Lass managed to accomplish in a week what Freya and Lebkuchen had failed to achieve for more than a decade - completely steal Elise's heart... then tear it into a hundred pieces...😢😢😢
Rozenmarine is my favorite love interest. followed closely by lebkuchen. all of her endings are beautiful in their own right. one is happy and cute, the other is very sad and heartwrenching. and there's the FoRbIdDeN LaSt OnE.
She's the most tragic one for sure... Spent her whole life as a beggar searching for her soulmate, finally meeting Elise almost too late. Enjoyed what was probably the happiest week of her short, miserable life... then everything ended in death and despair 😢😢😢
Yeah. And not only that, but that she was raised by a grandmother that told her she had to walk down a fated path, who made her think positively of the devil, which only set her up to be manipulated by the devil to convince the one she loved (who she lived her entire life chasing) to gather each testament and seal the deal with the devil. Her entire life was set up just for the devil to take her or her love’s soul.
@@tiffy717no wonder why the Moira ending is canon since Freya and Lebkuchen are the respected members of Kieferberg Village and Rozenmarine is the only one who was manipulated by Ozzy to fulfill Elise's wish.
Rozenmarine is the most tragic love interest out of the three and the more i look at her good ending, it felt more like good ending for her rather than Elise as now she is no longer just a pawn for her (not saying elise didn't love her) to her gain her supposed 'happy ending' and can live a life free of the said fated path of hers since in the end it never came to fuition. I wish she was more utilised in the story rather than just being there only for dates, giving lore or in murim's section (she wasn't really there, it was actually walpurga) it would have been cool seeing her play a more powerful role, even an antagonistic role to an extent would have been cool.
@@roadlj nah not really, I meant more of a like well intentioned antagonist, like she tries help to help Elise but in a very messed up way, like doing things to help her get the 3 gifts but risks both Elise and rozenmarine’s safety.
@roadlj no, that's not playing a villain role. Elise caused her death prematurely because of her own selfish desires blinding her. Rozenmarine was somewhat delusional and was AWARE of what would happened, but prioritized elise's happiness, even if feigned over her own. It's terribly tragic. I think the only ending where she's a villain is the one where SHES being selfish and decides to co join herself with elise into a tree.
It’s so sad that the Strange Boy tricks Rozenmarine to her death and arranged her as the sacrifice in the canonical ending. It is also heavily implied Rozenmarine was literally born into the world to be that sacrifice and she just…accepts it. The fact she is the only love interest to have an insert song makes it even more tragic. The parallels between Elise and Rozenmarine are even more so - both are witches born from a demon to be harvested for their souls and be added to his collection, adopted by an elderly woman (whom presumably both made deals with the demon for selfish gain), and then lured by a possessed goat to be given up for slaughter. Then Elise suffers from an inescapable fate as well - being forced to marry a man she doesn’t even love when she is a lesbian and being plagued by the demon to give herself up to that man so he can take away Goldia.
@@liddel137 Elise was conceived in a witch’s forest by the Strange Boy to fulfill Granny’s wish of having her own child. Because of this both the Strange Boy and the Old Hag (St. Walpurga) claim Elise as her progeny, with the SB even going as far to as chide the Old Hag indirectly for claiming Elise was hers.
The secret ending where you get the skeleton key and get inside the church confirms that Eiise is indeed a witch and even worse she is not a human at all she is something spawned by Ozzy himself, and even more worse Father Hans knows absolutely everything and uses Elise to find either Walpurga or to find out who is Ozzy because he wants both of em dead, Lebkuchen knows too that's why she makes the pocket mirror for elise

I love rozenmarine although it seems like she isn't very popular in the fanbase compared to like, lebkuchen. She is weird and such a dork alright, (who tells their crush over and over again "It's fate we meet"?) but considering her tragic background I love how she learned to let go of her "destiny" and starts living her own life.
@@WildHeart378Then why doesn't this game have a Japanese localization like Undertale and Deltarune? Because even with the 90s anime aesthetic and Japanese voices, I don't think Japanese people understand English that much so having Japanese text (not just voices) would have been better to appeal to the Japanese audience.
@@maila319because having a couple of songs and voice acting translated to Japanese is not the same as translating a full 8 hours game with all it's dialogues, possible endings and interfaces translated. It's much more expensive.
@@shad5017 Funny you say that when they have enough money to pay developers to make different artstyles (90s anime art, sprite art, crayon art and octopath traveler like art), animations, 10 different endings, variations in game overs, songs, voices and the UI designs that all together took years to make yet they for some reason don't have enough money just to translate everything in Japanese. This game deserves a full Japanese translation even if it's somehow more expensive than Japanese voice acting.
