Thank you very much Noel! One thing I’ve found very interesting on my travels, the geographic similarities across the North Atlantic. From Breton to the west coast of Ireland, all very similar and seemingly cut out much the same on the coast line. Here in Norway you will see similarities, just much higher mountain peaks.

Båtsfjord is a quiet place... Only 50 km from the Russian sea border and 130 km from nearest Russian military base, the 200th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Pechenga Order of Kutuzov Brigade, as the crow flies. Guarding the enormous Russian Navy Northern Fleet in Murmansk (the harbour with the highest number, once over 200, of nuclear submarines and doomsday ICBMs on the planet), just 90 kilometers east of Pechenga. ...But quiet, yes.

14:08 That Norwegin flag on the foremast is a curtesy to the country the ship has entered. The home country (national) flag is flown at the stern. As the other ship shows. What I find astonishing is that those Russian ships have very little rust on their hulls. Thats because these ships have no Russian crew on them. Most ships do things like: Register in Russia, contract out of Norway, cargo deliver to Finland, hire a Swedish Captain and have Filipino crew. It also makes sanctioning tougher.
From Juli 2024 - Norway introducing new restrictions for Russian fishing vessels at the three Norwegian ports partially exempt from the port ban. Currently, Norway has closed all its ports to Russian vessels, with the exception of Tromsø, Båtsfjord and Kirkenes ports, which are partially open to Russian fishing vessels. This meant that Russian fishing vessels could call at these three ports and be allowed to unload fish, change crew and resupply. In addition, the vessels had no restriction on how long they could stay at berth in the three ports.
