am encouraged knowing that the good Lord is good and all His ways are perfect. He shall indeed restore to us all those wasted years. To Him be all glory and honor.
He touched me, Oh He touched me and oh the joy that fills my soul, something hapened and now i know He touched me and made me whole!!

I have prayed this for many years and am now seeing God’s hand of restoration, grace and mercy. He will restore the years the locust has eaten. Repent and persevere, trusting in His loving kindness, which is better than life. His mercy endureth forever and ever. Amen.

That account is Mary of Bethany from the Bible. She was Lazarus' and Martha' s sister. It's one of my favorite passages.

I have struggled with allergies and autoimmune disease since age 30...I became a Christian at 29 and I am 66...I have tried hard to walk in the spirit and
bear fruit and be an encourager and share gospel tracts...but I have
also struggled with horrible pain and bipolar symptoms.
I know God is gracious and His gift of Jesus is so amazing...but I am struggling with pain and neurological problems.
It is hard to keep from being anxious and discouraged.
Medication is a help and a hindrance...Oh how I would love to be healed and used by God.

In the name of Jesus Christ,you are completely healed and delivered. Proceed to do what God has laid in your heart to do for him. It may be praying for,missionaries or writing letter of encouragement to those who are cast down. There something can enable you .God cares and he is faithful .
I have psychosis. I know somewhat how you feel. Let me share something with you friend.
My condition puts thoughts in my head, I see things that aren't there sometimes, I think delusional things sometimes, but I am being regulated with meds now like you.
You feel discouraged, go look to Noah. He preached for hundreds of years, people acted like he was crazy, and yet he wasn't. God had a plan for him and any feelings of discouragement he may have had didn't save him, it was God who saved him. He got into the ark and was saved from the flood, he and his family. Jesus is like the ark. When we get into his love, when He grab hold of us with His salvation, we are saved, despite our feelings.
Our feelings don't save us. Did you know Charles Spurgeon suffered from depression. I read that he was often depressed. Look at Job. He felt like there was no reason to serve God. But God came in and told him that He knew what He was doing in Jobs life and his feelings aren't reliable
You can feel unsaved, hopeless, helpless, but if you are a child of God, He is with you even when you feel like He aint. He thinks of things we can't. You and I may never be healed on earth from our illnesses but I tell you we will be complete one day in heaven with no sickness or worry. Did you know Paul had a thorn in the flesh that God didn't heal?
Jesus had this to say about it to Paul

His grace is sufficient for us too.
David had people saying there was no hope in God for him but he knew better.

We know better too. Don't let the devil tell you there is no hope in God for you. Realize our feelings are not reliable. The bible says as much.

O what a cruel unfairness to not have been born so that I might have heard this sermon and those like it..with my own ears. My soul weeps with regret that although I was born in the age of greats feats of science....i am starving and half way dead spiritually..but am now being resurrected by this great teaching

Damn, many years passed by and many bad things came to pass, it was sad to be part of it, the Holy Spirit spoke to me in 2007 , everything that he said came true, I suffered in addiction and a really bad marriage. Finally i decided to take control of my life, and little did I know that the Holy Spirit would take control over me, and completely change my life for the better. I used to pray to JESUS CHRIST and God The FATHER AND ASK FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT TO REST UPON ME, AND HE DID, HE DWELLS IN ME NOW, AND I'M A COMPLETELY BETTER MAN, GOD BLESS YOU ALL. True Story!!

The cankerworm has done damage on part to my own actions but God will teach me in what I need to learn now going forward, and will restore what the cankerworm has eaten, the damage for a very long time, restored this year. @@eunicenyakudarica962 thank the Holy Spirit, I am only telling you what I see Him do in me. It wasn't long ago I was worried and gripped with fear about going to hell despite being a Christian.
I learned to trust God more fully, He is still increasing this trust. I think He also wanted me to go through that to be able to help those who are going through fears and doubts.
He taught me to trust in Him, He is faithful. We put our faith in Him and not in our feelings or how much faith we have. Jesus is faithful even when we aren't.
Noah was saved from the flood by the ark. No matter how much he may have worried, or doubted, or felt like the ark wouldn't hold him, it still did. The ark held him, he didn't hold it. Jesus is the same way. He holds us in His love because He promised.

Thank you so much. This sermon applies to COVID-19 100%. If I can just add a point: Locus years can happen to good people (people who do not sin). For example, you were doing a right thing and your business did not make it or you came down with an illness. However, God can make sure that you still reap the fruit of those where you did your best but life did not go according to plan. I hope everyone's locust years will be restored.

I really needed to hear this, and I know that the Lord sent me here. You were talking about me. I want to come back to Christ so bad and want to feel I have purpose. Physically my body is a wreck and spiritual I'm empty. But I hear him calling me. I just don't know how to get back.
That's encouraging! Sorry to hear about how you feel Michael. Sometimes we can complicate things in our minds. It really is simple: God has provided the way through His Son. Faith in Him makes us right with God, completely. Our works do nothing. But if we trust in the death of Jesus on our behalf, as the only Hope we have, we are saved and can rejoice forevermore!
Practically, I hope you will continue seeking Him and His voice! He will speak. Consistency can help to keep us grounded where feelings may take us astray. But it isn't a matter of reaching Him (as I'm sure you know), we need to rest and depend on Him to reach us. He has those everlasting arms to help you!

Thanks, nicely done, and helpful at a time when much has been eaten up. Now, the restoration is beginning. Some lengthy wilderness time was necessary as well. That’s been made clear, all has been for a reason. Such is often the case when a big change is being made.
For anyone doing a 180° in life, hang on tight. It’s just a process of burning off everything that doesn’t belong, or I liken it to having been on a speed boat that’s going the wrong direction and turning it around to correct the course. If one turns quickly, crossing the boat over wake is all the more choppy, it can be a rough ride, especially right as the turnabout occurs. If one goes more slowly (and that is not always possible, nor is it always desirable) then there is still a wake of waves to cross over, but the waves are a bit more settled.
The crazier your life was, the choppier those waves of your past and its consequences might be...until you hit those smoother waters...and they will come. God never said he’d take away all the consequences from the life we led before walking with Him. He did say He would make a path. There’s always a way out if we follow Him, He clears the way, and it always goes better if we trust Him to drive the boat from here on out. I still may tug a little at the wheel, or try to slow or speed things now and then, but mostly I just stop yanking at the controls, so I won’t capsize my boat-again. We’re His children, we shouldn’t even be trying to drive, we’re supposed to sit and converse with Him, yes, but we are definitely not to think that we know how to get where we are going better than He does. The more we stop interfering with God’s hand on our lives, the smoother the ride. 😊💕
I love this message. While I was in seminary, I used to read his sermons, and aspire to be as good of a preacher as he was. Now, 20 years after seminary, this is helping me get closer to God after several dark years of addiction and not being able to hear his voice. Thank you for sharing these
