The one time viper fully walls: instant loose
It's good to see one of the best in a situation I feel like i'm in nearly every other game. I'm like - WHERE IS THIS STONE FOR CASTLES COMING FROM!!
I think Viper could have won this if he only just placed his siege workshop in a good location and earlier. Putting it on the side like that made it so that he couldnt kill the enemies trebs in time. If he did this his castle would have been saved and he would have destroyed the enemy's castles. He would have also had the option to go cataphracts.
Definitely a close game! I also think the bombard cannons being a tiny bit better microed and positioned under your castle and you should have won. Also, pathing of bbc going downward and not shooting at trebs just because there is a house in the middle "blocking" (not) the path to get closer...
Vip appeared lazy early on in this game. Can tell he wasn't fully interested

Is walling up against byzantines worth it more than other civs , because byzantines tend to go for their cheaper trash units with dont have much braking power?
I wouldn’t necessarily say so. Byzantines suffer from a lack of power until imperial. Their threat level isn’t that high, so I wouldn’t say defense is a priority. Of course, it’s all situational. No advice on this game is worthy in all situations
It can be good to give up map control if they are going spear skirm in Feudal and just 3 TC boom when you get to castle. But they can still add siege to pressure you along with monks and cheap camels to kill any light cav you make. Light cav + monk to contest relics and keep map vision is probably the way to play.
Base trading with trash vs gold units is disastrous. Your trash can't kill any vills while their trash kills yours.
