    This recipe is easy peasy, super customizable, and just delightful with glitter. The glitter is a joke, but the recipe is fun!
    Project Soapway winners being announced tomorrow!
    Soap & Clay is a family owned business operating in Washington State, but started out online thanks to Mrs. Soap & Clay's kickass brother and his amazing web design skills. The business was started as a tribute to Mrs. Soap & Clay's grandmother, the OG maker in the family that cultivated everyone's love for the DIY life. The studio/retail shop opened in 2017 on 6th Ave in Tacoma, and immediately began teaching soap, bath bomb, lotion, and scrub classes to the makers and maker enthusiasts of the PNW. In 2019, the pottery studio opened as well, making the soap shop a busy place full of artistic energy every minute of the day.
    Mrs. Soap & Clay has been featured on Business Spotlight, New Day Northwest, and was awarded a coveted place on the South Sound's 40 under 40 list in 2019, an award given to the most influential business people under the age of 40 each year. She cried when she walked up to the podium to accept the award. A lot.
    Drawing from her chemistry background and her maker spirit, Mrs. Soap & Clay infuses her favorite things into her soapy designs and creates products that are fun to see, use, and learn to make. Stick around for this ride - she'll take you on a great one.

    Well I learnt a few things again. Never knew about coffee butter. Love Jojoba knowing its so rich in Vitamin E. Texture looks great, had to giggle about the glitter, what a cute idea. 🥰🥰 Mr S&C such a good sport, yeah takes a while to get glitter out of hair.

    Hello 👋 Mrs. My goodness I have so super missed you. I'm still here. I've been on quite an adventure. The fantastic News is, I'm no longer living At that horrible complex with the disaster of a bathroom. I'm At a much better area in a way better part of town and... Unfortunately I broke my Pinky baby toe and have had to move twice, once here, in a studio unit and then 2 weeks later into our current much larger unit and I'm really REALLY close to some amazing stuff to do. Moved, unpacked. Recover from the whole process and many, many doctor's appointment... I've been watching in the distance. Just didn't have time for anything. Heck, sadly, not even for my nails. I've still got so much to do and I'm going to work on being here more often. - because well, I miss the soapy things family... 💜🤗

    Have you ever used lanolin in your beard balms? My brother in law asked me to make him some similar to something he bought at a farmer’s market last year.

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  Рік тому +1

      I haven’t, but many Sudsers have experimented with it. It’s similar to the skin’s sebum, apparently, so there’s a benefit. I’d use it as a secondary “oil” as it is pretty soft in consistency.

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  Рік тому +1

      At the same percentage you would use for a lotion? I would say so. Something that is right next to the nose should probably be used in smaller amounts so it’s not too much for the end user.

    Oh good to know what you're using for the beard's. Hubbster doesn't have much, his needs to be very short and mostly around the jaw and chin. He's fussy about it and when I get My soap making goodness and supplies here I'll, hopefully 🤞 fingers crossed - be able to start mixing up some.. because mixing up soap is super awesome sauce thingy to do. This was great to see and Mr Soap is such a good sport. Maybe on his zoom meeting he'll start a trend 📉📈😅...

    Um yeah… I learned the hard way that my recipe isn’t hot-weather friendly. 😂 I used some 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean up the outside of the containers. They’re fine in my house though. So… I’m not sure I’ll be taking them next weekend to the event to sell. It was kind of a disaster. I did manage to sell a couple though. 😂 I wrapped them tightly in baggies.

    Wow, may I make a suggestion to everyone watching this video…. never heat your beard balm and melted down in the microwave or over direct heat. Your face and body will hate it in the long run. Cook over steam. You’ll thank me later.

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  4 місяці тому +1

      Interesting. What do you believe happens to fatty acids when they are directly heated? Because I know what the science says, so if you have vetted information that suggests ANY change in composition in a fast heat, I would love to see the studies.
