Yep, I read somewhere that cuz of how the human brain works, purposefully hurting yourself would hurt less than accidentally doing it, I forgot where I got it from tho and I can be completely wrong so yeah, take this with a grain of salt.

I think you should have used carpet to lay them on because carpet keeps them at weird angles, with points and corners up. Finding a lego on carpet is way worse than on a flat surface!
That makes perfect sense with all those points that it would rank number one!
Grouped Lego tend to spread the weight out more and be less painful. Just like a single nail is more painful then a nail bed. And I feel like that would skew the results.
Generally when you unexpectedly stand on a Lego it's heel first with all your body weight, it can be really damaging.
How many odd looks did you get emptying the lego wall?
The one that hurts the most is a mix of all of them because you automatically try to not step on them

I’ve actually never stepped on a Lego… at least not one that hurt
So I walk barefoot a lot on stone and gravel. Some of this would probably not be painful to me. However I trust your judgement. Though for some it may be basically a normal day.
