Thank very much. I just want to let you know that you forget to put EIN Number from IRS which is ganna be free. Which you need to do it after you get your LLC.
Things not mentioned: Microwave, now drivers prefer the 3 combos of microwave, air fry, conventional oven, mattress, inverter if you bought an older truck with no inbuilt inverter, GPS(Garmin or Mcnally), headphones, paper logbooks, Driver file mgmt, pre-purchase inspection for truck and trailers before buying, money set aside for maintenance and gas b4 you start earning money, tax accountant unless you are planning to fail, toll pass/ scale pass(optional), HVUT 2290 is not $120, expect to pay $450-$550 and DOT inspection for truck and trailer(depends where u bought your equipment)
I'm watching in 2024 and wanted to say Thank You for the good information and straightforward video! I am a company driver and looking to start my own trucking company one day! I am doing my research / homework right now trying to figure out what is involved and if I can make a living doing it!
You don't need that amount up front if you have decent credit you can put $15,000 down on a truck. You don't have to put that much down for insurance if you're going to lease on to a company also you don't have to get a trailer You can go power only. so really you're not looking no more about $26,000 out the gate.
@@80SBABYDRETV power is trucking lingo for only getting a tractor. The tractor is the power to pull the trailer so there are many companies out here who need people to move their trailers so you bring your tractor which is the power to move their trails and get paid for it
Power only for a newbie is a big no. You will only frustrate yourself with the different trailers and the conditions you'll encounter or be asked to move. Also adding trailer interchange to your insurance is like $6,000
Great Info, I just got approved for a non cdl box truck that cost 34k. I put 13,000 down. I purchased from Ryder. It has 238,000 miles, lift gate and ramp and side door. I applied for my authority about two years ago. Unfortunately back then I wasn't able to get a truck. Do you know if I was supposed to renew my UCR even if I wasn't operating?
Serious question: you think paying G Face to start up a trucking company would be recommended?? What’re your thoughts on that, or do you know someone who offers what he does?
Great video, thanks for all the information. The only thing I would suggest is maybe ordering your list from most expensive to least expensive and making a category called miscellaneous for all the little $12 to $50 purchases, if you're already spending $50 to $70k, those little $50 purchases don't need to be emphasized
Hi brother I have transport company in Dubai 20 year old company so i am interested to open a branch of my company in Canada kindly let me know how much capital amount required for this Thanks
HI, I applied for MC and DOT recently and I got them both, I am supposed to upload insurance to keep my MC active, now I have a contract but I have to run my trucks on a different MC and DOT and my partner is saying that we have to move trucks under their insurance if we are running on their MC, so how can I keep my MC and DOT active? is he correct? is there an alternative to keep my MC active?
i really don’t understand Insurance for Trucking, there many insurance , bobtail , NTL insurance , Cargo Insurance and Liability insurance , anyway .. can i do insurance without brokers or we must pay brokers ? for example i got NTL insurance just today and it cost me 803$ for 1 year , but i paid 1203$ because the broker company charge me 400$ extra for helping me with insurance , literally they charge me 50% of my insurance price just for their service , so the question is can i do insurance by myself or always need use brokers ?
Ntl insurance is when you use the vehicle for non work purposes Cargo covers what you are hauling for revenue - up to the covered amount You can contact insurance carriers on your own
My dad is an owner/op he holds the title to his truck. I've been a company driver for 10 years and am going to get my dad's truck. I'm trying to understand ownerop v company driving. I'm honestly scared of oo because there's so many regulations and what not. I'm terrible with paperwork

Agree...leverage is the key to generate and off set Biden IRS
What do you mean by "go power only" in regards to leasing a trailer?

How about if you’re renting a truck ? , I’m looking to do on my days off , so want to avoid buying a truck
You might as well not even do it the rental expenses and etc will be too overwhelming. You have to be all in.

How much money you need after all that to have... like fuel and maintenance. Emergency funds till you generate revenue..etc.

I don’t know much about the brother, but I’d say always do your due diligence on the person, and their case studies.
Is it possible to get a loan to buy a truck

Ntl insurance is when you use the vehicle for non work purposes
Cargo covers what you are hauling for revenue - up to the covered amount
You can contact insurance carriers on your own
Do you need a license to dispatch
Nope
Licensed broker would be more efficient. Broker will be the middle man between shipper and carrier

I want to be dispatched
