    Aha, handy tip on the manipulator. I encountered the transforms option just recently when fiddling with a hat too!

      It’s saved with the scene file, or if you’d like to store a separate version of just the hat you can use File - Save As - Support Asset - Figure/Prop Asset. You can also use the little plus icon in the Content Library tab.

    Daz studio 4.20 seems to be missing that particular menu. The MISC one...

    • @WPguru
      @WPguru  2 роки тому +1

      It'll depend on the type of prop you're using. Only fully rigged items have a "fit to" option and the misc section.

  • @mekia02
    @mekia02 Рік тому

    I have a hat that needs this, it looks like it is rigged, and it has the MISC, but there is no Fit to Mode under MISC, only Fit To. Is there something that I missed?

    • @WPguru
      @WPguru  Рік тому

      I've never seen that before, all rigged items I've come across have so far had the two options under Misc - Fit To Mode, regardless if they're follower items or just plain rigged objects. It's possible that creators have a way to remove one option, but I've not come across that either.

    Jey is there anyway to fix smart props that are rotated the wrong way on the xyz axis i have a sword product called dueling swords that is completely misaligned any advice would be appreciated

    • @WPguru
      @WPguru  3 роки тому

      Smart Props should move into the correct positions by default, but if they don't, you can manually move them where they need to be. You'll need the Universal Manipulator tool and a lot of patience. I suggest positioning your object in the A-Pose unparented, then parent it to the character's appropriate node and save it as a new Smart Prop. I've explained how to do this here: ua-cam.com/video/Mfd7fIWUsOE/v-deo.html

    I always hold my breath when I wanna unparent an object like a shoe and it goes flying across xyz infinity 😭

    Excuse me for the off-topic question, but I've seen you use a plane to cut an object, but it was not the main purpose of the video, rather some sidenote, so I can't find it anymore, and as per usual, google is useless. How do you do that again?

    • @WPguru
      @WPguru  3 роки тому

      Could it be the Iray Section Node, or the Iray Matte?

    • @dominic.h.3363
      @dominic.h.3363 3 роки тому

      @@WPguru Thank you for your response! I think it was the Iray Matte I've been remembering, but it's not working like I hoped it would. The problem is that both the section node and matte hide everything behind the plane. I have a section of wall that is too long which I need to cut short right beside a window, but in a way that I can still render objects outside the window. I basically need to erase the part that's poking out.

      @@dominic.h.3363 Thank you SO MUCH for becoming a Patreon supporter 😍 Drop me a screenshot in Discord of the scene you have, I'm sure we can come up with a way to cut off the wall section.

      @@WPguru It's the least I can do to show my appreciation for your diligence. I'm very new to all of this and everything I know, I know from your videos. :)
      I joined discord, the screenshot will take a bit of time, my PC is not very recent and I have a render in progress.
