Colorfinger was known, at the time, as being more of a Cow-punk band, and that may be why this early pre-Everclear version of Twistinside features more of a drawl-and-twang vocal delivery from Art. Interesting sound... kinda like Uncle Tupelo-meets-Everclear. I like it.
I think you nailed it ! I was the drummer on this track , and I love Uncle Tupelo ! WE recorded this during the Loma Preita earthquake that messed the Bay Area up pretty bad 1989. I remember coming back to the studio where the drums were set up and a bunch on sheetrock had fallen on the drums . Scratch the drums up good !.
