    Eric Tulsky is a gangster!!!!!

He let Pesce and Skjei walk and picked up 👻🐻 and Walker who are probably better and cheaper. I’ll have to check the contract numbers to see the money difference, but those were great moves.

Both replacements were SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper with almost identical stats. Ghosty was actually more lethal in OZ. Tulsky set this team up to be able to snag the next steal… I think he got it!

I met Eric Tulsky before the E. Staal retirement ceremony, such a great guy. Im glad he stepped up and is the GM for the CANES.

The laughs I needed before work. New subscriber. We have the Mad Scientist, but I loved the prisonyard stabbing analogy. I think trade was good for both teams.

I’m happy we have a GM who wants to win the damn cup and is willing to make the ballsy moves to do it

I'm old enough to remember when Jarmo traded Jones to Chicago and the collective hockey world thought he was some mastermind.. now he has no job. When Tulsky builds a Cup winner, I'll give him his props. Until then, he's just a GM who took advantage of someone being dumb.

the same Jarmo who signed Gudbranson to 4x4? he was overrated af

@BigVuVu this stuff happens all the time in the media. That whole summer was all about how smart Jarmo was. Remember how many people loved Treliving when he got Huberdeau and Weeger for Tkachuk? "Summer of Brad" they all jump the gun trying to be first to call someone amazing. Rarely does it actually work out.

@@jasonprice9823 I mean Tulsky may be overrated too in the future. If Moose leaves he will be hated. And with cap space next season he may sign some players to bad contracts. Time will tell
Also I don't like that he didn't re-sign Stef Noesen - he's the only guy I truly miss

Rantenan is a big deal, but 5 years down the line people are also going to say "How can Carolina let Necas go?"
Then they'll look at Rantenan and understand

Necas just didn’t fit with the canes system. He’d been there for 6 years or something and it just never looked great, until the start of this year.

@@chowe37 He fizzled out. Started out hot. The main issue with Necas is that he is terrible come playoff time.

Don't get me wrong I like Necas but he dances with the puck to much.

Players that move and pass like Necas will look like a big ball of nothing in a team without scoring forwards that shoot the backboards more than the net.
Would have much rather let Jarvis go than Necas in order to give Rantanen a playmaker.

I mean the dude was playing with Kotkaniemi. You expect him to put up points with that?

  • @ChrisHynes-jo2zy

People who are so in love with Rantanen should watch how much he floats defensively and takes bad penalties - and then ask if that guys worth $13-$14M ..
Which I get he put up a lot of points with MacKinnon and Makar - but his point production will 100% go down in Carolina …

Rod doesn’t play his top lines enough. Second round exit as usual. (BTW, I’m a massive Canes fan). We’ve had plenty of talent that always starts out hot before the new year and fizzles out when it counts
