Nice finds Kenny, can't beat a good vinyl bargain.
Took me a while to get into Jazz but now I'm well down the rabbit hole and buy more Jazz than any other genre these days
I'm glad that you are into jazz and thanks as always for watching my video 😊
Wow i was just playing pretzel logic last night I have that original album myself my dad gave me that album album covers kind of beat up lol but the wax is perfect my dad loves Pat matheny 👍💯🥁 can I ask you a question have you ever heard of this band called jazz sabbath they're a jazz band that plays the music of Black Sabbath but it's jazzy not rock and roll and it sounds good really really good if you haven't never heard of them I recommend you listen to them I think you would like it
I have not heard of that band but it sounds like a interesting concept. Thank you very much for your comments ✌️
Great all - some of the second and third tier players are great musicians. Enjoy!
Thank you very much 😁😊
I'm so happy for your finds 😎🎸🎷🎺👍
Thank you very much ✌️
I listen to local artists a lot and a change from the usual Merle, lightnin Hopkins, and Taj. Change up can be good thanks for the review some em look like fun spins. Thank you.
Thank you very much for your comments and thank you very much for watching my video ✌️
Kenny one thing that I could suggest to make your channel even more enjoyable..is it possible to play a snippet of the music you are referring to as you speak…or are there copyright and infringements issues for doing so???
I sincerely appreciate your suggestion but youtube has very strong copyright enforcement rules and I do not want to risk having my channel taken down because of that. Some youtubers do it and get away with it but I do not want to take that risk, it's simply not worth it. In some of my videos I have links to some of the songs that I am referring to in my videos when applicable.
Understandable..keep up your amazing work of continuing to expose me to the wonderful world of music that I have yet to hear about....those rare finds.....
“Spoonful of fabulousness!” Yes, sir, no doubt. I appreciate your brand of honest and joyful sincerity. Thanks for sharing your love of music with us!
That is very kind and generous of you to say that, I appreciate it tremendously 😊😁✌️
Thanks Kenny. Love the videos! Just getting into jazz and am really appreciative of your recommendations!
Thank you very much 😊
Hi Kenny
Love your channel.
Some very cool finds!
And very interesting for me to see some records and artists I normally do not se in the wild.
If I find a record on the Pablo label I usually pick it up.
Love, peace and respect from
me in Copenhagen, Denmark
- Andrew
Andrew its cool that you are watching my videos from Denmark...thank you very much 😊
Hey Kenny, I love your channel! Thanks for sharing these finds! I have been trying to get into jazz, I consider myself an amateur audiophile. I have the Fluance RT 80 turntable that came equipped with the Audio Technica AT91 cartridge. I use a variety of different speakers, I even have an RCA to Bluetooth adapter so I can listen to records on Bluetooth headphones (or speakers) and walk around my bedroom without wires, or bring a speaker out in the kitchen to listen while doing the dishes.
BTW, you do not have to go fast over what you want to talk about! I'm pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say that we love to listen to you go into all the details about the records you are showing off and anything you know about the history of the band or artist, or how the record was recorded or when or who mastered it anything like that. We are all music lovers here and all of that stuff is very interesting to all of us I believe. I'm so glad your channel was recommended to me.
Thank you very much for viewing my video and your comments, I sincerely appreciate it and I appreciate your recommendations.
The reason that it appears that I may not be spending sufficient time talking about individual records or topics and going at what appears to be a fast pace is in response to other viewers in earlier videos saying that I was going to slow. A lot of people who watch UA-cam videos are very impatient (I am one of those people 😊😁) and if you don't keep it moving and go at a far and reasonable pace, then the viewer will tune you out and will get bored on move on to some else's videos because there is a multitude of choices on youtube. Today's society is very impatient because of the technology and the multitude of choices and I have to be mindful and aware of that as a youtuber. It's a fine and very difficult line to manage and it is extremely difficult keeping everyone happy and satisfied but I will try to do better and take your suggestion to heart 😊.
I am glad that you found my channel and thank you very much for your comments ✌️
…great haul Kenny ! i could see that “Rosemary Clooney Sings Irving Berlin” features the late great Canadian guitarist Ed Bickert…
Looking forward to listening to that one 😊
I actually enjoy buying records from under the radar jazz musicians. There is a treasure trove of great albums that have been overlooked and are out there in the wild waiting to be found and spun on a platter. I have a few of those you highlighted on your video and I think they're awesome.
Thanks for posting. Keep it up.
Thank you very much for your awesome comments, I sincerely appreciate it ✌️

Hi Kenny,
Great finds. Great video
Happy New Year! 🎆
Thank you very much. Happy New Year to you and your family 😊
Very nice finds! I have a hard time finding anything worthwhile at my local thrift stores.
It has been difficult the last several years for me finding good used records as well. I guess I was blessed this time. Thank you very much for your comments ✌️
Great Haul
Definitely reminds me of the good old days affordable record shopping!
Really enjoy your videos
Thank you very much ✌️
Very nice finds!
I've been really in a huge Mizell Brothers mood lately because their music is so listenable yet complex at the same time. So I've been trying to find all the 70s Donald Byrd, Bobbi Humphrey but the record I want the most right now is Johnny Hammond Smith - Gears.
There are so many layers to the Mizell Brothers productions and how they harmonize voices. It sounds amazing playing loud on a great system.
Cool 😊...I appreciate your love for great music...thank you very much for your comments ✌️
Wow. A lot of albums I’d like to hear. McPartland was such a great ballad player.
She was underrated but fantastic 👏
Extraordinary finds. I love Art of Noise, Moody, Grappelli, and Metheny. I have that Michael Franks lp too. Others I don't know much about so it's great to see albums I am not familiar with. And crazy... all for $2 USD each!! Really awesome. Your excitement really comes through. Thanks for sharing your thrift haul. Very fun and enjoyable to watch this video. And couldn't agree more, music is subjective. There will be different courses for different horses for sure with music.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate your comments, it means a lot to me and makes doing these videos well worth it 😊😁Thank you very much for watching my video ✌️
Look forward to watching more of your work. Appreciate it takes a lot of time and energy to produce these videos.Look forward to catching up with your videos as I'm new to your wonderful channel. @@kennysaudiophilerecordreviews
Thank you 😊
I enjoyed your trip to the flea market. It is always interesting seeing what cool music can be turned up. Music that you didn't know you needed until you see it there in the bin and then it is suddenly a "must have".
I had told you it is tough for me to go to such events because of my health (immune suppressed). To my surprise a day after telling you that, I actually got to "go to" such an event early Sunday morning. It was due to the kindness of one of my record store dealers. Out of the blue he texted me at 7:15 AM and said he was at a flea market. He was standing at several tables that had records that were right up my alley. He shot pictures of the covers and texted me. I replied Y or N. I got just under 30 titles for $5 or less per disk and they were all VG+ or better. By noon I had them and was cleaning and cataloguing them. It is amazing how kind people can be.
Like you I am looking forward to the Pretzel Logic UHQR. We should have them soon. I just got a notice this morning, that mine arrives today!
I am super happy that you were able to obtain these records via the kindness of another person, that's super cool.
I hope that you enjoy your Pretzel Logic UHQR.
I will continue keep you in prayer and I hope you stay blessed.
@@kennysaudiophilerecordreviews Thank you too for your kindness. Prayers are the best gift we can do for each other and I will certainly keep you and your family in my prayers.
I just got done with the UHQR and it sounded great to me, but I qualify that comment. I don't have another copy on LP to compare it to. Only an original CD. I guess Michael Fremer is causing people's head to explode on the internet because he reviewed it and gave the sound a 7. He followed that up with another post justifying it, which caused more trouble. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion including him. I hope you think it is worth the expense for you.
I listened to that Pat Metheny album a lot back in the day, especially side 2. Pat plays like a horn player, and is really a horn player at heart 🙂
Great album...always nice to hear from you Snaggle ✌️
hi, thank you very much from Brasil
Thank you very much for watching from Brasil ✌️
Lee Ritenour - The drumming on French Roast from Feel the Night is outstanding & the guitar lines on Uh Oh are so tasty!!
Looking forward to listening to my Lee Ritenour finds 😁
@@kennysaudiophilerecordreviews glad I found your channel! Cheers
I saw that Pablo album…..talk about forgotten about🤔 Do you dare do a video on your top Herb Alpert pics. He and Lani just did a concert in Charlotte NC this past week and he’s 88! He did a video congratulating Taylor Swift for tying his 4 albums in the top 10 and breaking another record of his. Needless to say, he doesn’t look his age.🤗
I've done a Lani video...I have considered doing a Herb Alpert video...I may do it at some point down the line perhaps. Alpert and Hall did a concert not to far from were I live but I did not go, I wish I did.
@@kennysaudiophilerecordreviews Took my daughter and son in law to see them at the Capitol Theater in Clearwater Fl. in 2017 when she was stationed there. I flew down from NC. Those two are a match made in heaven and so down to earth. I wonder how he received the news of Karen’s death. I give a lot of credit to Richard to be able to move forward in such a dark time….had to be Gods Divine healing of a broken heart. It’s a crying shame she didn’t realize what she meant to everyone!
Could have confused you on that response but I think you could figure it was Herb and Lani I took them to see. Only brought up the carpenters because of Herb.
Some great finds!
Thank you 😊
777 views, nice.
Thanks 😊
wow!!!
😊😁
Man, you really scored! Jazz makes me happy.
I love those jazz album finds 😊😁
Thanks for showing those awesome albums! Thanks for giving some love to Kirk Whalum, Larry Carlton and Miriam McPartland. I have a lot of their music in my own collection. I remember when my late grandfather took me to see Larry Carlton. He did not disappoint. I also go to see Steps Ahead and Miriam McPartland live. Kirk is awesome live. I like that kind of music. My musical taste is all over the place. Great video.
Thank you very much I appreciate that. Thanks for taking the time to watch my video and your awesome comments ✌️
Hello Kenny,
thank you very much for this video. You know I like the way you do things and love your posts here on UA-cam.
I have bought many good records (sometimes still in the original packaging) second or third hand and also from second-hand shops. For me as a record lover and DJ, it's both nice and horrible at the same time when the shopkeepers don't know what they have in some crate, but want to sell it as soon as possible.
Almost exactly a year ago I bought 160 records just 15 houses down the road for 15 euro. The records were from the 50's to the 70's, an amazing deal (jazz, blues, country and western, rock n roll, classical) and there were only 4 records in bad condition, all other mint or very good+ .
It wasn't the first collection I took over and it's interesting to me what you can find out about the previous owner in terms of care and order through the condition of the records.
Sometimes I get collections as gifts, especially from people who are still sentimentally attached to the records, who remember the time and the feelings associated with it, and therefore just want to put them in good hands instead of selling them.
Now I've written down half a life story for you again... please forgive me and thank you for your fantastic videos.
Best regards from Berlin to you and your family
It's always cool to read your posts because they are always interesting and great to read. It's nice that you are able to purchase records second hand in your country in a similar manner that I do.
Thanks as always for your comments and it is always nice to hear from you ✌️
