My family moved from East Ham to Billericay in 1968, when I was about 7. I went to Sunnymede school, until I moved on to secondary school and went to Billericay school. My second job was at Key Markets supermarket in the High Street. I moved out to a flat in Southend-on-Sea when I was 22, so around 1983. I now live on the outskirts of Swindon, but still love Billericay, and think of myself as an Essex boy, and a 'Billericay Dicky'! 😄
What a wonderful short clip of 1963 in Essex I was born in 1965 in Birmingham so only remember the last 18 months of the decade I suppose A much simpler time growing up. Yes, there were horrible things going on but as kids it never ‘affected’ us. We came home from school, did ‘sone’ homework, ran all over the place, sometimes on rollerskates and went on bike down to local park😍😍😍😍😍😃😃😃😃👍 👍 👍 👍 🌼🏴🏴❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I notice not many cars on the road. Not many women drove then, mainly the husbands, some of whom did not allow the wife to drive. I also notice Charrington’s Pub, brand swallowed uo by BASS
I lived in Billericay from the age of 4 until 15 yrs. My Sister was born there and Baptised at St. Mary Magdalen church in the High Street. My Father passed away in St. Andrews Hospital in 1966. He was 38. My Mother moved us to Wiltshire to be with family in 1969. Fond, fond memories of a happy childhood, many friends made in school at Sunnymede and later in Chelmsford and The Girls Brigade. I kept in touch with Captain Molly Simpson until her death a short while ago.
Yes, quite fun isn't it, of the period but sadly I can't remember the name or where I got it, probably from The UA-cam Creator royalty free music library!

Score sounds like a Norman wisdom flick of this period.
