All footage was captured on the most recent DS:2 SotFS Patch (PC)
This was very experimental (for me) with editing, tried to do more "show don't tell". Also the purpose of the run was lost at some point, but it was a good time using my personal favourite magic in the souls series, hexes.

3:25 WTF?!? I platinumed the game completed the no death no bonfire run, SL1 run and have overall like 500 hours in this game. Today I learned invisible hollows exist...

I knew about them but it wasn't until reseantly when I replayed and founded one(you can only see them with a torch)
Learned that too like 2 days ago, instead mine were in the catacombs after the Demon of Song, there is one under the stair case and one after the two witches, beside the stairs to before Agna or whatever his name is who hates light.
@@Be_And after all this years you still learn new things. Amazing. I had the same reaction when I found out halfway in NG+, that there are illusury Walls... but you have to spam X instead of attack/rolling into them. And I rolled into every fucking wall in Drangleic.

Madlad used scenery as a fucking Chad meme, I lost my shit first time I saw it. One of the best jokes in the video, comedic timing is so good I can't even, and song goes with it perfectly.

There is nothing more upsetting than seeing how awesome your videos are and them not getting the appreciation they deserve. Your videos are so well edited and planned out it's so enjoyable to watch. Yet despite some videos having hundreds of thousands of views you only have 25k subs, it breaks my heart.

Been here since you were a tiny channel of a few hundred people doing a melee-only 1shot ‘guide’ on DS1. It’s been absolutely awesome seeing not just your growth in viewership, but seeing you improve and find your own style. Things like the part graphics, colour choice for some words, even the music shifting to become more low-tempo than in those early days, taking more steps away from your inspiration.
Best of all, your vids are still as good now as then, keep it up.

I love that in the first half of the video the biggest problem is the limited dark orb's casts, and then in the second half the "worst" problem is that you can't one shot pursuer lmao

Dark souls 2 was my first souls game and i love it so much. Progressing super slowly, not knowing what's around the corner, conserving estus and dying miserably to non-bosses. Ppl may dislike it, but for me ds2 is as good as the others in the series. Was so much fun (rage).

Pyromancy, Hex, and strength builds are my favorite setups across the souls series.
I feel that was a really good use of the first trumpet from LoR. Cause the atmosphere is very tense in that area.

Nice video! Also, this reshade looks amazing. Most Dark Souls reshades seem to be about forcing you to use a torch to be able to see anything anywhere, but this one really enhances the visuals of the game.

As someone who had done a hex only run, congrats! A lot of people may clown on it, but there’s definitely difficulties working with a certain damage source. Like fighting the mage killer lions before scorpioness. Or Fume Knight. God Fume Knight was so tough, with like 80% resistance to dark. Shit was brutal. And yeah, Dark Orb is just godly as a bread and butter spell. The fact it does poise damage, stunning enemies and making distance is crucial to its effectiveness. Hits like a truck for damage too.
Always get hyped when the Payday music comes out, love that game and it's glorious soundtrack.

I want to say before I get into this presumably amazing video already, I loved dark souls 2, I played it the most of all the souls series games. I'm genuinely excited and happy this game is finally getting some love after all the hate over the years.

I absolutely love the music choices throughout the video. The L corp music suddenly coming on around the 17 minute mark caught me offguard
after playing L. Corp. for the first time around October last year, i had to double take and look through the playlist to see if I was right, and I was half right, its 'First Warning' , but it is the LoR version.

Great guide! It should be noted you could definitely streamline then No-Mans Wharf section either by using a bow to ring the bell because technically you’d still be doing a pure hex damage run because it doesn’t deal any actual physical damage to anything. On that same not you could also make use of the cheese for the initial Pursuer encounter making him fall off the edge and skip to Lost Bastille that way.

Hex and Pyro builds were definitely some of my favorites in Dark Souls 2. I wouldn't do them often, but I loved the process of planning-out and building everything from scratch, especially in regard to Pyro: using the Dark Pyro Flame initially, spending a chunk of time gathering spells, then powering my way through the rest of the game. Incredible fun.

This is the video that convinced me to play dark souls 2, I had it on my steam library for ages but never once I actually played it. Around 90 hours later and getting the 100% I can now safely say that I hate this game with a passion, thank you mr Be And for making me regret my life decissions)))

Watching this video makes me want to play DS2 again. It's the first Dark Souls game I played and in some ways, my most favorite. Although I dislike a few things about it, it did some things so right.
