You need to ask? Of course! Yes!
Splendid to have him come in.
Absolutely. 👍
World love to hear more from Rabbi Joe!
Yes, please!! more of Rabbi Joe.
I’ve spent some time with Rabbi Joe in person and he is as genuine as he seems. Full of light and love. And he takes an approach to the Word that we typically do not see in the church. Think of how our Jewish brethren have had 3000+ years with the Holy Scriptures. We have had 200. We are babes in the woods in appreciating the sacred texts. May we ever remember to be thankful to the Jews as Nephi admonishes, for preserving the holy scriptures.
Beautifully put!
Well , this was most interesting indeed. I could happily spend a day at a time listening to Rabbi Joe . Hope he comed back soon.
Yes! Well said...
More Rabbi Joe. I love our Jewish brothers and sisters.
Not just reading, but savoring the words. I need this
I love the way Rabbi Joe explains the element of Hebrew thought which allows my mind to open up to see the journey of discovery.
Im a Mexican LDS member living in Cancún and I love the way Rabbi Joe explains the Ebrew lens He uses to understand the BOM and that helped me way much to understand it too please invite Him as much as you can to me it feels like having a family member of someone from the BOM explaining how his ancestors view the sacred and spiritual things.😊
Please more of this! Completely different view of words we have read over and over - now with new eyes and understanding.
This is eye-opening and fascinating! This is what the scriptures taught about feasting upon the words and liken the scriptures unto ourselves. It is like opening a treasure box. Thank you Brother Tyler and Rabbi Joe for arranging this broadcast. Looking forward for the next broadcast.🎉
Yes, Please more of Rabbi Joe. His methodical and deep interpretation of each word helps me to appreciate the effort it took to engrave the plates. Thank you Rabbi Joe and thanks to Scripture Central
I have always wondered how a Jew would interpret the Book of Mormon. I would love more of Rabbi Joe's study sessions. He is so enlightening! He brings up ideas that I had never thought of !
As I listen to Rabbi Joe's expounding of every word in just a single verse makes me think how shallow our own understanding of the meaning of the scripture as an LDS. Hope we can hear more from Rabbi Joe of his own interpretation of the holiness that lies deep within every word of the Book of Mormon. 😊❤❤❤ So powerful!
This was so enlightening. When I first read the Book of Mormon, seeing "and it came to pass" was jarring and frustrating (due to its repetition). This has taught me the value of this phrase, and its necessity. And I feel challenged to look for more instances of it. Thank you both for sharing this with us! (And yes, more, please!)
More please. This was awesome. I was ‘astonished’ at what you were able to teach me in just 27 minutes. I love this journey of life we are all experiencing, and cherish surprise jolts of deeper understanding I encounter along the way. Thank you.
I thoroughly enjoyed rabbi Joe's perspective and reading. He makes me appreciate the text even more as he dissects it and bringing the application to our own lives. That is a great method to connect the dots of antiquity with us in today's time. I loved it. Wish it was longer.
This was amazing! I've never heard a Rabbi break down scripture and for him to spend time with The Book of Mormon! I've learned so much
Fascinating insight! Let's hear more from Rabbi Joe.
Wow what a powerful interview thank you Bro Griffin and Rabbi Joe!
Our pleasure!
Thank you Tyler and Rabbi Joe for showing how special the scriptures actually are.
More please!!! Feasting on The Word. There must be a phrase that expresses more than just ‘Thank You’.
Wow...this was also astonishing. I was unaware of these deep insights. Thankyou Rabbi.❤
That was absolutely Beautiful!♥️
Love this video
Yes,more of this special duo ❤
Thank you both❤
I think it's wonderful to learn more Hebrew information ❤❤❤ 5:18
This is amazing! We need more like this. As a Sunday school teacher I have tried all year to convince/teacher my ward that understanding the Jewish culture will help them better understand the Book of Mormon!!! Thank you tank you thank you! More like this please!
And now it came it pass that i journied through this video. And behold i found joy in my mind, heart, and soul.
Please! Do this again!
Just as I got excited about the knowledge that there was indeed a prophet on the earth again, just as I got excited about hearing The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints was on the earth again I get the same joy and happiness hearing our wonderful educators on the Come Follow Me sites speaking to intelligent, spiritual brothers and sisters from other faiths sharing their insights ❤🙏 I love hearing from Rabbi Joe 🙏 Thank you Tyler 🙏
Isn’t it wonderful that our years of reading this holy text (BoM) is SO enlightening when the journey leads us to a Rabbi who can unlock a deeper meaning in only ONE verse. Thank you Rabbi Joe. I had a spiritual wow moment.
Rabbi Joe is such an incredible teacher, this incredible lesson is so enlightening.
Thank you for this enlightening Book of Mormon study with Rabbi Joe. Appreciating each word of this sacred text is eye-opening, and truly, as Nephi stated, likening every scripture to ourseves!
Oooo I’m super excited for this!!! Thank you for sharing!! 🥰❤️
This was just absolutely great! Thank you for doing this. Both of you are such fine, God loving men.

My husband and I teach the 16-17 year old Sunday School class. With your permission, we’re going to use parts of this discussion in class a week from Sunday. Thank you Rabbi Joe and Brother Tyler 😊
Go for it!
More, more, more. I loved the explanation.
I like this about studying with a rabbi. 1 verse, 2 hours, 3 interpretations.
This is what many of us need. I will be a regular follower.
Yes more from Rabbi Joe love to hear the discussion and different view. What a great guy !!
Fascinating and enlightening. Yes, please continue!
❤ I love the way Rabbi Joe is dissecting the words of just one verse of Alma 17!
I now, read with a different look at each words.
Thank you both, for this wonderful discussion. 😇
Wow this is a fantastic angle and point of view! Love it! It makes Nephi’s statement to liken all scriptures unto us even more noteworthy
This is truly beautiful. Thank you for teaching us how to dig in and deep into our journey. Please share more of your light and wisdom
I appreciate Rabbi Joes perspective and thought process.
Love, love, love the depth of insight and undetstanding shared by our dear brother Rabbi Joe! More please. I feel such a kinship with our Jewish brothers and sisters, the Savior being the One I'm most familiar with. We share the same heritage really. I became familiar with their culture through Chaim Potok's books, and also Fiddler on the Roof. I just love them!
Yes, yes, & yes. Please share more wisdom from other’s knowledge, & experience. & Great reminders to us that have from studied @ BYU Jerusalem!

Rabbi Joe is a gem! I would love to study with him every week. Thanks. On a technical note, Tyler was leaning back in his chair and the mic did not pick up his voice very well.
I would enjoy Rabi Joe again because he stated he doesn't like religions pulling each other down like in debates we dont need to correct one another or preach what we dont agree with about their beliefs if we just preach our own and just listen to good talks like Rabi Joe gave us it is building each other up not pulling down my Latterday saint Jewish Holyland guide only spoke Good of the Jewish Religion and pointed out a lot of similar principles
This was breathtaking. Please, please more of this. The combination of Tyler and Rabbi Joe is awesome.
More of this, please.
This is so enriching! And anticipating each day with an expectation of experiencing awe and spiritual astonishment is great motivation to leap out bed and fall on our knees! Thank you both 😊
Absolutely loved this!
Yes, please do more of these videos! I was so enlightened by this!
This is beautiful! I love this SO MUCH!!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and understanding, Rabbi Joe!!
Thank you. I love this approach that slows down and helps you think about the verse and the words used. Seeing it from a Jewish perspective is wonderful, opens up a new way of studying the scriptures.
Yes please.
This Rabbi had my respect within the first 40 seconds of the interview due to his respect for our gospel.
amazing, thanks Rabbi, learned a lot
Most interesting and I enjoyed this. My personal concern is reading more into scriptures than is actually there.
Thank you, I shall watch again.
That's a great concern which Rabbi Joe addresses in the video. When he studies a sacred text, he takes the words at their value. He intentionally doesn't read this "in it's context." As a Rabbi, he is analyzing and exploring the intricacies of the text as it is written. As you join us each week, we think that viewers will begin developing better lenses for exploring the scriptures, as they look for a deeper level of understanding. Thanks for your comment! :)
This is a very special episode!! Thank you Rabbi Joe for your insights!!
We love Rabbi Joe and his commentary. We look forward to all these conversations.
Thank you Rabbi I forgot to love life and drink deeply every day from he who loves my soul. I am so grateful to encounter you, remember what you have taught me and I will look for your other videos. Shalom ❤🖖
Wow, thank you Rabbi Joe.
Yes,please-let's study with him more. Also if you could also include the written version of the Hebrew words
My mind takes me back to a flash glimpse into eternity in my early years in my conversion. It has the same feeling today looking forward to the following scripture.
I would love to learn more from Rabbi Joe. I was greatly uplifted in thought and understanding. Thank you!
Yes please.
❤ love this!! Yes more would be good.
This was well found, please don't stop making these videos
To change to become to believe to beloved.... Conversion.... my will for His... subjection... Epiphany!!!! 17:1 and it came to pass.... how beautiful!!!! To see God is to see change.... His will over mine is to see God Himself.... Don't Miss This!!!!! isn't that a whole thing????????
Wow! I loved this and would love alot more with Rabbi Joe
This beautiful god is good everyday 😇🙏
Such a lovely perspective! I would love to hear more from Rabbi Joe. I'm looking forward to my next astonishment!
This is Great! More Jewish Rabbis on Book of Mormon.
His perspective was new and outstanding!
I really enjoyed this episode. I have a friend that is a rabbi that passed away a few years ago. He enjoyed going to our church meetings and knowing members of the church. He and I enjoyed sharing insights we each had on the scriptures and gospel topics. Really enjoyed how Rabbi Joe got into the nitty gritty details of this particular verse.
I've always loved the Hebrew perspective and insights. So rich and meaningful. Thank you Rabbi Joe for sharing your thoughts and hebraic insights. It really added to my scriptures study today. 🥰
And there is none other people who do understand the things [words] of the Jews like unto them save they are taught after the manner of the things of the Jews. 2Ne. 25:5
I enjoyed this, very good
Always love hearing from Rabbi Joe! Keep it coming!!
Also revives memory
of when a couple senior
pastors came to debate
the young Mormon elders
of The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day
Saints
AND WE WERE INSPIRED
to speak on that which
we agree and all
were edified
This is wonderful, thank you. I am in awe with his words and insites. Thank you Rabbi and Tyler
This podcast is just amazing! I am one who whips through the scriptures and says, '"I'm done." without even knowing sometimes what I've read. This reading of ONE verse blew me away. Reading a whole chapter this way would take a looooong time but would be so insightful! Thank you for sharing your friend with us and letting me know that there is so much more to each verse than I've been seeing. I plan to slow way down and read word for word to dive deeply into the scriptures.
Wow Rabbi Joe is the real deal, what a godly person. How wonderful it is to see such genuine respectfulness
Love the insight and respect.
That was Awesome! Thanks, Guys!
We would absolutely love to see more!
That was refreshing
"And it came to pass" is an invitation to look carefully at what follows! Not a phrase to be ignored! Wonderful insight!!!
Yes. I do appreciate Rabbi Joe’s discussion of “And it came to pass.” I am a convert since 1966. I’ve always skimmed past this phrase.
Great content! Thank you, Rabbi Joe, for offering your insight!
Yes more of Rabbi Joe. I learned so much already and come to the need to slow down when we read our sctiptures. One verse and yet i came to appreciate more the prophets who wrote the sacred texts. Thank you
God bless you Bro. Tyler and Rabbi Joe.❤
Yes please, I loved that insight into one verse I have read so many times, but never understood it as much as today. Thank you Rabbi.
This moment in the scriptures is one of my favorite. After reading the book many times, one time this scene just finally clicked with me. It felt so joyful and significant. I've enjoyed listening to Rabbi Joe further expound on it.
I’m blown away by the comments of the Rabbi, who would have thought that so much can be extracted by such a short text? A new way of studying for sure. ❤
I was blown away by how Rabbi Joe explained one scripture. Like you said, most people would have just used that scripture as a diving board. Now whenever I read, "and it came to pass" I will give the scripture more thought and delve deeper. I love studying with others of an open mind who can enrich my path and I would love to hear more from Rabbi Joe!
What a wonderful way to look at the scriptures.
I am all about this building bridges of faith!! 🥰 please keep this series going!!! I feel like all members of the church of Jesus Christ could benefit greatly from learning from them! And maybe, it will draw others to us to learn more!! This is wonderful!
