  • This video was very amateurish but when I went to work on it some more I took the time to realize not everything could be perfect and decided to publish it anyway, I'm really happy with how this turned out I think its about as unfiltered as it can get. Even though the person this is dedicated too is very much not here anymore I hope to continue on with my life never forgetting about how much of an impact they left upon me and I hope in some way this video helped you or was even just enjoyable. If you're ever in a moment in which you feel suicidal or helpless remember there is always those out there willing to put in the time and effort to help you heal and move forward with your life, I have linked a helpline number below for anyone in need of such help or just need someone to talk too in a time of unhappiness, remember to always keep moving forward. Thank you for watching!

Shoya is just a very...real character. Sadly me and I know many others can relate to him, but to show that that what's done is done and does not dictate how you live the rest of your life is such a beautiful way to stretch that connection into something so much more positive. Love that movie.

This movie is the reason I first found myself able to cry after years of emotional anguish and numbness. For that I will always love this movie because it helped me remember I can feel, and that I do have a place in this world. Thank you for this video. Providing a platform for such a beautiful piece of animation in such a great way is just amazing.😊

While this movie couldn't get me to cry from my overwhelming numbness, this is one of the few things that has shot my body with so many horemones that I knew from one scene that this movie impacted me forever. when he finally opens his ears my chest constricted so much it almost hurt. this movie is one of the most beutifull things ever

Forgiveness but its also about how to forgive yourself. How to live with pain you yourself has caused. Not only to forgive yourself but to love yourself; something that really connected with me and changed who I am today.

This video essay is not only well crafted but also very personal, which I appreciate. Silent Voice is one of my favorite movies ever. I don't think it was a coincidence that I found it not long after becoming a Christian. The part where Ishida begs God to give him strength really spoke to me, because he realizes then that he wants to live. The message of Silent Voice, that your past does not define you, is rooted in the Bible too. This movie strenghtened my faith in God as well as in humanity, and I would recommend it to anyone struggling with guilt or depression.

100%! As a Christian I also felt the weight of this! Especially since I have also struggled with depression and a lot of those tones were present in this.

I happened upon this video while listening to random videos and doing homework. I had to come back to comment. 1. I find the statement on the free genshin pulls extremely relatable. 2. Your perspective on the movie is really beautiful; you really put into words what I couldn't when I first watched this, and what I feel on a deeper level in my own life. Thank you for sharing this.

Just found this video after watching Cinema Therapy's on it.
Excellent work; you had me almost at tears as I'm in a similar boat. It gives me great joy knowing you, alongside this film, had someone to help make peace with yourself. I've yet to find my own peace for the mistakes I've made, and perhaps I never will; but seeing others find theirs does make me glad and, if anything, gives me a glimmer of hope.
Godspeed, both with your personal life and this channel.

This movie to me shows the true beaty of humanity, and that beauty is that we are imperfect, and we can change to be the best is our situation, and in this case it was to be better than our past and we can change the future as in the words of Shuzo Matsuoka "... Dont think about the past because it makes you angry, Dont think about the future because it makes you worry, instead live in the present....", and that chase to perfection makes us innovate and inspire people around us.

I had never watched anime before "A silent voice". after watching it with a few friends a few days ago I found myself to love it, the way I felt so connected with the characters and able to actually relate to shoya ishida was something I had never experienced in my life. This movie made me come to terms with the fact that we all make mistakes and even if we hate ourselves for it we can always forgive ourselves for it, to say this movie was a masterpiece would be an insult as this was by far one of the best films ive ever seen in my life and one of the only films ive cried whilst watching it. A silent voice saved not just me but alot of people. big up to the team at Kyoto Animation.

Silent Voice, I think, is what inspired me to learn sign language. Silent Voice will always be my first and favourite anime (If it can be called an anime) of all time. I never thought I'd cry over an animation so much and it truly has a special place in my heart. I was able to connect to this film in so many ways and it touches on a lot of heavy topics in a really eloquent way. It's amazing... really.

I watched a silent voice like 8 months ago now. I was in a really dark spot back then. Of course it didn't cure anything, but it helped me open up and see things with a more positive mindest.
I even got in a relationship shortly afterwards. Well, my EX broke up with me almost a month ago now. And that really broke me. I still have a lot of things I am looking forward to experience. But I am also so afraid of falling back in this dark spot if things don't work out.

A silent voice has small relatability within me and my own story, but I still find it to be a great film that has lead me to find myself leaking tears down my face as someone who has experienced some negative tendencies and have ended up numb to my emotions in occasion I find it quite a beautiful story in how it shows the growth of the main character. After halfway through this video I was utterly baffled by the lack of success this video has seen. Though it may have only slipped through the cracks towards me I think it deserves much more attention as you are extraordinary in how you deliver your words so soothing, and you should potentially look into more content like this.

I found the “motif” of the main character (sorry I forgot his name) seeing everyone with skewered or masked faces. In my own life I felt invisible, and so meek to the point I could barely look people in the eyes or face. Everyone who passed me was just a blur and I felt that nobody saw me.
And it’s not until I overcame or more so learned how to deal with depression, that I learned to *see* people, and saw there are so many kind and loving people in the world.
