Did you need to get r32 ball joints as well🤷🏼…to go with the r32 control arms?…or are the ball joint all the same?

You are the only person who noticed! I had to cut it out so the CV axle would stop rubbing on it.

It’s been like this for about 4 years and I can’t tell a difference. It drives and handles fine. I do know the rubbing noise stopped 😅👍🏽
So then TT control arms should also fit an MK4 Jetta is that correct? Please let me know my control arm bushings are trashed.

@@thecolemangarage Just wanted to double check because my TDI mechanic said I would need different struts and a steering rack? Why would he tell me that do you know? Also, what year of TT would you get the spindles from to put on the MK4?

did you use your gti spindles or converted to r32/tt spindles ? was curious if r32/tt lca and ball joints work with the gti spindle
I reused the factory GLI spindle, ball joint works. In the future I would like to upgrade to TT spindles though.

Did you use r32/tt ball joints or mk4 ones?
I used R32/TT ball joints. They are slightly different. Mk4 ball joints have loose bolts that go “upwards” into a V-shaped bracket.. R32 ball joints have threaded studs pressed in, with a locking nut on bottom.
Did you eliminated the from sway bar? Does it affect anything on the car and the aligning?
Yes front sway bar has been deleted. It was rubbing on my CV axle because the car is so low. I don’t notice any difference and it’s been like this for 5+ years 👍🏽
how much camber does it add by maxing it out on those arms
That is a good question, I will throw it on the alignment rack and see exactly. Follow for updates 👍🏽
