As someone who is going back to school after a very very long time (pre-internet times) this was extremely helpful and makes me feel less anxious about starting back up as a student. 🧡🧡🧡🧡thank you so much!!
Thank you so much it is very helpful ! Can you please show us online library pro-quest central search ? I am spending hours to search on advanced and basic search , the reason is I couldn’t find the right result .Your presentation is excellent and very understandable, very much appreciated you support !
Girl you are amazing I’m back in school and was searching how to make writing papers easier. I can’t spend hour upon hours to write 250 words lol. Thanks this was very, very effective
"Phrase Search" and other search technique is also very relevant for me. Though I used these techniques before your video make me more knowledgeable..Thank you..
Very good content. When are you planning to discuss academic databases such as PubMed, CINHAL, and COCHRANE LIBRARY, especially for graduate-level research? Thanks
I have been trying to use my university library for the last few years and never really understood how to effectively use the boolean operators. I seem to either get 10 articles that don't have what I need or 10,000 articles to sift through. Hopefully now, I can more effectively use the operators in google to cut some of the time needed to find my articles. That has been the worst part of online coursework--finding the sources to use in an efficient manner! Thanks!
Hey Chelsea, I really had no idea. Searching cold be that much easier. This will deficomenim handy come next "S." Actually, I will be doing a practicum as well. Are there any tips on doing a practicum and courses at the same time? Regards, Paul
A professor here. One issue students continue to have an issue with is using contant marketing as a scholarly reference. This is one of the biggest mistakes new students make.
Thank you for your feedback. That is a great thing to point out. I could see that being a real issue with how prevalent online marketing has become. Thank you!
loved the video chelsea, very helpful... I do have a question lol I major in translation... so every time I search a topic for example "Legal Language Translation" or "Aspects of modern translation" I get alot of results for... translation of the keywords such as google translate and other translation engines. how can I prevent google from translating the keywords thank you
Hi there! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. So, it's tough to answer this question fully since I'm not familiar with this area of study BUT this is what I suggest - I would use double quotations and the hyphen to refine your searches. For example, I would put the keywords you DO want in quotations so Google will find exact phrase matches and then I would put the keywords you DON'T in quotations as well with the hyphen in front of it. "aspects of modern translation" -"google translate" aspects of modern translation -"google translate" In your situation, I believe the most important part is to put the keywords you don't want in quotations with a hyphen in front of it because that's how Google will know to filter those searches out
