You are definitely a Rare Gem in the racing world..!! What is so cool about your videos is that if you start from the beginning and watch up till now they have evolved into something special..you guys step your game up every video.. Keep up the great work both on and off the track..!!!
its funny when people are like, drag racing is easy you just go in a strait line, when you see the hundreds or thousands of things that have to go right in 3-5 seconds it is mind blowing. specifically how many ancillary systems that are working together in that 3 second span
The most fun guy to watch in drag racing. You can tell he truly enjoys every bit of it. He is badass but still has a blast doing it. Why do you do burn outs like that? "Cause I like it" put in the box with a win or in pieces he still acts the same. I really enjoy every video.
Ok I appreciate that . I had wondered about the modulation of the lock up of the convertor and how to set that up with the controls . I should have know you guys are already got thought out. I had head that the lock up event was blowing off the rear tire ,shock loading the drive train or massive wheel stands . So I assumed that might be controlled with the electronics of the car .
Man I could talk tech with Steve all day, how excited he got over my question you can tell he's a huge nerd for this stuff like me lol. That's so crazy you showed the video of the shadow wheelie while answering my question I was helping my buddy load up his ultra street car right by the fence when you went skidding by on the roof lol. Is that a 10" or 10.5" diameter converter? I figured track prep played a big part in when and how you apply the lock up along with power management based on what blower and blower speed you're running. So you're locking it in low gear huh? I was told by a 5.3" nitrous guy that's a no no, but imo I felt that if the tune up was right for the added load of the lock up you could do it. Knowing you were one of the pioneers of running a lock up in pro nitrous could you expand on this and tell us if the nitrous motor's are any different in where how and when they apply the lock up? I know the big 5.3" motors with 5, 6 and 7 kits are doing everything they can to get all the systems in before the gear change and just wondered how much more the lock up complicates the power management and shift timers. I'm a turbo queer (lol) and had one customer with a three speed and a lock up and I know how Proformance told him to run it, but I'm not up to snuff on the blower and nitrous set ups.
Hey Stevie I have a question love all the tips and tricks you show us but I have a strong problem blowing intake gaskets out on my blown alcohol door car it’s a big block chevy with a Indy intake and a ssi high helix 14-71 and I can not stop blowing intake gaskets any help tips or tricks to stop blowing these dang gaskets
Damn , hey Steve who makes that converter, spaceX ?sure looks strong . You are the best man ! Drag asses and gapp the piss out of them in 2019 P.s the hopping turbo cars are so fin funny
Great video, and thank you for the helpful answer, and not just flossing over like most would. Where could I learn more about the intricacies of pro level chassis set up, tuning, and power management? Any good books, or schools, etc? Thanks again, and all the best for 2019!
Ooooo I've been waiting on this one, you're awesome Steve. I met you a long time ago at Piedmont Dragway when you had the 2nd (i think might have been the third) Pumpkin.
@anonymous No, I mean spend money and put in the work to make this work in a street application. Takes money and r&d. Something wrong with that bud? Would you rather we still ride horses because someone had to dump money to design and produce the automobile?
@anonymous thats not a mic drop dude... how many of the guys who build a junkyard small block have any of that? I havent really seen anybody use proline on the street but I know steve morris has done some impressive things with what would traditionally be a quarter mile alcohol motor he's figured out how to make it survive thousands of miles on the road. Thats innovation. Again, thats why there are different classes. All of you guys who claim to be into racing always neglect classifying rules.
@anonymous there are other no prep events dude...and they have classes that deal with what you're talking about. To be fair you also specified drag week with that fuel motor. They too have classes.
Have you had the valve train package you run on a spintron? I assume y'all are running the smaller and lighter 1.500" or 1.520" OD valve springs? 70mm cam? I assume 9/16 push rod at least on the exhaust side and 1/2 intake. Man I'd love to see the valve events on the cam from one of your motors it could even be an old motor so you're not giving out new top of the line stuff lol.
My poor old clutch car just trying to shift at the light hahaha. Crazy RPMs absolutely love it! I dont think my Brad 5s and red stands could hold up to that hahahah
Stevey fast jackson , you are a master on screw drive blowers , I'm not a fan of hair dryers but I'm building another pro car , my first one wasnt competitive, I still dropped in the 5s but barely made the field in only a couple races , I want your help , I hav money , I know money cures our need for speed , I will buy a roots and call you for your help , I'm only going to run a few IHRA races , I'm mainly going to grudge race some of these sesame street fellows like big bird , burt and ernie , and maybe grouchy , them guys hav some cool cars and like to lose their money for publicity, well I like money and I'll like their money even more , talk to you soon
Tell us more how about the car. Gear ratios you run, tire size big tire small Tire, type of engine (BAE ?) How many pounds of boost ? What kind of RPM do you see going through the traps. What kind of horsepower are you making.... cool s*** like that. Lol
Great video Steve just wondering were you a child actor you look and sound just like the little kid in sling blade just kidding keep kicking ass have a great day be safe.
You a bad man Mr Jackson! Thankyou for taking the time like allways to show us how you and your HOTROD roll !
Thank you for watching!
I think it is awesome how you make time to explain things like this to your fans. Drag racing needs more people like you. Thanks Stevie
You are definitely a Rare Gem in the racing world..!! What is so cool about your videos is that if you start from the beginning and watch up till now they have evolved into something special..you guys step your game up every video.. Keep up the great work both on and off the track..!!!
Thanks Stevie for the education. There are those who talk shit, and those who know shit. We know you're at the top of your game Steve. Thanks again.
Complex is an understatement. I didn't know you had that much going on in the car. Thanks for the video, Steve.

Cool Fast:) Great Video! but I hated seeing that automotive masterpiece of yours go air born, and was happy to see you walked away unscathed!!
That was great. I'd love to see more of these.

It looks like an old-school dedenbear delay box on your firewall above the airpod controller if that's what it is what does it control?
Ooooo I've been waiting on this one, you're awesome Steve. I met you a long time ago at Piedmont Dragway when you had the 2nd (i think might have been the third) Pumpkin.
I was thinking of adding upgrades to my carbed 462 but after watching this video I think I'll just leave it alone and be happy with what I got
I remember when drag racing was putting in a big engine and a 2 speed power glide. It has gone WAY hi-tech.
@anonymous yeah thats why theres different classes.... for the guys with a budget, and the ones who push boundaries and innovate.
@anonymous No, I mean spend money and put in the work to make this work in a street application. Takes money and r&d. Something wrong with that bud? Would you rather we still ride horses because someone had to dump money to design and produce the automobile?

He should explain the MSD grid and how they use it as traction control.....gotta love that slew rate... makes tuners from tuna fish
Great stuff as always.
Thanks for the videos man. I would love to see what your pit setup looks like. Sorry to pester
Damn, big rpm's there.... what engines are you using, is there a difference between the radial and promod engine configuration?
Have you had the valve train package you run on a spintron? I assume y'all are running the smaller and lighter 1.500" or 1.520" OD valve springs? 70mm cam? I assume 9/16 push rod at least on the exhaust side and 1/2 intake.

Question: what are the regulations for screw and roots blowers in the NHRA?
best video series period , you explain shit ! Thanks
Always fascinating
Great video
Ty sir love the video and KTR FUCKING ROCKS
Awesome Info!
This is good stuff. Thanks
Lot of that stuff has come from industrial machinery. It’s pretty much a plc controlling pneumatic valve bank.
You're Just Stupid Fast and I mean that in a good way love you Stevie
My poor old clutch car just trying to shift at the light hahaha. Crazy RPMs absolutely love it! I dont think my Brad 5s and red stands could hold up to that hahahah

Do you run tubes in your tires? Why or why not?
That little car on that 2 step hahaha
What is the update on the new car?
love it!!!
What’s the blacked out msd box? Is that a arc controller or a boost controller (don’t tell me your swapping to turbos, lol)
Manual launch control module looks like..
So is that like a BRUNO?
HA - sounds like rocket science to me.
Do you ever split the pot with racers? Do a lot of drivers want to?
STEVE NEVER SPLITS

Are you going to send me parts for my "street" car? Why or why not?
Holy fuckin hell
Witch craft, pure witch craft. The blacked out box is where the wizard lives. Lol
The wires in that car are worth more than your first s10 lol

Maybe you can go teach a class at Nasa with that rocket..
LOL @3:50!!!!
Stevie free mason Jackson ...
Well that made no sense to the normal person. Lol
Drag racing will end up like DJs. You just sit there and push buttons. Paris Hilton will a 2028 NHRA Champion.
I see Haney gave you a thumbs down. lol
Shit ton of info....Dammmmm
But what about turbo cars? Lol🤣😂🤣
The fastest blower car can't run with the fastest turbo car. FACT
MAN CUT THE FUCKING MUSIC
