An update: After posting this video, I learned you can actually take up to 4 classes per term depending on your GPA. With my 3.5+ GPA I was able to start taking 3 classes each term. During that time I added a second major as well. I ended up graduating with a 3.55 GPA & 2 majors in October of 2019. I planned on walking in May but the pandemic postponed graduation. Then I found out I was pregnant & decided I wouldn’t be walking, they mailed me my diploma instead. I also got a cap & gown so I could take professional pictures. I don’t have a job with my degrees yet, but that also has a lot to do with the fact that the pandemic has put a lot of companies in financial situations where they aren’t hiring new people. I’m keeping my current job as an ASM at a retail clothing store once baby comes & I’m hoping around this time next year, I’ll be able to start looking for something in my field, but that all depends on if this pandemic dies down. Glad y’all are appreciating this video. I hope you find it helpful.

I'm a current SNHU Online student in for a BS in IT. Been attending since 2014 and I finally graduate next year. Enrollment was easy from what I can remember and my advisers were great. I know that you posted this a year ago, but I just want to thank you so much for this video. I relate to you a lot. I have been looking into online college (specifically SNHU), because my husband is also in the military and it would be an easier option. I’m really nervous because I was never able to focus well in high school, but I think this will be a more effective way of learning after for me after watching your video! Very very helpful, thanks again.
I enjoy being a online student with the teachers that help me to learn, and the best way for the best SNHU I have a great way to learn, being able to learn from the OAC. I am a freshman in college in SHNU I am just happy.

Thank you for the useful tips. I will be starting at SNHU June 28th, and I welcome all the tips I can find. Also, this is my first time going back to school since graduating high school.
Thank you for sharing ur experience on SNHU online. I start my first course work in May. Pls continue to share info. Congrats on President’s list. thank you to your husband for serving.
You're welcome! I plan on sharing more information about my experiences as I continue to attend the school! Thank you and thank you, I will tell him you said that :)
Thank you so much for this! I am planning on starting over the June term. I really appreciate all of the info you shared. Best of luck with everything!
Awesome. I too am an online student pursuing an AS in Accounting and immediately after, will be transitioning over to the BS in Accounting program. So far my experience has been amazing. Just like any other university, some courses are more challenging than others, same with instructors, some are just better at teaching than others. The materials taught are relevant and current, you will definitely apply what you learn in the workforce. Thanks again for the video. Ultimately, like you mentioned, online education is not for everyone. If you are self-disciplined and self-motivated, nothing should stop you from achieving your goals.
I love hearing about other peoples stories with schooling and what they're going for! I'm still deciding if I want to get my masters through SNHU online once I finish my degree, or go to FIDM and get a whole new degree in Fashion Design, but that school doesn't offer online so I'd have to go to the campus which means I'd be separated from my husband. :/ I'm not sure how he'd feel about it, so I haven't talked to him about it, but FIDM has been a dream of mine since I was 13. But yes, I really don't think online schooling is for everyone. I've seen it with my own eyes, my friends try to start and just can't finish. It's a shame. :/
You can take up to 4 classes. I take 3 classes you have to have a GPA above a 3.5 and to take 4 classes all four teachers have to agree each term that they think it’s okay with their work load .
I start under the MSc in Project Management and Operations on January 30th, while I am working with the VBA (DofVA). Additionally, I am an Army combat veteran as I got awarded my retroactive induction (Post 9/11 GI BILL). I already have my AS in Business Administration from Santa Monica College. Furthermore, I also have my BS in Hospitality Management [concentration is Meetings & Events Management] from UNLV. Now, I am pursuing my Master's degree, but may wait two years after my Master's degree to pursue my DBA in Business Intelligence from Marymount University. Thanks for the heads up on SNHU. I am already enrolled for two classes per term and set to graduate in 2024 of October. By the way, I love the flag! 💯🙌🇺🇲
I agree that online school is much more convenient. I’m currently active duty and have three kids but I’m going to a different online school. I’m moving next month and I’m just not taking a course that month. I highly encourage anyone who is considering going to an online university to make sure the school has regional accreditation. Good luck
15:00 I am exactly feeling like that. I just want it to be over and the 2 week break is coming up. Working full time and doing these classes is draining. Even if it is online classes.
I just finished my AA in Liberal Arts at SNHU after going for 3 years majoring in Graphic Design. I am actually switching schools next spring for my Bachelor's degree because my preferred program is not available online at SNHU.
I've been going to SNHU for just 1 week. It's safe to say I'm gonna leave and go somewhere else. Here is why. I have come to find out that I like it when I am learning from a teacher. Here at SNHU you pretty much "Teach yourself". I say that because you literally just read parts of the textbook your teacher tells you to read. I spend a MINIMUM of 6-7 hours a day studying and trying to prepare for the end of Module quiz. There are 8 modules in each class. And you are basically required to study a shit ton of information beforehand just to do good on it. Now you don't need to go to that extreme, but I really want good grades, because I have a lot of hopes and aspirations for my future, but that's beside the point. For me I get really stressed when I have to blindly learn information from a textbook with no real guidance. At least that's what it feels like. The teacher literally tells you that you will have to look up videos on UA-cam when you are stuck. So that's basically all I do whenever I get to the stage of, "uhhhh HUH". Or you can message them under the Discussion tab, which takes up to 24 hours to get a response to just one question. So feels as far away from "hands-on" teaching as possible. Doesn't feel good to just study non-stop from 7 AM to 5 or 6PM every day. All so you can look at what you have left, and realize "Shit, I need to put at least 5 more 8 hour days to just finish this module, THEN you get straight into another Module and you have to put just as much effort to finish that. You study so long cuz you feel like you NEED to in order to stay on target and be prepared enough for the exams. (This is for Quantitative Analysis btw, so just one class) THIS IS JUST FOR ME, I'm trying really hard to get good grades. I never really tried in school up until now, so just trying to give it my all. This is just too much self guided teaching for me is all I'm saying. All in all, if you know that you don't like teachers actually talking to the class and teaching you. Don't go here, It can get pretty overwhelming (if you can't tell). Everyone learns differently as Jayden says, for me, I cant just read textbooks all day. Time for me to go somewhere else, Godspeed everyone.
@@Adrianaxo. I ended up going to a community college in person where I live. I just prefer there to be someone teaching me stuff. I know there are Online colleges that have zoom calls or specific times you are supposed to be there etc.. I just haven't found one either. Good luck on your search!
I’m about to graduate from SNHU in December 2022. My major is English Language and Literature with a minor in Creative Writing. While I do love SNHU, and even considered continuing with this school to get a master’s in English, I don’t think I’ll stick with SNHU once I graduate. What you say is absolutely correct. While I have extremely helpful instructors who give awesome feedback, the distance of online education has become very palpable for me. It would be far better to immerse myself in a classroom of likeminded individuals where our majors/lessons can be discussed and replies taking place in real time. For many people with technical degrees (like science, math, health care, etc., I’d imagine distance learning could become quite difficult. My major is extremely conceptual and theoretical, so distance learning doesn’t pose a huge issue; however, the distance certainly hasn’t made my college experience any easier. Like you, I spend upwards of eight hours a day doing school work (this includes all required reading, writing, and studying), only to complete one week and head directly into another. I’m burnt out. I’m relieved that I’m in my final two courses, but if I had, say, one more year to go… I don’t know that I’d be able to stick it out and complete my degree. TLDR: online college is a lot of work/you might be put in the position to teach yourself everything you must know. Very exhausting. Enter online school at your own risk. Lol.
First things first, tell your husband i said thank you for serving our country :) I'm actually starting Sports Management on February 28th and was really nervous. After watching your video i'm determined to achieve my goal and get my degrees.
Lets goo im doing Bachelor of Arts in Game Art and Development this was a good video of info thanks for this! online is a lifesaver for people with adhd and add! this works so well for our breed
Awesome video! I'd love to see more in-depth explanations of SNHU. I'm also a military spouse & just applied to SNHU to get my BS in Public Health & I'm super excited!
I am also a military spouse (vet) wanted to see if you had any updates on how things were going. I am looking into it but want to be sure that I don't mess over benefits if I should just do traditional schooling.
Enjoyed the video! Thanks for posting. How long would you say the discussion palers need to be? And how long are other papers that generally need to be done?
The only thing I don’t like is that they don’t partner with companies to help their students with jobs. There are only job opportunities at the school for students that live in NH.
Thank you for this video! I started the process of transferring to SNHU from another online school. While I do like the concept of my current school, the learning resources are out-of-date and the put a lot of emphasis on a high stakes exam to pass each course. I would like to know how are you tested at SNHU. Do you have to take proctored exams?
I see no one has replied to your comment. I’m in my last term at SNHU. There are no proctored exams. There are quizzes, though, depending on what your major is or what electives you are taking at the time. I’m an English Language and Literature major with a Creative Writing minor. This means that all of my finals and majority of my assignments are papers, not exams.
First I really appreciate this video it made alot of sense and gives me a clear idea of how the classes will be . From your personal experience, how much time did you spend a week for each individual class doing assignments, reading , and discussions for general ed classes ?
This school sounds just like how Rasmussen was. I got my BS in Business Management from there and most of it was that same CBE format you are describing. I was wondering if they have exams or quizzes that require you to be proctored? Some schools make you take them at centers or on webcams at specific times, but my work schedule does not support that. I was about to apply then I came across your video and thought I'd ask someone actually attending. Thanks, great vid!
Very insightful. I'm considering online courses at SNHU and videos like yours are so very appreciated. Thank you. Good luck to you and your husband. I'll start looking for a dayplanner. 😁
You said that your fun and colorful planner contributes to your motivation. Me, too! That's actually really important to make your study plan and note taking materials enjoyable. And, my middle school aged daughter's study notebooks are really bright with her highlighting and note taking.
Honestly as an Online SNHU student I would recommend the school to anyone looking for an online experience. Their management staff is great as long as you keep in contact, they work hard to make sure you try and pull through your education and the advisors are super nice! It literally feels like one of the best online environments. They really want their students to succeed academically. If I had any problems with it its mostly due to the financial side of things. I don't like the idea of having to pay so much money just for failing a course, which has happened to me a couple of times, as I feel it creates this pressure that doesn't need to be there. Especially if you're someone like me who's biggest struggle throughout my SNHU experience so far is trying to pull through paying balances which are usually a lot of money. This could be potentially a huge roadblock or pitfall for those who aren't the most finanically stable, especially if someone has no experience with a class or has a hard time learning compared to others.. Idk if SNHU will be my future to graduate because of the fear of failing another class would potentially spell "the end".. I don't know if the same applies to other online schools, but I assume it does? But I can say that I think anyone looking to have their future begin with SNHU will have a satisfying experience. I also agree I miss Blackboard as well, it had a better interface to me and was more fun to navigate. I don't hate brightspace, I just think the interface is bland. Don't take this as me going against the University, the pros far outweight the cons and they do care about student education. I just don't like the fact my degree could end simply for not paying a balance for a failed class with my current position in lacking money, which isn't as easy to get nowadays. Don't get me wrong the financial aid department itself isn't a problem, but rather the conditions itself.
Context Code try downloading chegg, its 20$ a month but i havent failed a course yet, got a 91 in accounting , never read the book lol chegg chegg chegg!
@@myeashaj9154 Yeah they are tuition loans. I still dislike it though since it's done nothing but trouble for me, though I do realize its from my own personal experience.
ok so I am looking into enrolling in snhu online schools but I am trying to figure out if I will have to attend and mandatory "blackboard" sessions? I have a job so I need to know if I need to schedule specific times to where I can sit down and attend those sessions. Im hoping you can shed some light on this for me. Thanks!

My girlfriend is doing her masters via SNHU online and absolutely loves it. For undergrad semesters are 8 weeks broken down into 2 classes. They weigh those classes more so you only need 42 credits for undergrad. They are also regionally accredited. I know it’s been 10 months but I hope this helps somewhat
Capella is for profit and snhu is non profit. They are both regionally accredited. I'm looking to get my ms in industrial organizational psychology but live in a rural area so I'm in the same boat researching what online schools are decent and which are crap.
Hello.. Me too have no support even from my parents so how will it be possible for me to buy books? I am gonna join the March online batch 2024 in MA psychology.
Yay! I'm starting my masters in psychology at snhu in October! I'm part of a few snhu Facebook groups and some stuff people post can be helpful so I recommend y'all join some!
chasey1978 That’s awesome!! I’m running a messenger group for people who have started or getting ready to start it’s all about our classes psych etc if you want to be added let me know!! Good luck!
I took foreign language classes online with a regular college because they offered it and they either do Skype to interview you or just make you record videos that you upload to them. I'm guessing that's how a public speaking class would work too.
I'm so glad I found your video! I started looking into SNHU because of the online option. And your video was super helpful! Thank you! Hopefully you can post an update soon!
Miss, if I start a term on Monday and writing assignment due on Thursday, is that mean I could submit my essay between Monday thru Thursday or just on Thursday? Thank you
Depends on the course level & who your professor is. Each term was different for me. Once I reached 400 level courses, that was when I was putting in 30+ hours a week.
Tyler Macro I am going through world campus Penn state and working full time. It’s absolutely doable. I take 2 classes per semester and work 50-60 hours a week. Usually depending on what is due that week I usually use Monday and Thursday for one course, Tuesday and Friday for the other course. I take Wednesday off. Then take Saturday and Sunday to complete any assignments I didn’t get to finish thought the week. It’s tough. It’s challenging but never did I ever feel like it was all just too much. And I have a very demanding job that requires me to be there frequently. But everything has worked out thus far. I will be graduating in May and even decided to go to graduate school.
I was taking 3 courses per term while double majoring & working 40+ hours a week. It wasn’t difficult as long as you keep your life planned out in a planner on what you need to do each day.
It’s a magnanimous video with great content. But I got recommendations to Stray in a conversation with my mom about him, how he makes legit bachelor’s degree too 🙄, and I needed one so I had to give it a try and that’s how I got my bachelor’s degree.
My previous degree is in transportation technology right now I’m going for BS in Business Communications, I don’t like bright space at all I feel that a lot of the grading process isn’t as informative as blackboard was. Bright space doesn’t feel like an online class it feels like it’s just grading.
@@JaydenRaelee Hey how is school going? how long left until you graduate? im thinking in attending there, I was a Junior when I dropped out of my University, not too late to come back.

How is it going?
Considering enlisting 🤷🏽♂️
Give us an update. How do you like it so far?
Thank you for the useful tips. I will be starting at SNHU June 28th, and I welcome all the tips I can find. Also, this is my first time going back to school since graduating high school.
How's it going?
Thank you for sharing ur experience on SNHU online. I start my first course work in May. Pls continue to share info. Congrats on President’s list. thank you to your husband for serving.
You're welcome! I plan on sharing more information about my experiences as I continue to attend the school! Thank you and thank you, I will tell him you said that :)
Is it expensive to study on SNHU?
Hi How is the examination process? If is an online class do you take the exams online or do you have to take them in a testing center? Thanks
My Mom gratitude from this college in 2014 and 2013 when I was in elementary school she did online courses keep it up I'm from New Hampshire
You can take up to 4 classes. I take 3 classes you have to have a GPA above a 3.5 and to take 4 classes all four teachers have to agree each term that they think it’s okay with their work load .
Thanks for letting us know!!!!
This is a great and very helpful video. My daughter just enrolled and we are so excited for her.
I started online study with snh u too and I love it so far.
I agree that online school is much more convenient. I’m currently active duty and have three kids but I’m going to a different online school. I’m moving next month and I’m just not taking a course that month. I highly encourage anyone who is considering going to an online university to make sure the school has regional accreditation. Good luck
SNHU is!
15:00 I am exactly feeling like that. I just want it to be over and the 2 week break is coming up. Working full time and doing these classes is draining. Even if it is online classes.
How are you classes going? Have you graduated?
Did you find a online school that’s good? I’m looking into options
@@Adrianaxo. I ended up going to a community college in person where I live. I just prefer there to be someone teaching me stuff. I know there are Online colleges that have zoom calls or specific times you are supposed to be there etc.. I just haven't found one either. Good luck on your search!
WGU is the only other online school I found but it’s expensive and doesn’t have a lot of majors
Lol.
Brightspace is terrible compared to Blackboard. Navigating the course materials is atrocious.
David Butler 100% agree. I miss Blackboard.
I actually like brightspace better. Its easier for me to navigate and find things
Well, that works out for you good then!
It just need optimization. I caan see where its superior to blackboard
Brightspace is terrible... blackboard was on point and the virtual labs are complete shit.
I'm currently a sophomore online at SNHU majoring in Cybersecurity.
Did you find a job yet? How is school going?
Through I was the only person who love blackboard 😊 I am applying so I can get my BA in psychology.
Same!
How is it going? I’m thinking of the same.
Currently getting my Bachelors in Psychology. :) I love this school so far!
Just started my bachelors in Counterterrorism. Thank you for your video!
Awesome. I'm currently going for my Bachelors in American History. Loving it!
That's awesome!
First things first, tell your husband i said thank you for serving our country :)
I'm actually starting Sports Management on February 28th and was really nervous. After watching your video i'm determined to achieve my goal and get my degrees.
How has it been going for you?
Lets goo im doing Bachelor of Arts in Game Art and Development this was a good video of info thanks for this! online is a lifesaver for people with adhd and add! this works so well for our breed
I did get a Christmas break. So it was a break on December 22nd to January 6th. Was nice!
Thank you that was very helpful. I am starting SNHU this August and I’m super psyched!
Good luck!
Me too! Hope you have a great and successful semester! (: we got this!
Hey can you tell me the addmission process of that
I know it's been 6 years now but this was super helpful thank you!
I just submitted my application to SNHU today. This video is inspirational. I am thinking about a BA in History. Aiming for July 2020 term.
@@brianawright9042 I can post an updated video if you'd like, but basically I take 3 courses each term now and will graduate April 2020

Es cierto que cuentan con programas en español
Enjoyed the video! Thanks for posting. How long would you say the discussion palers need to be? And how long are other papers that generally need to be done?
The only thing I don’t like is that they don’t partner with companies to help their students with jobs. There are only job opportunities at the school for students that live in NH.
Hello did your financial aid cover the cost of your books? Do you remember how much the books and tools costs?
I am 50yrs old and I am starting my BS in Human Resources with SNHU in Feb 2023.
Just here to take lessons from experts.
hay Jayden I like what you had to say. It motivated me to really accomplish my goals and get my AS degree in business. Thank you
Thank you for this video!
Thank You for your very positive review.I will be attending snhu in the spring of 2019
First I really appreciate this video it made alot of sense and gives me a clear idea of how the classes will be .
My sister goes here and I might transfer and ai asked the same question, she said no. Hope this helps and aim not too late lol.
I know you uploaded this some time ago. I hope everything is going well for you and your family.
Very insightful. I'm considering online courses at SNHU and videos like yours are so very appreciated. Thank you. Good luck to you and your husband. I'll start looking for a dayplanner. 😁
How is it going now?
You said that your fun and colorful planner contributes to your motivation. Me, too! That's actually really important to make your study plan and note taking materials enjoyable. And, my middle school aged daughter's study notebooks are really bright with her highlighting and note taking.
Starting BA in psychology conc/ mental health as well as conc/ mental&behavior heath in adolescence
im going for my associates in criminal justice, hopefully it goes well. thanks for the info!!
Thats awesome! I hope you enjoy it! Happy to help :)

Myeasha J naw that school was good tho highly recommend it , I ended up taking a different career opportunity though
This video was SUPER helpful. I'm starting my first year at snhu in September and I'm super excited!
Glad you found it helpful!
How was going your experience with this College?
X2 how’s it going everything so far?
You’re not paying for your grade. You’re paying for the educational material they provided.
Thanks!
Thanks for this! I'm torn with what online school to go with

"Online" psychology courses are a dead end unless you concentrate on organizational psychology career in the corporate America.

Btw how do you do public speaking stuff with online
I'm not sure, none of my degrees require public speaking courses.

Thank you
i needed this, thank you
About how many hours a week do you need to dedicate to this?
Depends on the course level & who your professor is. Each term was different for me. Once I reached 400 level courses, that was when I was putting in 30+ hours a week.
I have a question! Do you feel like you would have had time to work a job while taking classes?
Tyler Macro
I am going through world campus Penn state and working full time.
I will be graduating in May and even decided to go to graduate school.
g. go thank you!
So do you recommend SNHU online or not?
My previous degree is in transportation technology right now I’m going for BS in Business Communications, I don’t like bright space at all I feel that a lot of the grading process isn’t as informative as blackboard was. Bright space doesn’t feel like an online class it feels like it’s just grading.
I loved your video, it was very helpful! Were all your books online (ebooks) or did you have a physical book??
It depends on the course! Majority of mine have been eBooks but sometimes they are physical books :)
@@JaydenRaelee Hey how is school going? how long left until you graduate? im thinking in attending there, I was a Junior when I dropped out of my University, not too late to come back.

I didn't have to provide any I don't think. I honestly can't remember, I did all my paperwork years ago.
Thank you. That's my biggest issue. I've been taking my classes online at a regular college for my last year and honestly trying to get a recommendation letter would be beyond hard to do.
