    What an incredible tutorial series, thank you very much!
    Your landings always look so smooth and easy going. You always land on the center line as if it was the most normal thing in the world (ok, well, it's your job, I know!)
    Could you maybe do a tutorial, how to use the rudders properly, especially in conjunction with the Yoke? No matter how hard I try I'm still way off the centerline, one time my plane even rolled on to the side as I had given too much rudder apparently.
    It's frustrating 😅

      its to alert the pilot in case of it being turned off accidentally, press the ap disconnect button again to silence

    It seems when I’m slowing down on descent like to 250 knots it seems like the aircraft goes nose up like it’s going into a stall is this normal for that aircraft

    At 0:24 you said "Once we are in range and receiving signals from the ILS..." - Q: How do you determine when you are receiving these signals? You didn't make that clear and just waved your mouse around the PFD.

      I'm not super savvy on aviation and been watching videos on auto land, from what understand the signal is obtained once your coming in for approach you hit the ILS button or switch there is a signal being transmitted from the runway and the ILS will only pick it up if you are under 3000ft, the pink triangle slope indicators start to appear once singal is established.

      I'm still having problems receiving signals that's why I'm here I beleive my problem is tuning to the atc channel like he shows you have to be on the correct channel in order for the ILS to pick up the glide slope

    Can anyone explain more about how the (final) approach mode works in the A310? I see it in the MCDU, I short experience until now indicates it should be activated. I have seen it required for LOC and G/S to be captured, and possibly also for doing a managed speed reduction in sync with flap settings (like the A320 does). Comments on this?
    I hope they will fix some of the bugs, not least the almost quiet sound level now from engines, flaps, call outs etc in latest release. Takes away a lot of the immersion when sounds are almost gone. Sadly I don't see fixes for A30 mentioned on next SU.

    Fantastic video. My only question is how you got the FMS to slow to the flap speeds automatically? For me, if there are no speed restrictions on the STAR, it will stay as fast as it can all the way to the glide slope.

    I have an issue where when I input the iLS frequency and engage land mode the plane will intercept the glide slope but won’t actually descend. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

    Dear, when you turn off autopilot after flaps 30/40 and auto thrust, is this just autopilot1 or autopilot2 or both? To switch to full manual landing?

    I fly this aircraft on Xbox. Just wondering is it normal for the aircraft to pitch up terribly when the thrust increases, and on landing for the plane to pretty much flare automstically at like 100 feet.

    Artemis' launch had me wondering how much of the airspace would be restricted around that area. If you were flying a route in the vicinity would you be able to see the rocket or would you be too far away.

      Good question, not 100% sure to be honest. Did you try to google for the NOTAM in question? The data should all be there on the internet.

      Turn off flight director. It can interfere even after the A/T disconnected when the FD is left on. Except on ILS approach, you need to completely turn off the FD when going manual to avoid that from happening, and this apply to on modern Airbus.

    But how did you turn off the warning noises for AP disconnect so quickly, as soon as i cut mine it was beeping the entire way 😅

    How did you stop the autopilot disconnect alarm? When I disconnect the alarm constantly goes off and I can't stop it despite pressing the warn reset button.

      Just press the AP disconnect button again.

    Loving the plane, but weird that it was in LOC* the whole time, always off to the right. Struggling to know what is a feature of the 'rudimentary' autopilot or if it's a bug but I guess it means more manual flying for now :) Thanks very much for the videos too!

      Definitely a bug, that thing is CAT III certified, the AP would never allow something like that to happen. It seems like this "rudamentary AP" thing kinda becomes an excuse for bugs, but believe me, when you have an aircraft that's CAT III certified - or any certified transport aircraft for that matter - the AP will by far not be as sluggish as this one.

    Sehr gutes Tutorial! Hat mir echt nochmal geholfen, den Flieger korrekt zu handeln. Aber ich habe ein Problem beim deaktivieren des Autopiloten. Das Warnhorn ertönt nach deaktivieren durchgehend. Egal was ich mache. Egal ob ich den Autopilot am yoke deaktiviere oder an der fcu. Das ist extrem nervig. Wie hast du es geschafft bzw. welchen Button hast du betätigt, dass er einfach ganz normal mit einer einmaligen Warnung ausgeht ?

    Amazing tutorials, have used them for the 737 and now for the A310! I do have a question about the approach procedure though. So you used the LAND mode to fly the ILS, but is that the only way? Would using VORLOC do the same thing but not auto land / CAT III?

      VORLOC is a lateral mode, not a vertical one. It would follow the localized but not the glideslope. For vertical guidance (GS) you'll need LAND mode in the A310.

    Alle Videos durch und eine Menge gelernt. Mir ist aufgefallen, dass das Flugzeug zu weit rechts flog trotz loc und gs und du am Ende manuell nachgesteuert hast. Ist das normal oder ein Bug? Fand die Abweichung schon extrem. Danke für alle Videos.
    Edit: Steht ja unten, Bug, daher hat sich die Frage erledigt.

    If im not mistaken, Inibuilds said in their tutorial videos that according to the IRL A310 pilots they talked too the VNAV decent is known to be unreliable and they usually do the decent manually as you do in this video. Ill try to find the point in the videos where they mention it and edit this post to share the info, but I too would like to see the A310 do a better job with the VNAV decent as a quality of life thing. :)

      To put it in their own words though: "What the manual says is what it does".
      I'm sure the manual does not say it should just switch off entirely and do "something" but not descending. Without being an A310 pilot myself, what they talk about sounds like a very basic system while what I saw three times in a row trying to record this tutorial was more like a non existing or very bugged system.
      On my livestreams so far I believe we've been more lucky and the system worked better. Probably as designed. On this particular route however... it just didn't work.

      @@A330Driver Absolutely agree with what your saying. In fact, if you look at the VDEV in the video he is also way off path. I typically experience +/- 3000 feet of deviation on my descents in this bird. Hopefully they will work something out soon but Inibuilds did say that all updates are up to Asobo. Really hope this doesn’t get pushed to the back burner.
