This channel brings back so many fond memories. Listening to Fodt Til A Herske in 94 looking at the sea at our summer house, the horizon and Mortiis' JV30 making my imagination go wild. Fjelltronen represents the peak of that era. Darkthrone sounding more like Darkthrone with every release, amazing side projects and experimental stuff, Osmose Productions and Cold Meat Industries... The scene was so small and everything was wonderful. We were making the music we wanted to hear for ourselves and no one else, and there was no danger of being even remotely cool to the mainstream. We thought it was going to last forever. It didn't but this channel brought some of it back and I'm grateful for it. Keep it pure, keep it safe, keep it secret 🤫
opp under fjellet toner en sang got me in a good mood, and it just got REALLY good transitioning into tiden er en stenlagt grav and into fra fjelltronen
Immer noch so großartig! Hunderte Male gehört seit seinem Erscheinen, habe bis heute nie wieder etwas musikalisch Vergleichbares gefunden, dass mich so berührt.
it's a painting from Theodor Kittelsen (1858-1914), which I suppose to be royalties-free. Burzum and Neverlur have also picked his paintings for their albums' front-covers.
@@quantumcake well, when you start to go through the norwegian album catalogue In black metal, you see how much they ripped off eachother and then many started to copy them etc... and in Many ways! So in the end the whole scene wasn't so unique and "never heard before", but hell, you can't beat the nostalgia, what it brings! 😉
Yeah. Duh. And? Carpathian Forest were a second rate copycat band that brought nothing new to the table back then. And this era was all about bringing in new things. @quantumcake you're just talking bullshit. Were you even alive back then? It was original. It's the second rate bands like Gorgoroth, Behemoth, Carpathian Forest and the like that were copycats. The scene went to shit because low quality people started coming in because of low quality accessible bands.
One of the best Dungeon Synth albums ever recorded. Top 5 for sure!
My soundtrack to an unforgettable trip to the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) in the surroundings of Freiburg.
Still breathtaking to listen to after all these years.

I'm pretty sure I've listened to this album more times than any other.

eeeerrrr... that's totally a carpathian forest first EP cover. same year as well. wtf?

I thought so, but it bugged me anyway. Album covers should be unique, as in, not used by many bands/artists.
