Great video! Lately I’ve been struggling with finding a purpose and career interest since my interests change so much, but what i found was the one thing that hasn’t changed is my interest in sports. I have a somewhat small background in video production so im leaning towards sports broadcasting at the moment. However sometimes I feel like i lack some of the skills and I undersell my potential. I am set to graduate with a history degree this year and i sometimes wish i would have chosen a different degree like marketing or communications. I also dont know how to make traveling for internships work out if i was to land one. Overall though this video helped me a lot in regard to seeing what skills are needed.

This video was amazing from beginning to end, I initially found this video because I looked up "How can I get into the sports industry" and I am so happy I did. I feel this video just showed me all the techniques I should start working on now in order to pursue my dream of one day working in the NFL. Like the video was discussing, I am still quite unsure where I would fit into the NFL world but I am quite certain it is where I belong because I love it. I am a second year marketing major at the University of Central Florida and feel that having a marketing degree would be a great way to get me in the door. I will definitely be using your website to job search in the future after my degree, but until then I will start working on common skills that the types of job I want require in order to be a stand out applicant. You really opened my eyes to the possibilities that could be to come as lond as I work hard and strive for them, and for that I thank you.

So glad I came across this. My jaw dropped when I listened to your initial career path. I studied biology and kinesiology at Penn State, and now I’m in my final year of physical therapy school. I don’t regret learning what I’ve learned, but I regret going through college just “checking off the boxes” like you said, and not really finding out what I WANT to do. I’m now at a point where I’m learning that I can’t really see myself working in PT for a lifetime career, which is why I’m on this page now. Hopefully when the time is right, I have the tips and knowledge to transition into the field I really want to be in. Thank you!

Hello Brian! I just saw this video and just got the chance to hear about your amazing channel now. This has truly helped and motivated me a lot.
I am currently a junior at university and I am looking for an internship in sports. However, I live in Europe. And it seems to me that at times there are more internship opportunities in the field in the US than in Europe.
So I was wondering if you have any tips or any general advice for this internship process in Europe.

I want to be at every game having fun just like normal, but I want to get a career out of it. Nothing make me more happy to go to hockey games and have that as a job. Skills that line up with industry/job demands are most important. A specific degree can help toward that goal, but it isn't the only way. Sports connected internships really help if you go the general degree route, i.e. having something sports related on your resume

My daughter will be a sophomore in high school in a couple of months, is adept at math, and would like to apply it in a career in sports (somehow). Would you apply the same concepts in the this video to the high-school level? I have a bachelors degree and exercise science but I’m interested in the business side of sports. I have yet to get a job within the sports industry. I had a division two college football internship but that’s about it. I’ve been applying to jobs for recreation coordinator recreation and fitness coordinator. An operations manager for club gyms and recreations. But I have not received one interview so far. I’m not sure what to do at this point. I watch the video and I’m still a little confused on what I should do. From Philadelphia Pennsylvania. And I know that there’s not many sports business jobs available in general which sucks but I still kind of want to be in the sports industry especially as a leadership role.

On the business side of things since your background is more in the fitness/training area, it may be worthwhile to consider pursuing an MBA with a focus in the sports area.
