Well, as bad as it sucks, this is actually a good thing too! At least we got a reason why it wouldn't spoil!! Gotta love hot rods! Bless his heart, he's spared no expense trying to ensure that everything is 100% right and still has crap to deal with, but that's the fun of hot rods, right? I'll be anxious to see him happy when everything starts working together properly!! Does that use C6 clutches and steels like most triple disc converters do?
I'm using a 501 Perfect converter Behind my 454 big black Chevy inside for L 80 works perfect What I did I just hooked a switch to the lock up and hit the switch when I need it Awesome channel John thanks for the tec stuff Wachner
Well like everyone is saying, it sucks but thankfully you found the problem but now you not only have to send the convertor back you need to completely go through the trans and probably replace the cooler depending on type
Good find there. I would really caution once you get it to work right as to when you lock it up. Easy way to hurt an engine if applied too early. I would pay the money for the info from tkm or Lund to get that right.
Is the dump valve internal or external. It's a bfd in world of 400. The way it runs it needs to be internal or it can starve a part of the trans. It's a million times better the external on a 400. All I see are external cooler lines tho.

That's a good thing you were able to find the source of the problem. And it seems like it's rebuild able.

Very technical TJohn! I believe you guys have it now!🤩🤩
They look like Th 400 intermediate, clutches and steels.

John your the crew chief of figuring things out for sure
Ive only seen inside a Diesel Lockup.

Made alot of progress with the lockup.

You must have had a time getting that snap ring in place.

Glad ya'll getting it figured out. I have to ask tho, were the folks at Mark Micke Transmission not forthcoming with tech support?
That Mark Micke transmission is worth more than my whole car lol

Let's learn something
👍
Is that the car you were trying to spool up with nitrous ?
well now all that stuff is in the trans right????
I know what happened Turbo John happened. 🤣🤣🤣🤪
Donald probably tired of spending money on that car!!!!!
I, would believe the transmission, is full of the clutch material trash. Could cause shifting problems, in the valve body. Just, my 2 cents.
