Hi Steve,
First of all, I am so impressed by your kindness and the PDF file. I was grinning from ear to ear when I found out you had sent me the lesson's PDF with generous notes. I just printed it out and am listening to the story and watching your lesson. Imagining that I hop into the taxi you drive and have a wonderful chat with you and listening to your Liverppl English accents during my journey.. that would be a smashing day for me. I have a fabulous feeling that I will have a happy time learning English because of you and your genuine help for English learners all over the world. By the way, I am a supporter of the Tottenham football team.
I am really looking forward to your nex lessons and wish you a amazing day!
Wow thanks Sophie that’s a great comment. I wish you every success with your English learning and hope my videos will continue to help. Steve

Now, I wonder if "Keeping on improving my English" as subject innit correct.
Seek and you will find 🤣🤣
Thank you so much dear sir for your wonderful class🙏🏻🙏🏻😊😊❤️❤️🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Thanks Betsy 🌻
Incredible! It's like I'm actually in a taxi in Liverpool!😎 Thank you very much for your efforts! It wasn't only useful but also very interesting to watch❤
Glad you liked it, I hope you noticed a little cameo from me on the banks of the Mersey
@@SoundBritish No! I watched the first part and during the explanation was distracted by work and just listened. Of course I noticed you during the second viewing🙂. Hope someday I'll see Liverpool with my own eyes.😍
One day. They say that if you sit at the Pier Head (which is the area at the waterfront where the ferry docks) long enough the whole world will walk past you.
@@SoundBritish I really love places like this. The more I look at the city, the more it attracts me.
@@SoundBritish I noticed that 😉😁
Hi Steve! It's good to see you again. I don't know but I feel like I will meet you in person one day 😍
That would be great. Thanks for all your kind comments and support Djaffar 👍
@@SoundBritish ❤️🤗
Good morning thank you so much
Hi Krus, thanks for commenting
Hello sir
Hi Vandan
Hi Steve, I'm little perplex about the pronounce of "contrary"! It seems Country.
Hi Manuel, (love the use of ‘perplexed’ 🙂) to say the word ‘contrary’ correctly split it in to two - the first cont has a definite’Oh’ sound like the word Font or the name Ron whereas ‘country’ has a ‘Uh’ sound like in the word front. The second part of ‘contrary’ is pronounced RuhRee (very quickly) whereas the end of ‘country’ is just Ree. It takes a little practice , so try it slowly first then at normal speed. Hope this helps Steve
Not only Brits every nation does that...... compressing the sentences!!
Yes, you are right. The aim of this channel is to teach the English language that most people actually use so that its easy to communicate in a natural everyday way. Thanks for your informed comment - Steve
Please explain the video of a lil gal who went viral arguing about icecream.... I couldn't understand a bit what she has spoken of ..
I hadn't seen this until you mentioned it and it's hilarious. I have written what was said here bear in mind that the little girl has a strong regional accent and so used broad vowel sounds -
Little girl - "So there's an ice cream van there selling just 2 ice creams with 2 chewing gums in it for bloody £9 for 2 of them "
(The use of "so there's" is a simple phrase that's used to begin her opening statement. "an ice cream van" is a small van that travels around the streets of the UK selling ice cream. She used "just" here to mean "only" because she considered that "only 2 ice creams containing chewing gum for the cost of £9 was too much. Her use of the word bloody is to express her outrage. )
Her mum said "9 quid for 2?" (quid is a common word to use in place of pound)
"yeah 9 quid" (notice the use of the schwa sound in yes so it becomes yeah)
"That is going to get nowhere " (she used this phrase to express that she doesn't thing the seller will be successful , if she had thought he would she might have used "he will go far")
The little girl continued - "One that comes on my street either £1 a p or £2" ( here she is saying that an ice cream van that regularly visits the street she lives on only charges one or two pounds"
The mum agrees by saying "He is going to get nowhere with that"
To which the little girl replies - "No he ain't is he?" (ain't is a common way of saying is not)
the mum - "No he ain't"
"That's well bad innit it?" (here the mum uses a modern term innit which is a variation on 'is it not'
little girl- "He should know" (in other words he should be aware that he is charging too much for his ice creams)
she continues - "And he only does bloody cards. Stood there with my cash bloody hell" (by this she means that the ice cream seller would only accept card payment and she was standing in front of him wanting to buy but only had cash"
The mum sympathised - "That's well bad innit ?" (using the word 'well' to mean very)
The little girl agreed - "bloody well bad"
and ended by saying - "yeah bet he can hear me" (meaning that she was confident that the seller could hear her disgust at his business practices)
Hope this helped and thanks for commenting Steve
@@SoundBritish thank you so much

Can’t stop watching this nonsense where they cook and visit each other. I've already watched 10 episodes. Such a strange food for me but they talk so funny 😂
Just talk like them and you’ll be fine 🤣🤣
I would love to😂
