The best part of going to the movies is feeling like you're still in it when you leave the theater afterwards.
Yeah, till you leave and you instantly get flashbanged
Then slowly fading back into reality
Agreed
Except for the Silent Hill Franchise...
No I hate that feeling
"Nothing is more awkward than when the movie cracks a joke and the whole theater is silent".
I felt this with my soul.
Yep
It's more awkward when you crack a joke in irl.
Nah it even worse when you are the only one laughing
@@biscoot4251 I would say the same but... When its just someone else laughing (I never laugh at the apparently funny jokes, the not-so-good ones don't even register until you hear 1 person laughing and the whole room is just trying not to look)
it’s like telepathic second hand embarrassment
13:27
I was expecting it to actually generate a plot, but this was better XD.
9:42 You showing me a clip of smosh really brings back memories. I thank you for that.
I’m really happy this isn’t an April fools vid. In a day of tricks, we get a genuinely good video
Kinda is
Ya know when he said animation is a genre
Same, most other new videos are "haha funny" or "You got pranked"
@@dachel683 i mean fair
Oh it's April!
I didn't know lol
The April's Fools joke here is the fact that there's no joke and it's just a normal video.
I bet Joseppi could create a movie that would will all the awards.
yeah agreed, a movie made by Joeseppi definitely would all the awards
and i will watch it
true, it's gonna be the movie of all time!
Yeah but will it would all the awards?
True
Joeseppi actually loving animation and describing the appeal perfectly is amazing. It truly made my day. This video was incredibly heartfelt and just too good. Thank you for making this!
8:23 That legit describes me perfectly when I am at the movie theater.
Favourite part of going to the movies is that in-depth discussion you have about it with everyone else you watched it with on the way home.
Can't relate I don't have any friends lmao
Agree
As a movie, I can confirm this is incredibly accurate.
@@musucks emoji movie
@@musucks the one with the rock in it
@Stoners INC. I think it was one of the movies of all time
🤓
As incredibly accurate, I can confirm this is a movie.
The bit at the end was legitimately the most entertaining add ever.
14:50 I like Igor to be honest
I love creators who even make sponsored segments entertaining to watch, great vid as usual.
As an indie animator, I'm *SO GLAD* that you made animation a separate genre in this video. Animation sometimes isn't appreciated enough in these times and are just thrown to the side as "for kids." But when I saw you make animation a separate genre in this video, I was so glad that animation finally got represented.
*CLARIFICATION* What I mean by animation not being appreciated enough, I'm talking about companies like Disney or Netflix, not people. Sorry for the misconception. Also yes, I do know that animation is a medium.
But it isn't a genre though. You can't just lump all animated movies/shows together; It's closer to an entirely different medium of art.
@@linkfreemantheplumber2948 don't worry it's satire, he said it in a comment
Look to Asia and one Piece. It is a HUUGE deal over there
@@linkfreemantheplumber2948 I know that it's a medium.
"in this time"?
I thought people nowadays is more aware animations can be targeted toward adults compared to people of the past.
Joeseppi is the only guy who manages to make a sponsor so entertaining that I watch it until the end.
Y E S
the end of the video hit me deep in my heart and brought back so many memories then he just slaps us with the goofiest raycon sponsor ad 💀💀💀
i love how it went from a really heart touching message at the end to joe buying a movie ticket in a goofy way
Joeseppi never disappoints

Very original comment

My honest reaction the that information:
These types of comments disappoint everyone
5:37 One of us! One of us! ONE OF US!
I grew up on mostly animated movies as well, and I've never been the biggest fan of live action movies. There's definitely good ones, but I've always gravitated to animation more than anything else.
I died inside a little bit when he called animation a genre but he made it up with that speech about how beautiful animation can be
You died and then revived? Nice.
I think he did that because he wanted to make an excuse to talk about animation
@@pvzgamer6029 probably
Eh, idk he was still talking about it in terms of kids movies exclusively, no mention of the variety of stories it can tell :/
Little correction: animation is not a genre! It's a medium of art all in itself!
A lot of people happen to make this mistake, but animation and live-action movies are distinct things with their own sub-categories and genres, despite both being cinema!
Happy someone else commented this and i'm not alone
EXACTLY

‘The carpets, are just the right amount of sticky’ -Joeseppi 2023
If Joeseppi were a horror protagonist, I can picture him saying, "He's standing right behind me, isn't he?" and then pulling out a baseball bat from his pants to take down the antagonist
The best twist ending ever
That is the most specific yet accurate thing I have heard in a long time.
But just before striking the antagonist, he realises its actually his evil twin brother. He then slowly lowers the bat and says "this... This isnt you..." and then his evil twin breaks down in tears and reveals that he was only bad because he was bullied for being different. Joseppi would then tell his evil twin that being different is what makes us human and they would live happily ever after
no a tennis bad

3:23 I was waiting for you to mention John Wick. Thank you.

I remember in an art photography and film class I asked if we were going to cover animation. My professor laughed at me. It sucks that animation still has a terrible stigma about being childish when at its core animation is just a beautiful combination of all three genres…
There are plenty of animations not for kids so I don't get why people think animations are for kids.
8:00 I've been laughing for six minutes at this
8:01 i hate that this made me chuckle.
Same bro 💀
I'm not...

The editing in joeseppis videos is outstanding, keep up the good work
"Nothing is more awkward than when the movie cracks a joke and the whole theater is silent". we always used to watch the horrible histories movie in history class and they would crack a joke and the only person you would hear laughing would be the teacher going "hahahahuhhuhh*sigh**loses the will*

12:43 horror movies are good when you are actually feel a bit of paranoia or they just have a good idea
I had an assumption there might be a Joeseppi video on the 1st of April, even during the watching you never disappoint dude
“Animation is not a genere,it’s cinema”- Guillermo del Toro
If we need to record any of the internet for future historians, this man's nutshells are that. Theu will gain an exact understanding of 21st century humanity.
I like to Imagine if Joeseppi was a horror protagonist, he would say "he is standing right behind me, isnt he", pull out a baseball bat from pants and dominate the antagonist
15:10 because that what (most) animation is
I think Fantasy/Sci-Fi and Animation are NOT genres on their own - they're settings, a frame for the picture which is made up by the plot. After all you can have Fantasy-Action, a Sci-Fi-Comedy, or an animated Romance, but all the things that define them are merely there to give the viewer a rough idea of what to expect from the world the movie takes place in, not from the movie itself. These "genres" can't stand on their own (they'd be nothing more than a documentary without the other genres) and therefor shouldn't count as genres.
I also liked that he said that horror movie bored him - I can totally relate. I used to call them "bad comedies".
Also, he showed it only for 1 second or so, but the Spongebob movies are the best comedies that I know.
0:26 In this scene we see 2 callbacks, hookwinked (callback to his hoodwinked video) and gamer (callback to his gamer video)
Nothing hurt more than hearing joseppi call animation a genre
What would you call it? An art style?
Respectfully, what would you consider live-action?

Joeseppi is a well-versed movie enthusiast, and this video, along with his review on the cinematic masterpiece, Hoodwinked, shows his articulate appreciation in cinema.
Right as you said it at 8:36 i laughed because of it, and thats really fucking ironic
2:22 Animation is not a genre, it's an art medium. When animation is treated like a genre, you get movies like Trolls being in the same category as Sausage Party, or Finding Nemo in the same category as Dead Space: Downfall.
Did you know that in UA-cam Shorts videos be like:
"Did you know that in "Movies in a Nutshell", when kid Joeseppi walks into the cinema, you can actually see the poster for "Hoodwinked" (2005), this is of course, a reference to the fact that in one of Joeseppi's other videos, Joeseppi actually reviewed "Hoodwinked"🤓"
“But why not put this energy into a job or something?” a line needed to be said to the majority of Twitter users.
16:47 Who is this man and why is he lip syncing to a joeseppi sponsorship?!??!!
The problem I have is that I eat almost the entire box of popcorn during the 8 million ads.
cant forget the people who arrive 10 minutes late to the movie, ask you to move up 3 times and flash their phone light in your eyes for 5 minutes straight
Man can make a 20 minute nutshell video about air and I will still be entertained to watch it on and off for the rest of my life.

14:30 bro took the words out of my mouth
Going to the movies always felt kind of magical to me. I never really went much but when I did it was great.
No way you called Animation a genre 🗿
You got it easy with Scream scaring you out of watching horror movies. I had the same experience, but for me it was Rec (the original Spanish version) when the old woman suddenly bites the neck of one of the officers. I was taking peaks at it while playing WoW as my dad and his gf was watching it and after that scene I remember just sweating and trying to avoid looking at the TV (it also helped that I didn't know Spanish so I had no clue what anyone was saying after that).
After that I had nightmares for months and a big fear of zombies for years. It also didn't help that around the same time I randomly caught the beginning of Shaun of the Dead airing on TV and oh boy. I'm fine watching Shaun of the Dead now, but kid me immediately switched it off when Shaun and Ed were dealing with Mary.
