I'm old now and it was back in the 60s my gran in Byker used to take me to South Shields, so forgive me when I say this. It would be less than half the time to get the bus to central station and go to South Shields from there. Talk about the long way round?

Get on the Metro in the opposite direction at Byker & change at the Monument.
Funnily enough, Byker was where my gran used to live. Crawford Terrace. You could get the No 2 bus to Central station less than a 100 yards from the house. I don't know where that bus goes now, but I do remember it used to carry on all the way round to Jesmond Dene.
My Father was born in South Shields, he and my Mom moved here to Canada in 1962. Dad passed away in 2018. Mom still around, now 85. Dads older brother, my Uncle, just passed yesterday in Australia. RIP Uncle William "Bill" Nichols and my Dad Alan Nichols both Geordies through and through.
That sounds like a great idea! I’ll aim to include captions for all location locations in the next video, or I’ll see if it’s possible to add them to this one.” Thanks for commenting
It’s a simple thing to look at but also very enjoyable, I feel I’ve had a nice trip. Thank you for recording it. Have a good day.xx P.S. the graffiti vandals need locking up.

Its nice to see the roof at Tynemouth still exists and hasn't been decimated.
It's really beautiful to see that the roof at Tynemouth is still intact and hasn't been decimated.
I think it's a listed building.
Great video, very clear. Thanks.

Have you got the bit between Manors and the viaduct somewhere else? It was relaxing, by the way.
I'm sorry I haven't, but I'll make sure to capture it next time. Glad to hear you found it relaxing!
This video gave me strong English vibe despite being Indian
