I love it!! I’ve tried online college program previously and didn’t like it, but I’m currently in course 7 and 8 and I plan on continuing until my name is printed on that Bachelors Degree and then Masters.

Thank you very much for this review. I've been looking at SNHU and am glad I got a chance to hear from a graduate that worked full-time while working the degree program. This is very reassuring. Oh, and congrats on both degrees!

This video is too underrated! You touched on all of the things that I was concerned about in the back of my mind and thank you so much for sharing the insecurities you originally had and then how it worked out for you. I just started my masters degree at SNHU and there does seem to be a stigma about online programs. But at the end of the day I’m so happy with my decision to choose SNHU, actually ecstatic. It’s half the cost of what my previous university’s tuition for a masters and the fact that I’m able to do it online is like a dream come true for me for multiple reasons. Also, my current job in government offers some tuition reimbursement and I was nervous they wouldn’t approve SNHU as an institution that they recognize, but they approved it! I’m no longer feeling insecure about it and my classes are NOT easy. Congrats on graduating and hope your new job is going well! It would be cool to see a follow up video.
So glad I found this video. Thanks so much for making it. I'm a fellow Jamaican applying for an snhu online bachelor program and this is the kind of confirmation I was looking for. Thanks so much!
Your video is very inspirational for young adults that are from the Caribbean. Your honesty about you experience was exactly what I needed to confirm to attend SNHU. May GOD continue to bless you and keep you!
Thank you for the tips and advice you are giving. I am actually about to start taking online classes at SNHU for Software Engineering. I was actually hesitant to do it but watching your videos gave me some courage and confidence to take the next step in continuing school.

@@vivvasbill I did for software development. but it is really great, worth it. Online classes are good especially when you are working full time it gives you options. Right now, I am finishing my 3rd course, I think you will like it.
@@kholoodalkohali3159 I think it’s going pretty well for me, I am currently just finishing up the general courses and onto the technical stuff for software development. Right now I’m on the process of doing double major but overall I really like the classes and experience from this school, it gave me more encouragement that I can actually finish.
I'm finishing up my BA in Psychology at SNHU in December '21, and will go right into their MS in Psychology in January '22. SNHU is a great school from what I've experienced so far, my advisor is great, professors are cool and you do have to work for this degree. The courses I've taken are all research heavy and writing based mostly. For $30K or so I'll earn both degrees, which shows the affordability of this school. Not a lot of schools offer a Forensic Psychology concentration, and not a lot of schools allow you to study psychopathy, serial murder and other more serious aspects of the field. Course selection is ample, and I'm ready to graduate in a few months. Thank you for this video. Everything was done online as well. I work in a group home as well, and I can say going to school looks good in this field. Update: I finished my Masters in Psychology 😅🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 #SNHU23
@@Newvibe85 Be prepared to read! Make sure everything is in line so you'll have the time to study and focus. I am in the same program as we speak and I'm about to graduate in December too. Time management is Vital!!!!!
I start my first course January 2nd for a Computer Science Degree here @ SNHU. I'm really nervous, especially after seeing my course plan coming up, but the orientation has really made me feel like a lot of help will be available if needed. I'm going to put everything I can into it, and go extremely hard at achieving this Bachelor's. I just know I have chosen an extremely tough Degree and can't help but doubt myself just a wee little. But, anyways, here's to 2023 and all of the success I pray it brings.
I just graduated with my AS in Computer Science from SNHU and continuing with my BS right now. The GenEd classes are pretty straight forward and the CS classes are hit or miss. They range from “why am I taking this” to “i might fail this class”. Don’t worry as long as you work hard all of the classes are worth it but some you will have to put in some extra work to get out of it what you want. I recommend going with the momentum and working hard no matter the level of the class and you will learn just fine
Awesome I am currently enrolled at SNHU have been for a year. I am about to graduate in December then I am moving on to my Masters in counseling. Glad to hear that it was a good experience. You are right when you say you have to discipline yourself. Procrastination is a big issue for some who are doing online studies. My family is from Jamaica and I know many who chose this school. To anyone who is thinking about attending this school give it a try you won't regret it.
I'm doing my M.A. in English & Creative Writing right now at SNHU and it has made getting my master's in my late 30s worth it. I'm happy about my choice so far.
I’m starting class at the end of the month. The first school I picked was by far the worst school I could have found but I ended up going with snhu. I was still very skeptical after being accepted but this just gave me the extra excitement I needed. Ive watched a lot of videos where people could not do nothing with their degrees and I would hate to waste 4 years of my life actually trying after spending 4 years barely trying. So big ups and blessings to you, your continuing journey and your success.
@@ygbodybuilder3023 it's been working out for me. I've completed one year now so far. It is a lot of self reading, a lot of self teaching but it's all about how you use your time because it's actually not that hard. They break the assignments down week by week and honestly you can finish your weeks assignment in a day or two. It's fairly easy, easy assignments. My advisor is great and I really like my school checks, they come in handy.
Thank you for sharing your experience! I’m finishing up my bachelors degree next year and I’m thinking about applying to SNHU for my masters so this video was very helpful. And congrats on your degrees!

i doubt you still read comments on a video this old, but as a prospective student there, i appreciated this video. i also was interested in environmental work and got my AS in stem, but due to xyz had to work and ended up working in a pharmaceutical lab. i wish you would have spent more time discussing the actual coursework, workload, expectations, and the like instead of just "you have to be willing to teach yourself", but im glad you talked about your post-snhu degree job ventures. as a fellow medical worker (that also wanted to work in a different field xD) thank you for your efforts during covid additionally, i am also a member of the long beard club. keep on rocking it!
Congratulations on your Bachelor and Master achievements!! Your story and experience is helpful. Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts on SNHU. I am currently applying to continue my education.
I watched this video in December 2021 when I was trying to sort my after 9 years out of school. When you mentioned the offers coming in once you updated your resume, I got my stuff together to enroll. I’ll be walking the SNHU stage on 11/18 :)
Thanks so much for sharing this. I was initially accepted and making plans to study online with Texas Tech, but I found that their course schedules weren't going to mesh with my work schedule. SNHU has been appealing because of their self-paced schedule for all courses, but I've been scared about whether the degree would be worth anything. Hearing this success story helps to reassure the choice to study with SNHU, and I really appreciate you taking the time out to make this video.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and thoughts. I just got accepted to SNHU and have nervous because this is my first time attending college and I am in my 30s. Talking about your overall experience, time, and the education you received at SNHU has made me feel more confident about my choice of attending this school. I appreciate your time and hope you continue to share your life experiences.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I received my Bachelors in Administration at SNHU and it was a great experience. When I switched to Texas A&M MBA program it was a terrible experience. My wife noticed the stress and it was not good for a busy father working full time. I just went back to SNHU for my MBA and so glad I did. The SNHU program is difficult but so well done for flexibility on line with a busy home life. I especially appreciate I don’t have proctored exams that are scheduled.

Just finished my BA in Forensic Psych with a minor in Criminal Justice this last Oct, and will by starting my Masters in Child Developmental Psychology in April. I should also finish right around 5/ 5.5 years for both as well. Started in March of 2020, should graduate around July 2025. I loved your idea of doing fewer classes at the beginning and end, then doubling up more towards the middle. I think that it's an excellent idea to shave off some time overall, so we can get to doing what we really want - helping people! Your video was super encouraging regarding the job search too...the struggle is real! Bes of luck in future endeavors!
I'll be start May 1st for their AS in Accounting, then I will go back for the BS in Acounting.... and if I feel up to it after all of that, get MS in Accounting. Fingers crossed I have a good expierence!
im in my final term for my BA at SNHU. i was in your position where it was not my first choice and my first year was so easy. like too easy and I was beginning to doubt that a degree from there would be respected. I also had this fear that maybe in the future they would be equal to an online diploma mill like I've heard about Phoenix university. But I learned so much during my program and it definitely got much harder. I was unsure about their MA program but I'm thankful to have found your video!
Thank you so much for the video! I work full time and couldn't find a computer science program near me that I could justify attending. This helped reassure all my worries. Hope you're doing well and congrats on your degrees!
Thank you very much. Watching your video and reading all of the comments helped me decide to say yes to SNHU. I could have started tomorrow, however I decided to start at the end of August. I just received my AA in psychology and behavioral sciences (online at a community college in LA). I will also join the psychology program with a mental health concentration. Congrats to you and everyone here that will be graduating from the school.

I'm in my final 4 classes of my bachelors in business admin. I have to say I am a big fan of SNHU. I have friends who went to UNH who thought of SNHU was a diploma mill yet all my friends who graduated from SNHU landed considerable higher paying jobs. I would definitely recommend SNHU to anyone who works full time and needs flexibility.

Yes, you have to be very disciplined, in order to succeed at an online college or university. I am actually working on getting my addiction counseling license, while working on meeting the degree requirements as well. It is very hard, some nights, I wanted to quit. I had to pick myself back up, and keep going. Great video.

Good video. I'm 3/4 into my CS undegrad online and I can vouch for SNHU as well. I was apprehensive at the start as SNHU doesn't have the same name recognition as the other programs I was considering. I evaluated PSU and ASU online CS programs, but both of those were a lot more expensive (around $58k vs $22k for me as a transfer student), so I went with SNHU. So far the quality of education is good, it's the exact same material you get in other CS programs, BUT (this is warning) it's pretty much what you make of it. Quizzes and projects are generally a lot easier than in other institutions, so if you are the kind of person that does the bare minimum and need to be motivated by the difficulty of exams/projects to learn, then you probably won't get the same level of education other students will. If all you want is pass the class, you probably can but you definitely won't be as prepared as other CS graduates.
Thank you for sharing your experience! I am considering SNHU for my graduate degree and was curious about others experiences. This answers my questions.
I have the same issues with stress. Most recently discovered I get visual migrains without pain when I am super stress. Hoping that won't happen with doing classes and my job full time

What's the assignments like? I'm currently studying IT at Purdue Global and they are having us write discussion after discussion every week for every class. I'm more interesting in doing IT but I feel like I'm taking a writing major. I've worked in the industry before and from my experience no one reads past the second sentence of an email anyway. I really like your video. I am a certified nursing assistant in North Carolina and I actually stopped working as a CNA for a little while to have a break. I was working in a lockdown Covid unit. I was halfway finished through nursing school when everything shut down everything still really messed up. I’m supposed to be going back up in the spring of 2022 to finish my LPN. But now I’m thinking about doing healthcare management through Southern New Hampshire University. I have a bachelors degree in political science and English but it’s very hard to find a job in North Carolina with that type of degree. I also went ahead and got my med tech and Medaide license. I’ve worked in many long-term care facilities I love being a CNA but it’s really hard and I don’t for see myself making this little money I just want to find something that’s worth it.
I'm a in my 40 and a little behind, So I don't know enough. My daughter is in it and she told me they needed her bank info, birth certificate and more are they supposed to need that type of info ?
What is the snhu experiential class? They said it was 60 hours instead of a 150 hour internship. However if we are doing online classes how is that possible? I was looking at public community health then going into counseling
Thank you for this, I’m PA too! I’m planning on going to school for substance abuse counseling and hopefully get my masters later. (Most places here want you to have a masters) I learned the community college degrees wouldn’t do much for me. Penn state is way too pricey for me, also not many online schools had the degree I wanted. I was really scared that this degree wouldn’t be worth anything in PA. Im working as a clinical aide in a drug&alcohol rehab/mental health already. I’m excited to start…again thank you so much for this.

How is the addiction field treating you. I have so much interest in becoming a addiction counselor as well but even wanting to work in a facility in PA they want you to have a degree
compared to other universities have you been able to get the same job opportunities? taking classes with SNHU as my current employer is paying for it, but wanted to know if it was worth it. thought about just taking what I can at SNHU and transferring out because im scared of the "online" stigma
I had an interview with a HR person in July and told her I’m attending SNHU. I thought she would’ve caught on to my self teaching, but no. I felt it was jealousy and there were no black people in the HR. The education system is poor in Vegas on top of it. I just said to myself obviously I deserve better. I gotta leave Vegas if I want a great paying job. I’m pursuing 2 Bachelor degrees. I think I’m gonna go get my masters when I’m done with both. I’m doing 2 bachelor’s degrees because it’s about me protecting myself and the fact that Vegas went through a recession that kept me stuck in a job that’s caused me burnout. I wanna versatile. That recession was hell!!
This video was extremely helpful! I'm looking into getting a Masters in Public Health online from SNHU. Trying to decide between an MPH or a Masters in IO Psychology. Do you feel like the teachers were consistently available if/when you needed support? How was your experience with doing the in-person practicum? Are there specific courses that are demanding that you feel they should only be taken by themselves? I think I would start off with taking one course per term, but I would like to try 2 per term from time to time.
I would say courses that are statistic intensive. Do not take these with other classes especially on the classes that require a lot of course work reading research etc. Doing the in-person practicum is very good especially when you consider statistics. A lot of companies that will accept your practicum will require you to do a lot of statistical analysis. Maybe not very intensive. Hope this helps.
Did you have any issues with obtaining employment after getting your MPH from SNHU? I saw they’re an applicant for CEPH accreditation but the approval hasn’t gone through. I’m registered for my first term at SNHU, but I’m starting to have some reservations about it.
@@CrystalCoreen I didn't have any issues when getting employment. However because I don't have my CEPH I can't get an epidemiologist assistant job which to be honest I wouldn't want because biostatistics wasn't my strength and I wouldn't want to do a job where that is needed. I now wish u had done psychology because now I'm being trained as a family based therapist and I'm slightly behind.

Hello, I am happy that you had a wonderful experience with SNHU. Would you say that all their programs are comparable in quality? I have looked on multiple platforms and reviews and I am still getting mix feedback regarding the online program. Also, on your physical degrees does it state that it is online because I am unclear why employers did not seek you out during your job hunting process even with your masters. I am looking at pursuing a masters in marketing. Thank you!
The degree does not show that it was online. I do find some employers like that I have autonomy. As for degrees, I would say think about the activities and skills you need to learn and consider if you'd be able to gain these skills online or in person for example graphic design. I would say do not take this degree online!
A’s & B’s are very hard to maintain.... I’m still an undergrad at SNHU currently in my 3rd term 😩 And I’m currently in the process of changing my major as we speak. I’m glad I’m making this decision early rather than going deep into my current major (CS) just to pursue a degree in something I’m REALLY passionate about! Right now it’s either Digital photography or Graphic Design I’m going to change over too!
Are you sure you want to venture in those majors online? My personal advice is stuff like that is better in a classroom. You'll need the networking and in-person experience to be successful in future careers in such fields.
@@bettygood100 ugh.... decisions, decisions! You’re right about the in-person teaching. It would be way much better to get courses down pack while you’re in the presence of instructors rather than waiting for an email response! But I’m still looking for more majors. As of right now those are the two majors that’s sticking with me! And yes! I wouldn’t mind traveling to New Hampshire to get the full SNHU experience rather than being an online student ☺️ thanks for the suggestion! Congratulations on your completions of your degrees. Well done 🧡
I start my program in May with SNHU online. This video has helped me get over the overwhelming feeling. Congratulations on your 2 degrees and you have def inspired me to pull my big girl panties on at 36 yrs old with 3 kids. 2 teens in high school and 1 elementary kid at home and working a full time job will def help me push myself to getting that degree and wanting a better life for my babies. U made me believe that It's never too late to have a career
@@bettygood100 I'm trying to start soon and wanted to know is it a great choice for AP jobs or then some. Definitely the price is 3x more than my university, but I need something really flexible.
Take love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 I have decided to take admission form SNHU for Ms Business Analytics program. As a international student what benefits I will take from SNHU ? What will be my campus experience ? I am looking for someone who can share his or her experience over the period.
I heard mix reviews of this school and am very interested in getting my bachelor's degree for computer science I heard SNHU offers a good program I'm mainly concerned with being able to find a job after the degree
Finding a job is fine, however, I never recommend certain programs mainly because I feel like you need a certain level of interaction to learn. I did academic degrees so I just needed to learn theories and practices.
I love it!! I’ve tried online college program previously and didn’t like it, but I’m currently in course 7 and 8 and I plan on continuing until my name is printed on that Bachelors Degree and then Masters.

How much longer do you have

Hey bud! Have you started? If so, how’s it been going? Be well!

Thanks so much for sharing this. I was initially accepted and making plans to study online with Texas Tech, but I found that their course schedules weren't going to mesh with my work schedule.

I'm starting my path in computer science with snhu next month and I'm glad to know that it's worth it.
I'm going to enroll because (1) my job pays 100% (2) he Jamaican so he kinfolk (3) living my area (4) and live same lifestyle (5) has the same mind set... love this man , gave me strength to go back..cause I've just been sitting on credits
What is his name? My degree is missing trying to get it back Abraham is my name
Admission counselor was very insightful and attentive. I'm going for a BS Health Science Degree :)
Im attending right now at snhu online and I like the experience. I will say it can get frustrating at times but overall the staff is great and helpful. I cant say the same for every professor I've had but I've managed so far. I got on the honor roll and the president's list and was invited to a leadership group. So far I'm only 5 terms in on my bachelor's degree in finance and i plan on going for my masters in finance down the line. Anyone have any tips or advice for me id gladly appreciate it. For instance, i had hopes of making friends and networking but i haven't been able to find the time to explore the social forums they have there.
So helpful...thank you! I am currently deciding on three schools for psychology.

Yes, I attend SNHU. I love the school and its curriculum. You are right. It is NOT a degree mill by any means. You will WORK for that degree!
Super proud of you! I start this May!

Is SNHU any better? I'm getting it free through my employer.

You might want to go into healthcare management
Starting next month! BA in psychology. Wish me luck lol
Good luck. You'll be fine
I loved your video. I plan to go. I been accepted. My major is Human Services and family and children counseling
how is is going so far?
Does SNHU have proctored exams?
I’m excited to start…again thank you so much for this.

compared to other universities have you been able to get the same job opportunities? taking classes with SNHU as my current employer is paying for it, but wanted to know if it was worth it. thought about just taking what I can at SNHU and transferring out because im scared of the "online" stigma
It really depends on the degree you get
I had an interview with a HR person in July and told her I’m attending SNHU.
A B+ in biostatistics?! Dude, you slay!🎉
Just enrolled for my MBA for January 3🥂
Soooo helpful! Thank you for your insight! I really appreciate it!

I’m still an undergrad at SNHU currently in my 3rd term 😩
And I’m currently in the process of changing my major as we speak.
Well done 🧡
