It was a terrific attraction in my book and I miss it too. So great when Disney added great theming even if it didn't create an instant financial return.
My early teen years were spent here. It was 2 blocks from home, and a great, safe hangout space. We (my BFF and I) knew many of the shop owners and crushed on the young guys working the fishing area. My favorite was that jungle-like strip next to the original tower with a stream running through it. Shady, cool, and like a fairy tale. Ah, memories! THANKS FOR THIS!
So glad you enjoyed this. I think all of us who were able to experience the old days at the hotel treasure those memories when Disney cared more about creating some beautiful themed environments for guests and visitors over monetizing every square foot of land for ultimate profit. We have lost to many amenities that were attractions in and of themselves that made a visit magical rather than another trip to the mall.
I loved walking around the grounds of the hotel, the water show they use to have and the waterfalls were so cool. There was a shop that they did glass figures in next to the waterfalls that is now gone to. I remember walking in the lobby and they use to have photographs of different people with Walt.
Love this sooooooo much!! Thank you for uploading! Do you have any more footage of the Disneyland Hotel? Even just walking through the shops or marina/water area?
This was a slice of heaven! Thank you! I miss this area so much! It was so beautiful!

I'll never understand why they got rid of this 😢
It seems every inch of Disney property must now produce profit and free lovely experiences no longer make the board of directors and investors happy.
LOVE!
Thanks!

There are some videos I'm working on that have more hotel views. Did you check this video out? ua-cam.com/video/UEoz4OPXarE/v-deo.html

Just personal stuff, wasn't that a VHS tape you could buy?
