I'm impressed! The 450 rocks top to bottom! I've rode. 3wheelers for 40 years now and I know one thing . A well maintained 350 x will run for decades. The 450 ? Time will tell! Keep rocken guys! Ill be watchen

That's Awesome I have a 1998 YZ 125 with a big bigbore kit I would love it built in to a trike it Rips as is fresh motor. I was watching your other videos I under stand you guys rebuild motors fresh again wich is awesome. Keep up the good work .

Modern trike needs a bigger front tire. I'd rather see the back end sit lower, based on our 200x race trikes back in the day.
Maybe the current setup on the modern is better 🤷🏻♂️

Love the builds would’ve like to seen the two riding side by side for a bit better comparison but to just see them side by side like that is awesome too

Would love to see a bvc Yamaha yz/yzf plastics with a banshee engine, a clean one. Most of the ones I've seen don't look right, but I know if you guys did it, it would look like it came that way
Great looking trike, I was wondering about that front tire. On my 86, I tried to flip the front fork tubes around so the axel perch was in front and just 2 inches made the turning so bad so I flipped it back glad to see you were able to adjust it to still be able to have it set up out front and work correctly.
Anyone who's ever had a 350X could only dream of electric start. When that kick starter would kick back...DAMN.....it hurt.

It is pretty sick. Does look too tall though for a trike.I love the 350x's and 250r's. My old 250r atc was pretty stupid fast. Spanked just about everything. I really want a cr500 atc. That would be sick!!

I had a 350 x when I was a kid that's a beast of a machine. This 450 you guys built is a thing of beauty! Soon as I hit lotto I'm having you build me a supermoto version.😎
I would have a comparison. The 350X is really cool. My last race on three wheelers, was a fair race in central ohio. 4 strokes in one set of heats 2 strokes in another. Then they put us all together for the main event. I followed a 350X right on his tail pipe. Couldn't get around him. Being I was on a 200X and well ahead of all the 2 strokes. I consider that close to a win. Looking at this comparison pic it just reminded me of how wide his rear axle was. ( That new one is wider than the original version) but between us we spanked the 2 strokes on that track. That's a win for me. Gotcha it's a fair race in 1986.

The 450 is badass. Looks better than a factory made unit. Excellent.
That 450r I wicked. Ive got and 86 rebuilt with higher comp piston ported and polished head uni air filter and dg hybrid exhaust and a 400ex carb to top it off. Much better than stock.
As if they've never stop making them and what you build is what they would have evolved into.

I've got two of them, 85 and 86, the 86 is all stock original. Don't plan on ever getting rid of them. My boys want them when I get to old to ride lol.

What's the price tag on one....I have 9 ATC's ranging from a 70..two 125m.....185s....two 200x.....250sx.....350x...and a 250R....

Dam that 1985 350x is almost 100% original.Looks like just missing rear plastic side stickers.Tires are correct and nice wow.Mine has a strech rip like yours I bought some Blue permetex and smoothed it in crack stops foam from getting wrecked
Not sure why you’d even build a modern trike. Trikes are awesome but they are historic which adds to their appeal.

I like what you’ve done, but wonder why you would stick with the thumb throttle. That always seemed worse than a traditional wrist throttle.

As cool as it is. The 350x is still ten times the bike just for the pure fact of the motor. Those motors are so freaking tough. That 450 will spew its guts out all over the road and the 350x will keep on ticking. Nice build though. I really do appreciate the amount of design work that went into your kits.
Can you convert any dirt bike or you have guidelines to what you will convert

You guys shouldve built the 350 a little bit, like a big bore kit or something if it's available to try to make it a little bit better. Idk if that would've even helped though compared to a newer 450 lol

rdmanone I looked it up if u have your on bike it be around 6 but if u buy a new one from them your looking at around 12k..the cost of a new bike plus around 6,500 for the kit
I still love those old ones, killing them off was a huge mistake. This new one is nice but not for production I would imagine. It would be good for Baja racing.

So these are custom builds that customers supply a quad frame for?
We convert modern dirtbikes into trikes
You could use a quad subframe and the back half of a frame where the subframe and swingarm mounts. Then mate it up to the front half of a bike frame, with custom triple clamps to set the forks a little wider for the fat front tire.

The front wheel looks to small and probably a lot less traction then the 350....

The new one will perform better in every way but I still prefer the looks of the 350x
My 350X didn’t handle very well compared to my old 250R but I miss the long torque pulls of the 350.
