👋Welcome to Autism From The Inside!!!
If you're autistic or think you or someone you love might be on the autism spectrum, this channel is for you!
I'm Paul Micallef, and I discovered my own autism at age 30.
Yes, I know, I don't look autistic. That's exactly why I started this channel in the first place because if I didn't show you, you would never know.
Autism affects many (if not all!) aspects of our lives, so on this channel, I want to show you what Autism looks like in real people and give you some insight into what's happening for us on the inside. We'll break down myths and misconceptions, discuss how to embrace autism and live well, and share what it's like to be an autistic person.
Join me as I share what I've found along my journey, so you don't have to learn it the hard way.
Make sure to subscribe so you won’t miss my new video every Friday and some bonus content thrown in mid-week too.

Couldn't agree more, he is very articulate. From a standpoint of difference in intelligence, mental position and therefor insight, but not less insight, not less intelligence the devaluation is annoying and more hurtful than misunderstanding, way of thinking is core identity.

I think another word that comes to mind is privilege. The non autistic never need to adjust, they've set the "rules" and have the privilege to live as they see fit. Us autistic people are expected to conform and that burden is placed on us by the privileged

us vs privileged is a false dichotomy. even the neurotypical have challenges. we're all different, every aspect is a spectrum, we all have our own dramas and tragedies. no need to seek a "they" to be against. complaining about others does literally nothing. you can't change other people but do have the faculties to play the hand you've been dealt.

I completely agree. This victim narrative is disgusting and absolutely despicable.@@anaveragehuman2937

Australia is the avant-garde on ASD. Tony's workshops for couples are great.

Ironic that you get offended by pronouns meanwhile we're living with a brain type where we're forced into living a way the majority deems "appropriate" or "normal". But if leaving makes this less toxic for everyone, please get lost.

There is literally a massively higher rate of trans people in the autistic community than average, so making a channel about autism safe for trans people and communicating that effectively absolutely needs to be a priority to do justice to our community (and I say that as cis autist). So if you cannot tolerate a space that provides that... you should ideally work on your biases since you are cutting your nose to spite your face, or if you don't have that strength of character you should indeed leave, to make it safe.
